- Race 2 is finally up! Talk about DRAMA... Here we go! Honda Prelude is back in action! Finally fixed and ready to dominate. Except things didn't quite go our way. Thats racing though isn't it?

I like the full race like this. You could condense it or 3x the speed if there are long uneventful parts, but frankly I like the experience you provide with the full race. An extra 20-30 mins on top of an hour isn't really that big of a deal.

Usually I just edit those parts out. Try to keep only whats somewhat interesting in there. Thanks for the input!

Thanks dude! New video coming Saturday! The hand waving is to let the people behind you know you are slowing or there is danger ahead. This class of cars have no brake lights. Just a friendly way to let people behind you know whats going on. Can save you from being rear ended!

I really want to start racing just for fun on the weekends. Is there anyone around the green bay Wisconsin area that could help me get a car and help me build it. I have never raced before but I have always wanted to try it. I would like to start with a front wheel drive and I don't want to spend a ton of money on the car or stick a lot of money into one either this would just be for something fun to do once in a while
So im still kinda new to these kinda races, and this question might sound kind of stupid and may seem really obvious to some, idk, but what does the waving mean? Is it a way to say that youre sorry for bumping into another driver or does it indicate something else? Also love the vids btw, super fun to watch and just makes me wanna go build a car and race so much more
Waving is a way to let people behind you know you're slowing down or theres an incident ahead. These cars dont have brake lights so it's a way to help everyone not tear up equipment for stupid reasons.

Pretty much. Sort of an obstacle course at that point. I dont agree it's the best way, but it's just how they do it.

I'm not familiar with this type of asphalt racing but why do they leave the messed up cars on the track and just have everyone drive around them? We do dirt racing and the race will be stopped to haul the cars back to the pits
Part of the rules of this particular series. adds "obstacles" I honestly don't like it. But they pay out the most so I deal with it.

They have many names for them. Pure stocks, compacts, bandit, mini stock etc. Entry fees range from 20 to 200 for the big dog races.

@@zragevii4705 Depends on the track, series and rule sets. Some are just about no rules and others are very strict to keeping the cars stock.

@@thatracinglife thanks! I actually ran a few ISS races, so if you rather have a rookie get in the seat, I would understand. Its interesting your strategy at Jefferson seems to be the low side while at Norway you were top shelf. I would of thought you would work the high groove at Jefferson and use the progressive banking in 3/4., but your stuff is fast, you can pin it on the inside on the front stretch and pass where I wasn't able to.
Contest is open to anyone! Yeah, prelude was a good car when it worked. I honestly will go to any groove that has the open space. The prelude was faster up high, but I have to run where there isn't any cars.
@@thatracinglife I hit one of those loader tires going entering the pits... it got pushed up there not giving me enough room. horseshoed a tie rod. Seems like the wall just bottlenecks the highside in this video. I just like the strategy part of the game.

It's a circle track thing. Everyone does it as a courtesy to let them know you're slowing down or there is something happening ahead.

The prelude had the v-tech right
Vtec* yes. All of the 5th gen preludes had the H22A vtec engine. The older ones had different non vtec engines.

Sadly you were at Jefferson and the only drivers they care about are their own, if you aren't one of them, they don't care what happens to you and will blame you for the accident.
It wasnt a call made by Jefferson staff. It was the enduro series. I take the blame. They made the right call.

I only saw 2 do things wrong and the 1st one I bet most racers would have done as you did....STOOD YOUR GROUND!!!
#1....When you and that #5 first tangled I saw how he was holding you up and break checking you. I feel he was doing this intentionally to help his "bro" gain more of an advantage over you thus keeping you from the win. Chickenshit move in his part if you ask me. In all the yeats I have raced there has ALWAYS been the 1/4 rule....if the nose of your car is 1/4 into the length of the other car ( or in front of the rear tire) you have the right away and the lane is yours, if not then it is you that must yield.
You were at his tire so I would say fault was on him.

At the tracks I race at if someone INTENTIONALLY ttys to take you out....as you can Cleary see you were on the right of him going INTO a left turn...so why did he turn right striking you in the door?
Again I say he was holding you up for his "bro".
As sap as that happened he should have been black flagged. The tracks I attend he would have been black flagged and if he do not remove himself from the track the race would have been red flagged and then he would have been removed from track...via the "hook" if he still protested.
The ONLY thing I could say the blame was in you was after the race you tried to follow the #5 off the track instead of going straight to start finish line.
I have over the years raced at some really cool tracks and also at some really lame ass tracks.
They offer up a big money purse to pull in cars.....bit then they seem to black flag ANY driver that seems to be a threat to their local boy....those places I never return to.
Seems as if this track might be one of those lame ass tracks.
I really like the racing vids like this one but wish you would do some dirt track racing.
Is really fun in these lil 4 bangers.

Thanks for the comment. Chicken shit move for sure! Pretty ridiculous honestly. The issue here is that when there are 100 cars on a 1/4 mile its impossible to see every incident that happens. Somehow some way no one saw either interaction between him and I. Only the retaliation after the race. I didn't feel like a love tap to say thanks was that big of a deal at the time. I see where the officials come from. Having a zero tolerance for these types of things is ok with me. The stuff cut at the end was cut because there wasn't much significance or you couldn't hear what was being said.
We will be running more dirt racing in 2020 for sure. So stick around for that!

I drive a 04 corolla S. Run it on dirt track.
How does the Corolla do? Not many people race Toyotas.
@@thatracinglife I really like mine. I run -3 degree of camber on the right and +3 degree of camber on the left. Run staggered air pressures on all 4 corners. I'm from Appalachia VA. Also set toe out in the front at 3/16. It handles extremely well. And freight trains down the straights.
