Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous Walls that protect them from Titans; gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. The story centers around Eren Jaeger, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackermann, and their childhood friend Armin Arlelt, whose lives are changed forever after the appearance of a Colossal Titan which brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Titans, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin join the Scout Regiment, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the Walls.

This cliffhanger is probably the nicest one out of all the possible other points in the story. Sets up the upcoming conflict and story beats that come into play in the next half.
The main issue was that there wasn’t a really good spot to cut without a cliffhanger and without cutting the arc in half. Unlike previous cours, you really have no other choice but to cut the Arc where they did.
The best choice would've been to air both parts together instead of the split. But, y'know, the production committee wants to capitalize on that hype, so they rushed part 1 and the split was inevitable
@@joaoassumpcao3347 Yeah I'm actually happy they split the arc 'coz otherwise the production would be so bad and maybe the animators wouldn't have literally any time to rest, hopefully the next part will be better in terms of animation and they truly need to prepare so well it because the crazy things that will happen in the next episodes won't be easy to animate at all
Actually i thought they were gonna cut it after the shooting down that guys head, if you know what i mean. But yeah thath still would've been a damn cliffhanger

You'll realize once the next season comes out, but this was honestly the best spot they could have left the season. Everything after this episode is going to be nonstop and would have made you probably 10x more pissed had they left it at any episode after this. MAPPA did you a solid here.

The best spot would probably be the all subjects of ymir thing, but that would require 5 more episodes, give or take, so this is basically the second best.

You should definitely, I know that the music and animation will definitely make it better but the scenes itself is enoigh to be mind blowing, but be sure to read it with color because when your not experience with manga like me you'll forget some incredible scenes easily and details somehow get lost because isayama may have improved his art but black and white image can only do so mucj

You’re right, they had to cut it at this part bcs this fight can’t be cut in half. It’s easily the best fight in the manga and a LOT of important stuff happens

A few fun theories of mine in short:
1) Falco becomes coördinate because of memories.
2) Eren has other intentions than Zeke for the sake of Mikasa and Armin because of the Owl.
3) Ackermann’s are Eldians whose body has been altered to be superhuman guards for the Royal Family but I think this one is kind of confirmed already.
4) Next season will give us a backstory of girl Ymir who made a deal of some sort with a devil or Titan and is connected with flowers and dolls since that is a re-occurring theme.

I've been spoiled so hard by Aot fans for some reason commenting on videos that has legit no relation whatsoever with Aot and it pissed me off so hard. I can't wait a year when some people will spoil me and say "It's not my fault if you don't read the manga", I'll read it and get it over with.

yeah it was 6 months ago !!!!
A lot of clues in trailers and flashes. Pretty sure Levi is dead. In the trailer of season 4 there were multiple flashes. 1) a re-occurring girl possibly Ymir that was probably connected with the outro of season 2 and the dolls/flowers from Eren’s vision in season 1. 2) Levi flying through the air after the explosion. 3) Levi dead with someone with brown hair next to the body (pretty sure that would be Hange). (There was also a weird glowing worm but that is probably connected with the beginning of the Titans but I cannot place what that is)

I think that Armin pretended to cry because he didn't want anyone to get angry and insult Yelena or Zeke's plan. Because...you see what happens to people who piss Yelena off...
Also re: the black and white discussion that y'all had, I think that there was a point at which there were options in the gray and the only option wasn't that either Paradis/Eldians survive or the rest of the world survives. But I think that they have passed the point of no return and that point of no return was the night of the festival in Liberio. What happened there basically solidified that Paradis and the rest of the world are going to clash inevitably. At any point before then, Paradis could have, for example, forced Hizuru to stop being obstinate for no reason and help them trade with other nations, or reached out to Reiner/Pieck to perhaps pull off a coup against Marley, or Zeke who can apparently contact Willy Tybur could have got him on board... There were a lot of other options, but only _before_ the declaration of war.
That's why I'm unhappy with people like Eren/Zeke/Hizuru/General Calvi/Willy; it might not had to be this way, but thanks to the stubborn or selfish or shortsighted actions of key actors, the world is now locked onto the path of destruction. Hizuru especially annoys me. Like, it was literally clearly established that Paradis was able to become allies with a nation through trade and diplomacy, so long as they had a conduit to communicate with them. So Hange asks them, "Hey Please help us become allies with other nations that don't like Marley like we did with you guys so that we do not have to do this Rumbling" and what does Azumabito say? Basically "nah we don't feel like it, we get less money that way, do the war thing"
Trust me, part 2 will be the epic anime arc ever

The few people who would've considered Willy's "grey area" were characters like Armin and Mikasa and Hange. But most of the people outside would refuse, and Eren himself also refuses. The only way to really achieve the grey area solution is to find some supernatural way to take the Ymir out of the subjects of Ymir for good and prove it. Otherwise the titan issue is just too big a deal.
Hell, even if the rest of the world were wiped out and Eldia alone remains, the power imbalance between eldians with titan powers and the eldians without is just way too massive. Not to mention if the founding titan is royal, the Eldian society itself is at the mercy of a single person. And then you have this awful thing of having to pass these titans down otherwise they'll just be born to poor kids who'll only have 13 years to live. It's just a messed up thing all around. Not worth preserving imo.

Yelena really shot a guy in the head and was like, "He doesn't represent us." And then she continued the situation like nothing happened. She's amazing.
And Pieck doesn't believe in or trust Marley, but she does trust the people she's grown up with, her friends and comrades. And unlike Zeke, she isn't going to just abandon them. She's amazing too. As expected of Pieck, that's exactly right.
In the flashback, she shot the commander in the head and was like "lets take a cup of tea".
Its like a habit for her.
Piek doesn't trust marley but still gonna lick their boots and work for them and help them kill innocents and conquer other nations 😂😂

there's Zeke's plan, there's Eren's plan, that alone are a couple options. There's the military's plan, there's the rumbling warning plan, before liberio they had even more options including returning it to royalty, covert options, attempts at diplomacy, etc. Even giving up is an option. I'm not saying any of these options are good, but to claim Zeke and Eren's plan exist as some kind dichotomy is just straight up incorrect
@@annaairahala9462 Bro Rumbling warning plan was good but there was no guarantee. Zekes plan sucks. Millitary's plan was to kill Eren and give someone else founding titan. They tried peace but it didn't work out. Whatever you do people of paradis will still be in danger so Eren's plan is right interms of protecting paradis.

I don't think Armin necessarily agrees with the plan. It's a bit extreme and still supports genocide, which is something that Armin wouldn't support. Maybe he was genuinely shocked when he realised the reality of their intentions. No spoilers tho, please.
armin has always been a masterclass actor and uses his ability to verbally manipulate to his advantage sometimes
