Please read this with open mind. In every country, perception against minority and majority population is different. When one Sikh helps anyone, they are stereotyped as "generous, helpful and selfless community". Whole community gets stereotyped, with action of one individual. Just think how ridiculous is this. I cant believe that no one has encountered greedy, selfish human who associate himself with Sikh religion. Though this narrative does not happen with majority population. If someone (from majority) helps me, I will recognize the person as "someone". Not by their religion. Quint was wrong in asking that question. As creator, he has right to portray, his fiction story as deemed fit. Answer was also callous in nature, avoiding stereotyping with minority. But I guess, one can beat stupidity with stupidity only.

I told a director some 30-40 years ago to watch Ghost and Sister act to see Whoopi Goldberg act w ho is not a looker but in those movies can't imagine anybody else. That's acting. If you watch old movies actors were not this insecure; Especially Savitri, Jamuna and Vanisri just ate the screen space with their amazing presence. Sarada too.

(Of course this doesn’t excuse complicity in a system that thrives on Brownface and it’s on her AS WELL AS the makers)

For showing out the worst of the Telugu industry I call my Telugu brothers and sisters to boycott this show and put him out of business. Totally agree with Radhika, In most of Telugu movies I observe that Actresses is only love interest of Lead role and adore how great her man, so unrealistic. And why should a actor or a actress share about their personal life !!!

@@VVsupremacy many of them take the profits also
See for an actor like akshay salman and LIKE TOP INDIAN HERO
Even there worst acclaimed film earns around 200 crores
So they can ask for that
Plus nowadays they produce there own films
So they earn even more than 135 crores
For example
Mission mangal was made on a budget of 30 crores and akshay was producing it
And the film earned more than 200 crores so all the profits went to him
@@VVsupremacy see its basically a buisness right
Whoever gets more audience, they will get more money
So if akshay and salman and others ask for money like 100 crores, the producers know that they can recover there money back

Or sometimes these actors charge less and they take higher percentage in profits

Everytime I watch movies, I leave it there. I know being an actor/director/politician/dancer/singer or any kind of public figure, yes politicians too .. these people are very high in character, very God- fearing, very generous, very forgiving. They can't survive like sadhus, they handle each stone thrown at them. Meet these people in person n you will me in awe, as if you could not believe such humanity can even exist.
As much as I like Radhika, as much as we can all agree how many Telugu films are indeed patriarchal, It's hard to see her proudly blaming the WHOLE industry! I mean come on! She's a great actress, right? She would've looked at the scripts, right? SO SHE AGREES TO DO THE FILM, RIGHT??!!
THIS IS SIMPLY WRONG
Yeah, she should have chosen right words to be politically correct. We can just not watch her content, or we can go troll her on social platforms. But tomorrow someone else will tell us the truth again.. It will be a breath of fresh air if we start seeing less of patriarchal content in every film industry.
I’m completely agreeing with you. This guy is a paid critic who works with the Bollywood mafia. He doesn’t prompt any Telugu movies. Once Rrr Radhe Shyam and Aadhipurush releases its game over for Bollywood and all other industries.

The likes of Radhika Apte and Taapsee Pannu are IMHO quite hypocritical 'coz they didn't mind all the "patriarchy" and "objectification" as long as it helped them afford all their luxuries and indulgences but started attacking it once they opened their account in Bollywood.

Very few non marathi ppl know this.. Lata mangeshkar had a very difficult childhood. She had to start earning at a very young age. Her mother was Gujrati and dad a son of karhade brahmin and a maratha woman. Her paternal grandfather, Ganesh Bhatt Navathe Hardikar (Abhisheki), was a married Karhade Brahmin pujari who performed the abhisheka of the Shiva lingam at the Mangueshi Temple in Goa. Her grandmother, Yesubai Rane, was his Devadasi mistress from Goa Since Deenanath Mangeshkar's parents were not married to each other, he did not inherit his father's caste and surname but instead inherited his mother's caste. Her maternal grandfather, Seth Haridas Ramdas Lad, was from Gujarat, a prosperous businessman and landlord of Thalner in then princely state of Indore which came under maratha (Scindia/shinde family) rule.
A union not easily acceptable to society back then.
Jim Sarbh's NO I WON'T was classic
Radhika - love you kid, for speaking the brutal honest truth about Telugu film industry. It's all about Sons of yester actors, directors and producers. They want fair and extremely fair women to stand as garnish for a dish on the side. They won't allow strong females or dark skinned females in their movies. But this is reflective of who is watching the movies. The sad thing is other than NTR Jr none of these actors from film families have acting chops - so they create the extreme violent stunt scenes with unbelievable "rakshas" energy in the male leads that they can take on 100s of bad men and a handsome Sonu Sood as well (who looks taller, more muscular and more fit tthan these guys)
Exactly 😊. Why don't they allow the dusky heroines more... I'll never understand. How did tamanah or that girl in almost every allu Arjun movie get a chance. They're not even Telugu
@@randomlyswatching9481 omg yes. I'm so sick of seeing super pale white heroines like Tammanah everywhere. I don't have a problem with pale heroines but it's weird when you see ONLY them and no darker heroines. It's a issue everywhere and I'm really hoping it changes
@@saorihirai4492 I have no issue actually with non Telugu heroines; most of them are really working hard on different languages.
Sarada too. They all have their own specialties that audience came to watch. I still watch movies like Kanya Sulkam, Missamma, Gundamma Katha, maya bazaar - ensemble cast like that is not possible today!!
