  • Finally! The old sentra returns for its first race since 2014! It has been a long road to recovery since it was wrecked head on in to the wall. Still have a few issues to work out though...

    Wouldn't be a proper project car unless it immediately broke as soon as you fixed it right?

    I race wilmot on the weekend and the 12 hot wheels is one fast machine now!

    Looking at a 1991 Sentra coupe like this to race as a ucar, what can I do to give the Nissan some extra ponies?

      All engines are air pumps. Get more air in and out and it will make power! Make sure you have the SR20 engine to start with as it's a great platform to work with.

    What size tire do you run on this b13?

    • @thatracinglife
      @thatracinglife  3 роки тому +1

      Obviously depends on the track and where you want the engine to live. For this particular track I think it was a 205/60/15

      @@thatracinglife awesome thanks!! Let me first say love the content. Have watched all your videos multiple times over the past year. This will be my first year running a circle track car and I will be running a Infiniti g20. home track-1/4 mile semi banked track. Car came with 185/65/14 but just driving it on the road I feel like I don’t have enough gear in 2nd or will be too low in rpm in 3rd. Was thinking of pulling my 13’s off my Sentra to run in 3rd. Or I’m guessing like you run a bigger tire and run in 2nd. Any helpful tips is much appreciated. I’ll be running in south Texas.

      @@TheRuralOnes Awesome dude! Yeah, the only way to tell tire size is to try it out. It being a 1/4 mile I'd guess you're better off trying the bigger ones and 2nd gear. That generally ends up working out the best. Automatics also tend to have a longer 2nd gear.

    Gotta try driving with 2 feet

    • @thatracinglife
      @thatracinglife  6 років тому

      Erik Johnson I do in cars without power brakes. But it doesn't hurt in these cars if you do it right. I just personally feel like I have a more delicate feel with right foot in cars with power brakes.

    • @erikjohnson359
      @erikjohnson359 6 років тому

      That Racing Life oh okay I gotcha I usually use 2 just because I get a tiny bit better response but it’s probably minuscule whatever feels better you should come to painesville speedway in that enduro car around thanksgiving it’s a fun race

    • @thatracinglife
      @thatracinglife  6 років тому

      It has less delay for sure. Circle track is so much about rolling speed not necessarily jamming on the brakes. So I just feel like there isn't a benefit since you are rolling the entries a lot anyways. But it just comes down to what's comfortable for you!

      a 2nd gear pull is a 2nd gear pull. A lot better to tune on a dyno too, but you make do with what you have!

      That Racing Life miles unknown, price is kinda of up to the buyer, has slight tree damage as of 3 weeks ago lmao. Broken windshield. The engine/trans were strong when we had it on the road. It was project with my oldest and I but after the tree deal he walked away from it. We live in GA btw lol.
