WAR SUCKS. No matter which side, the people getting hurt are not the ones making the decisions. Everyone wants their family home and maybe this might save someones life. shout out to mad tech for his excellent posts and always being on top of the info. www.youtube.com/@MadRC
like dude wtf man how this gonna work they getting blown up before they know to grab there vtx and what they just guess raceband 8 i guess theres 40 channels
100% Wrong. This is obvious who's right and who's wrong. If you have difficulty figuring that out, you really need to check your morals. Bro... how can you possibly be on the fence about this?
SHAME ON YOU!!!
I saw a 45 minute documentary (named Darwin's War, unfortunately) on the drones being built in one of those country's, Saw a LOT of parts I recognized being used....... Not cool.
The Rush Tank Max Solo has a nice cooling fan for blasting up to 2.5 watts.
@@richfromtang seems you think people Born in different countries and ruled by whatever mad politicians are fighting a war out of their free choice.
Shame on you not caring about all lives. Whats wrong with Stew wanting peace?
👏👏👏 Thank you for setting an example of what being a good person is! Those guys out there are suffering from war and you care about life. I wish more people would be like this and our world would be so much nicer and we wouldn't have to worry about evil technology. God bless you 🙏
You could build a rig and put 48 together to hit all channels all the time.
was just thinking about this the other day, you could spread boxes every half mile or so with each one of them having a big battery, a solar panel, and a 1000mw vtx for every channel. problem solved.
if a vtx is very storng like 10 W every channel sucks.
@@interbudelblag good point, you could just do one insanely big vtx that bleeds into every channel
Guys he needs his meds adjusted you'd be hit before you found the channel. Amazon RF and mobile blocker, much better idea. Easy to boost signal.
If your being bombed by drones you have a bigger problem.
Plus their mainly using digital on the front lines now. After sending spotter planes all last year their requirements and specs have changed alot.
I really think he's going through something again.
@@atw98 that’s why I’m saying have jammers dropped into an area via airplane. Jam all the frequencies at once
I've been saying they should carry an analog screen and just scan the bands and channels all the time so they can at least see what the enemy drone is seeing. That way you know where it is, where it's heading, etc. Both sides are using countermeasures and jamming frequencies. I watched a video where an FPV pilot lost 3 or 4 drones before he finally got one through the countermeasures to hit his target. A small FPV team headed out to the battlefield with 80 drones for their mission. They stayed until all 80 drones were either lost or blown up from hitting their targets.
best video on the topic thus far, you sir got me into this awesome hobby and its a bit scary seeing it be used for horrible things
WE JUST WANNA DO FLIPS IIN THE PARK
It won't work well. The VRX is far away and hardly affected by a ground level VTX. It's better to knock out the RC link at 868 or 915 Mhz if it's TBS, or 2.4Ghz.
Would be curious to see how this would work powering the VTX up across a field from the video feed, not just right next to it.. Good point.
Excellent video Stu! I love your passion here.
Stu you’ve got a big heart! Good on you!
Well said Stu, loved the frankness of this video.
Love this. We love you stu
I like your attitude
Top man
Well said.
Where do you put the tourniquet for a head wound?
The neck. DUH! lol
Stu you.. yes you got me into the hobby with the first 99 dolar build, since then the world has gone to hell in a hand cart with legistlation, fueled by the corps that cuddle up to the powers that be scaremongering to make money. The hobby has never been an issue and bad actors will never register etc. Using these craft for war or terror was always going to happen. But lets hope common sense prevails and we can provide the good people options against bad actors.
And what? hope they selected one of the 40 channels the craft is on?
Just make some suitcases with 48 vtx and a solar panel and every channel is blocked
I remember when Red Cat officially came into the FPV community back in 2020. Underlying all the fanfare with Rotor Riot and FatShark, I didn't have a good feeling about the arrangement. Jeff Thompson seemed sketchy to me.
It's unfortunate how FPV and multi-rotors in general have been systematically undermined, thru hyperbole and scare tactics.
