Can we all appreciate how Jean is two steps ahead of everyone in this episode for the following reasons:
1. He immediately pointed out the gaping holes in Zeke's plan, something Yelena couldn't see since she was blinded by her idolizing of Zeke. Could you be 100% sure that Eldians wouldn't be left in peace, especially without the protection of the Founding Titan's control over the wall titans? Think about it...you could only effectively use the Founding Titan for 26 years (13 years with Historia + 13 years with her child), since you can't make any more royal blooded inheritors of the Beast Titan. Past that 26 years, will Marley and the other nations just leave the Eldians alone to die peacefully of old age?
2. He knew that there's something off about what Eren is doing. Though he didn't know what Eren's thinking, he suspects there's more to it than what Eren said at face value. Armin, Connie, and even Mikasa were too blinded by their emotions to think about it, but he did.
Zeke's plan could work only if these 3 steps were done (I'm anime only so don't answer me with spoilers)
1- Zeke sterilize all the Eldians and do a small rumbling to scare the world and transfer his titan to a non-royal person.
2- Some decades later, Historia receives the Beast Titan (or Colossal) and do another small rumbling and after her term, transfer her titan to a non-royal person.
3- Another bunch of decades later, Historia's son receives the Beast Titan (or Colossal) and do another small rumbling. At this point, eldians would be only old people and luckily the fear of this last small rumbling would be enough to they all die in peace even after the death of Historia's son, that would be one of the last surviving eldians.
However, it would still be a risky plan because after Zeke, Paradis would have only two royal people to keep it up and if one of them die before the time to heir a titan, the last eldians would be screwed.
@@islanoliveira The rumbling has to be a constant threat for it to work. It's the looming threat of it being used that would discourage enemies from attacking Paradis, and not so much an actual attack. Kind of like a nuclear deterrent. If they could only use it at certain times, then Marley could simply attack during times when they know they don't have a royal titan shifter (ex. between the time the Beast titan is with a non-royal and prior to Historia taking up the mantle).
And yes, as you mentioned, if Historia or her child die within that time, the Eldians are screwed. All it takes is for Marley to send an assassin or even bomb her home to render the Founding Titan useless. Either way, there's so much that can go wrong which was what Jean was saying.
Tbh it's easy to break Zeke's plan. When a titan shifter dies, the power goes to a newborn so if there is no baby anymore, there is no new founding if you kill his shifter. I guess the outside countries can send a hitman to kill the founding in his sleep. Even killing the royal family is easy with poison. Moreover they wanted to attack the island to get their ressources. They don't want to wait 100 years
@@jasonamigo023 Yeah, even with this steps I said it would be a difficult plan. The only way this could work 'til the end is if Paradis had at least 7 royal people. And even so, they probably would live hidden and separate one from another.
You wouldn't give the founding Titan to Historia's child, since that child would be bound by the King's Vow. The Founding titan would go to any Eldian within the walls and kept hidden. Think of it as the Founding titan is the nuclear bomb, and the Child is the launch codes. And when the child is old and dies most other Eldians would be dead or elderly.
OMG!! What a great adventure, I’m glad we are now all caught up and can finish this masterpiece together, !!!
Sadly I heard the series won't be ending in 2022. We are either going to get a Part 3 or a movie.

It was cool seeing you guys be so appreciative of the music, too many people (mostly manga readers) talked shit about the new tracks just because they weren't by Sawano and they didn't use YOUSEEBIGGIRL at every significant moment. Yamamoto did a great job lending a different vibe to the season that still felt true to the show's atmosphere.
I'm a manga reader but damn I don't think there's any better way to emphasize on the atmosphere when they zoom in on eren's face at the top of the roof with that music just coming out of nowhere after a long pause. The Calm Before The Storm. Perfect execution.
I loved the music for this S4. It wasn't as totally in your face as the others but it ups the drama without being front and center. Loved the soundtrack during the Warhammer fight. She was creepy and the music was haunting.
the thing is, the new tracks are actually mostly shit. (not a manga reader). they are cheap midi music crimes that compare nothing to the previous seasons.

@Jmr12 Erwin was asking indirectly eren about titan shifters who were infiltrated in the military but at the same time he was asking the readers/watchers what do you think the real enemy is foreshadowing the complexity of the real situation

It was just wonderful to experience Attack on Titan again for the first time in some way. It sounds weird but only through the Reactions did I get that special feeling...thanks for that and also for the great community that formed for it.
I've been here since S1E5 and have been waiting for every episode since. I have learned to love the two brothers and you can see how they have become more relaxed over time and the outtakes also show this won looseness...all in all just likeable :)
Thanks for everything so far and the last part of this masterpiece I am glad we experience together for the first time.
It's quite ironic that Zeke who wants to 'sterilize' the Eldians ended up laying on a bed of Daisies which is a symbol of fertility.

NOT A SPOILER:
The titan that grabbed Zeke was the one Zeke was tearing apart and throwing at Levi when they fought. You almost pieced it together yourselves - after Levi vs Zeke rematch you could see one of the leftover titan parts "twitching" and you noticed it too - Zeke dismembered the titan in a way that allowed it to regenerate. Nice backup plan by Zeke.

She did it so that Zeke and Eren can have body contact to activate the paths and let the story play out as it did in the end, because Ymir profitted from it

Genuinely some of the best aot reactors, when you truly like the show it really improves the quality of the videos. I watched from early season 1 with y’all, was good.
The one thing I love about this reaction channel that puts it above others is how you show appreciation for the aspects of the show that others overlook or never talk about. And that is the appreciation for the SOUNDTRACK. Which is by far my favorite part about aot and it makes me so happy other people also notice and appreciate it

I personally consider them to be on a separate side from Marley, because like you said, they're still Eldians and they know they're just Marley's pawns. As unrealistic as it is, considering the fact that their families are being held hostage and all, I still like the idea of them turning against Marley. Always love how Eren sees all this happening. Pieck not actually being a traitor, Galliard biting off his legs, the whole Marleyan army coming on Paradis, and his focus is solely on Reiner specifically. Part 2 gonna go crazy.

you guys are my favourite aot reactors. I never subscribe to reactors but I had to because I love how you analyze the characters and how you're not blind Eren fanboys or dudebro cultists like half the fandom is yet still love Eren as a character. Plus, you appreciate Mikasa/Armin & understand how they are central to the story, you don't hate Gabi even tho Sasha was a fav, you really got the meaning in "Children of the Forest," you question the actions of Jaegerists while still appreciating the aesthetic, Jean appreciation.... I can't wait to experience S4P2 with you two! I read this manga when it first serialized, hard to imagine I was 14 when it first started. Almost 30 now and the journey still isn't over yet lol.

Lol, a year. I saw first seasons at 2013 and had to wait 3-4 freaking years for just few more season 2 episodes to satisfy my newly discovered obsession. I just started reading manga at that point.
Oh wow! I don’t remember Porco being in the crowd before. When I first watched this I didn’t really care about the warriors. I just wanted to see more of the scouts. Now I just want Falco and Pieck to win. I’m accepting Reiner more but still can’t forget Marco. I feel bad for Mikasa and Armin. I love Jean. He’s fiery like Eren, but logical like Armin. It makes sense that he’s the one seeing through Eren.