Bob's not my Uncle 😂
Going to Google this asap
and it would be more effective to have something more complex that actually listens in on the relevant channels (ideally not just 5GHz, but 868/915 MHz and 2.4 GHz too) and if it sees something, starts sending random crap - a black video signal might be relatively easy to ignore (also listening until someone else sends a signal will make it way less dangerous because your not broadcasting your location all the time)
dude this is awesome.
Great video! Can you jam it with goggles? ✌🏴
Unfortunately, the goggles only have a receiver you need a VTX that transmits a signal.
@@CharlieFaulk Ah.... got you. Cheers, dude... Great video. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thank you! It needed to be said.
Awwwww GIDDY UP!
Want to team up bro? 😂
Keep on keep'n on Stew! Love all the vids man!
Yeah, just remember, when you have a weaponized drone targeting you all you have to do is grab your vtx and find the pilot, ask pilot which band/Chan they're on, change vtx freq, stand next to pilot and then power up vtx. Good luck! 🤦♂️
Actually why has the army not started putting signal blockers on the tanks and stuff it would render the drone attack useless over night
best video ever Stew.✌
Legend mate
Not a bad idea for ANYBODY to know this
Love it! ❤
If FPV bomb is chasing you, you definitely have time to search what channel it is on, and set your vTX, yeah right
Well said
If blocking the video feed would be this simple in the trenches fpv drones would not be that much of a threat they are. Radio interference is a nasty thing and usually it does not want to work the way you want them to work. For an actual usable solution I'm sure that you would need much more tech.
But I get the point that the goal of this video is to send out a message to everyone involved.
First baby
Looks like you were third to me.... get a life anyway
@@ro-z155 I was 354th and I don't have a life either.
I feel the same way about the hobby. It was designed to be FUN but yet leave it to big corporations like Red 🐈⬛ to profit from the deaths of our fellow human beings who probably don’t want to be on the battlefield.
Still entertaining Stu! You’re the Aussie version of John Cleese. And please take better care of yourself, watch that blood pressure, lay off the carbs a bit, chase the kids around or just walk and enjoy nature as long as nature doesn’t try to kill you.
rotorriot is owned by redcat 😬
Redcat owns rotorriot 😬
If my country was attacked, it wouldn't take a corporation to get me to arm my drones and use them as weapons. I'd rather engage the enemy from a distance instead of up close with a rifle. This war has everyone coming up with all kinds of ideas. I've been thinking about the TOW missile that has a wire on a spool attached that's used to control the flight path of the anti-tank missile so it can't be jammed. That shoudl also work for an RC plane. You have to be closer than with normal RC, but it can't be jammed & would be very precise.
I love this
Ukraine just ordered a bunch ff DJI fpv goggles and air units after watching this
We've been using them for a long time now tbh
@@marinebymistakeno you haven’t, he just discovered this! 🤫🫣🤣🤣
So that's one fix for analogue..........
So how to stop digital next...
DJI, Hdzero, Walksnail.....
The solution was always broad range jammer guns. They should have developed and licensed those instead of thinking they could regulate drones
Pretty sure it's already done years ago. There are cellphone jammers been in place. Doesn't much matter if it is digital or analog either. You put out enough noise the digits get messed up too. But nothing has to operate in this limited spectrum the hobby is limited to either.
@@williwonti Problem is physics, why not just jam the sun light. They can't see in the dark right?
@@tubekrake drones have thermal cameras nowadays
Yes bruv
I have been watching you for almost 5 years, and I think that was the best thing I have ever heard you say!!! They are all people! On both sides. Just because 1 egg is bad, does not ruin the dozen!
Are you insane or something? I'm from Ukraine, did I come to russia to start a war there? Did I invade them and occupy their lands? How the hell is this "they are all people on both sides" when there's one side clearly invading another country??? Wtf is wrong with you people, is this a joke? "1 egg is bad, doesn't ruin the dozen"??? So if 1 russian soldier shoots us it means we should just let other 9 russian soldiers invade us and not try stopping them? You people are so deluded that russia would have absolutely zero problems with occupying your countries in two weeks.
Great video stu. Unfortunately the i was just watching a video where the wuy who started the mercenary group black rock i think it was called. Said that the only defence against them is nets. Theyve tried jamming and everything. I may be wrong about the name of the company but yeah
Nice job illuminating the problem and a tactic to minimize the problem. Crazy to think that the FPV hobby was weaponized but I guess it may be the reverse. Peace is overdue.
Tell that to russians maybe? "FPV was weaponized" is a weird thing to say like it's bad, because I'm from Ukraine and I know personally that FPVs saved our country and continue doing that while the West can't get their shit together and help us win against the aggressor. This is just shameful how all of you are saying something about peace when in reality you just mean capitulation. Say it outright then - you don't care about countless cities getting destroyed to the ground or thousands of people dying because of the invasion, you just want it to end and how it ends doesn't matter to you, even if it ends in russia fully capturing my country and annihilating our nation, our history, language and culture. Thanks! That's great "Peace" advice for sure
You're not fat, maybe just a little bit chubby!😅
Nah a little tinsy bit chubby maybe (okay fat).
Hilarious 😂
I agree with you TOTALLY! Im SICK OF WAR AND PEOPLE DYING! Thank you for the info!
How about you tell that to russians? My country didn't invade russia, we didn't occupy their cities and kill their civilians with freaking artillery and plane bombs. Or do you just not care? All that matters is that there's some kind of "peace", while in reality it will be capitulation and full occupation by russia of my country, followed by the annihilation of my nation, language, culture and history? Does that not matter to anyone anymore?
how about saying that to russians then? Ukraine didn't invade or occupy anyone, if you forgot
Well. Im glad you understand we are all human.
except orcs
Very controversial topic. But as you wrote it, WAR SUCKS.
I am nit sure if that also applies to digital FPV because of wide span signals or frequency hopping.
Fight war not wars
I like the no bullshit zero fucks given version of you...refreshing
artillery teams blindfiring 5.8 ghz emissions now😂
You’re a legend.
Fuck yeah man. Well said and great opening 💪
Very well said. 0 sense and 0 relation to the real situation in Ukraine. Wow, so great!
Just use a 1 million watt... Vtx and bleed across every channel 😅and point the camera straight at your ass lol
great, now any idiot who doesn't like flying a drone can come/hide the devices somewhere and ruin someone's day. It's great that I shared this great jamming device with the audience...😑
Perfect. I will never follow this channel again.
I love it bro lmfao
Doesn't matter who, where or when.
Shame is drone tech now being so cheap n easy, it's now a war tool Ike it or not. That's reality.
It now can be used to shine bad light on the FPV community too.
Oh, they are dangerous weapons of war.
Just wait a little time, probably not long.
Both sides, and all armies will be deploying FPC drone jamming tech. Think I saw Russia have units on tanks and even small ATVs. Backpack models too.
Crazy times to see how our joy can be used for so much harm.
It's that cheap because all the components needed are used in every Smartphone for the last 20 years. And they build over a Billion Smartphones every year.
I guess Putin will give you a medal. Congrats. While rest of the world....
Aren't you a Silly Billy
Stupid comment
Yeah doing russian propaganda a favor, "all people matter" and other crap. Sure, one side invaded another country and tries to occupy it, another side tries TO SURVIVE. Yeah, please help me to understand who's right here, because it's such a tough situation!
good work stuart . i agree with your intent and G F C to anyone who disagrees. saving lives is worht more than any political issues. most of the people in ukrane have no choice but to be there.having sead that im betting that the drones will have been modifed by now to use channels that we dont have access to. as both sides are using electronic warfair to counter the drones. what sort of range would this have ?
"most people in Ukraine have no choice but to be there" YEAH BECAUSE IT'S THEIR HOME MAYBE? AND MAYBE RUSSIANS ATTACKING THEIR HOME MEANS THEY NEED TO PROTECT THEMSELVES? AND GUESS WHAT, IF THE WEST CAN'T GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER THEN MAYBE FPV DRONES ARE LITERALLY SAVING MY COUTNRY RIGHT NOW? WAKE THE HELL UP ALREADY
Most Russian soldiers, at least at the moment, are contract soldiers, not mobilized. They signed up because the paycheck is far better than whatever other work is available in rural Siberia (etc.)
So I don't and won't feel bad for them. A much more foolproof way to not get blown up by an FPV drone is to LEAVE UKRAINE.
Anyway, neither side is so dumb that they couldn't figure this out if it was that simple. It's not that simple.
Lost alot of respect for you.
Wrong. this is obvious who's right and who's wrong. If you have difficulty figuring that out, you really need to check your morals. Bro... how can you possibly be on the fence about this?
Bro.. he doesn't have to toe the party line in his video. Relax
I think it is obvious he is against the side of death drones. Can't believe he doesn't like those.
It really is obvious that Ukraine/NATO are wrong but I honestly don't expect Stu to take sides either way.
@@Axiomatic75 are you insane? So the small country gets invaded, occupied and destroyed by a 140 million people nuclear state and you're like "yeah, Ukraine is at fault here". Go to a doctor please, you're clearly crazy
I can't believe people in the West are still so asleep, it looks like the russian missile hitting their house won't wake them up, they will just say "oh maybe it was an accident, after all russians are people too! let's have peace!" freaking crazy
This is just a virtue signal. Nobody is going to see an attack drone coming and go grab their spare vtx for scrambling. Plainly ridiculous.
maybe have one powered all time, they are cheap and easy to use. just think that Russians are building entire tanks to resist fpv drones, to me that sound stupid when you can do what he showed for WAAAAY less money
Since when does giving a damn get labeled with that regurgitated phrase. Here is is a signal … why are you so salty? Lighten up laugh , love , live. And have some virtue.
Battlefield drone vtx transmitters are probably 2.4 ghz or lower for range, penetration, and better video. Additionally, a drone is in the sky, where transmission distance will be much greater. Someone with a transmitter on the ground won't be able to interfere with video of a ground operator some distance away. All this in addition to not knowing the frequency of transmission.
My concern with this video is that civilian drone haters here in the US and elsewhere are going ro take this info and run with it, much akin to what happened with 72 Mghz radio frequency jamming for model aircraft. If a hobbies looses video feed, that could be a bad day. Some "Karen" could definitely use this info and cause issues.
@@rcmanicmd 2.4 ghz is not as common tho, 5.8 is way easier to get and still fine for longrange. footage of the drones uses shows the normal 5.8 antenna and vtxs so that basicly confirms that 2.4 is very rarely used if not never used in war.
tho i agree with the karen part, that can lead to bad choices.
the ground station part i kind of disagree, if you disturb the signal when you are close to the drone but far from the ground station the signals will melt into eachother overlapping data. it happends even on digital that is a complex and more solid in some way comunication.
the frequency part i think is solvable by switching the jammer between the main channels very quickly since video recivers need a bit of time to arrange data this will disturb for sure that algoritm
That's a very narrow view point my friend. This could potentially save a life. Maybe you don't need such a thing right now but who knows what the future holds.
Assuming the fellow flying the FPV is using the frequencies covered, and has no mesh network, no AI terminal guidance, no VPS, no high power mother link, no multi spectrum/multi spread, no laser terminal guidance, and no swapped chain of command terminal guidance (from RF to internal programming once RF link degrades), you might be just fine. Jammers all over the battlefield, they're only good for a few hours (if at all) due to changing frequencies/bands and completely useless with new software driven tech (FPV hit count against Russians has gone up in recent months DESPITE jammers the size of trucks on the RU side that can broadcast for miles/kms). War does suck BUT defending your country from a lawless, invading army that bombs your cities, tortures and kidnaps your children, and has a list of war crimes in the thousands IS not sucky at all.
it!
Ya, and scre redcat, they own rotorroit and sre misleading about what they really care about, also rotorriot donated drones to the war too, look it up, they were proud of it 🤮.
Why shouldn't they be proud? They donated to help my people protect themselves from an invader. Are you insane, you want my small country to protect itself against a 140 million people nuclear state by itself? Do you just want us to capitulate and let USSR 2.0 occupy us, destroy our culture, history, language and nation? This is what you're saying, right?
I really don't get why it shouldn't matter which side your on. Russia is clearly the aggressor and Ukraine is defending themselves and their freedom. What's wrong about taking sides with a democratic country? Greetings from Europe (Germany)
