Man, but Mani Ratnam making Iruvar right after Bombay (especially after the bombing incident) might be one of the most audacious moves any Indian filmmaker has made to date and I think it does not get enough credit, considering how good both these movies were.
There was a time when 'big' stars wouldnt mind doing cameos in other 'big' star movies... not any more... a lot of the younger/ newer actors are insecure and their PRs are always trying to put blind articles across and other tactics to bring their contemporaries down. I recall Aamir not wanting to do the Om Shanti Om song for Farhaa with SRK and all the other actors... Ajay on the other hand was rightfully applauded for doing his 'small' yet important role in Gangubai (interview with Anupama on Film Companion) even though he was not the 'star' of the movie and he didnt think it was a big deal. He was more into collaborative good work than competition
When the PR is less to promote oneself and more to create a comparative analysis among those within the industry, its bound to lead to toxicity and lack of unity
@@TriedRefusedProductions these PRs are on the mission of making these actors superstars but they don't even realise that one doesn't become superstar overnight, it takes decades for that actor to make place in people's heart.
I really respect t series for commercially backing Kartik Aryan, Triptii dimri but they often get involved into stupid fighting with other production houses.😅
The problem with our Indian documentaries on actors was that they mostly fill it with interviews praising the actors by other actor and don't show their struggles and what qualities made them apart and rise and what is their ideology and feels more like a highlights about the actor. I liked Rajamouli documentry and yrf Romantics since they atleast discussed the inside stories to some extent
The controversy happening between Nayan and Dhanush has occured with S.P Balasubramaniam and Ilayaraja too. Illayaraja sent court notices to Balu saying that he has to be paid a part of royalty whenever the shows of songs composed by him are performed on big stages. While one can argue about camradiere btwn the legends and how can one sue each other, on the other hand, it is justifiable on Illayaraja's part to ask for his share when singers make such huge amounts by performing yesteryear songs.
a percentage cut or a fixed amount decided is still I think justified. But litigation and notices often get so messy, I think so many of these disputes or grievances can be settled behind the scenes. This makes such a spectacle out of everything
dhanush was obviously the right one here! you can't expect others products to use it for your financial benefits while you have no idea about paying them
@@mohammedraihaaan2251 Balu singing his 'own songs' is a subjective point of view. A music director 'composes' the song, a lyricist writes it, singer sings it, musicians provide music and actors act for that song. Entire sum of royalties to a single person when a whole team is involved in making it a song. Is it making sense?
Nayantara used 30 seconds of a song without permission or payment for promotion of her product and when the creators of the song approached her team citing breach of copyright, they just ignored them. The case is ongoing n she and her team have refused to pay them. But when it happens to her she is suddenly virtue signaling? Celebrities are so toxic, I can’t understand why people are watching that docu, I wouldn’t.
I think SRK's mean comments are often ignored disguised as a jokes but he is the rudest celebrity to exist in Bollywood. Openly criticized Aamir Choices while Aamir was never the first to even engage in conversations about srk or make mean comments and doesn't even seem to care about him.
I guess that's because comedy and sense of humor is subjective. What may be a sensitive topic for one, it may also be just humor or leg pulling for others.
I agree and I thought maybe it's a joke for native Hindi speaking people. There's also a statement of Amir Khan where he says jis bhi heroine ke hath mei mei thuka hu woh bohot badi star huyi hai. I felt that as an insult.
*it's funny how ajay is talking about bollywood and bombay film industry not being supportive to each other when he himself didn't push and change the dates of singham 3 and son of sardaar when both of their opponent movies bhool bhulaiyya 3 and jab tak hai jaan declared their dates way before. lol*
Jab Tak Hai Jaan was helmed by Yashraj Studios and they made a deal with distributors to lock in the number of screens with a guarantee that he would ensure Salman's Tiger release as a coupled deal. Because of that Ajay's movies weren't getting enough screens. He has ranted about it many times and hence started purchasing single screen theatres for showcasing his movies. Shah Rukh wasn't involved in that fiasco and it was between two studios Yashraj and Ajay's.
A new thing has come in the industry, whose name is OTT. We have to make a deal with OTT before the release or announcement, that we will give you our film and OTT will stream this film on time, and if the film gets postponed then OTT people put pressure. Dear Anmol, i love the way you present the facts. Facts have many sides to it. I request you to do a video on the sorry state of the theatre artistes all over India. Nayanthara may be a star but it doesn't mean that she is an extraordinary actress. I am from Kerala, her native place. There are many talented actors and actresses living in poverty. Nayanthara after achieving fame has gone astray. Please also bring out great actors achievement and contributions through your vlogs
My marathi homies have almost none to zero beefs going in the industry compared to the shid happening around various industries. god bless u people. touch wood.
Hey I really love your videos. They're super sophisticated and well researched. I was wondering if you could perhaps add english translations to clips when other languages (mainly hindi) is spoken?
I felt that this documentary was more like an advertisement for the brand "Nayanthara." It's a very basic documentary. Coming to the Nayanthara-Dhanush issue, everyone knows that Nayanthara and Dhanush were very close friends. Nayanthara made a guest appearance in one of Dhanush's films, in a song, reportedly without taking any payment. However, over time, that friendship began to break apart. Nayanthara herself mentions in the letter that the success of Naanum Rowdy film hurt Dhanush's ego. Nayanthara says that she understood this from the film circle, and I don't think she is lying about it. Furthermore, the information Nayanthara received came from a valid source, not from gossipmongers. What I want to emphasize is that no one is discussing Dhanush's ego or his desire for revenge. Society tends to approve of a man's ego as a symbol of strength, but when it comes to a woman, her ego is seen as arrogance. In the Nayanthara-Mamta Mohandas issue, if Mamta's claims were true, then it was Nayanthara's ego that got exposed. Everyone criticized her at that time. So, when a man has an ego, it is seen as a trait, but when a woman has an ego, it becomes a flaw. In this case, Dhanush's stubbornness is clear. It's not just about protecting the "producer's rights" as people often claim. Even Dhanush, for a decent amount of money, could have allowed Nayanthara's scenes in the film to be aired on Netflix, which would have been the respectful thing to do. Instead, he demanded an unreasonable sum, which was clearly not feasible. A couple of years before already , they became enemies, and just like how we wouldn't allow a stranger to build a house on our property, we wouldn't give permission to someone who became our enemy. Dhanush's feelings are understandable; jealousy is a human emotion. But at the same time, Nayanthara could also have her own resentment. She expressed her bitterness through a letter, and that's all there is to it. Dhanush is not a saint, and Nayanthara doesn't need to be a Mother Teresa. This is a woman who has succeeded in life without any comparisons, and continues to succeed. The cyber attacks on her now stem from society's desire to see her break down and fall. It's not a cry for the protection of a producer's rights.
Lmfao. This is the biggest "She's a women so shes a victim" i ever seen. For Naanum Rowdy Dhan, Dhanush suffered 10cr loss distrubition rights. Get your fact checked. Dhanush a 4X NAtional award winner who helped create icons like sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh is jealous of Nayan? Dhanush selling it for 10 cr is wrong but Nayan selling it for 25 cr to Netflix is right?
Recently wacthed the documentary "Music By John Williams" one of the most inspiring documentaries out there which captures his life of becoming a composer and also runs through his history so flawlessly!! It also has great balance to keep it engaging for non musicians but also enough technical stuffs to keep musicians on track and give others a glimpse into the world of composition.
"The Romantics" definitely is a perfect example of a documentary on an Indian film personality. I think, lot of these documentaries on Indian actors don't have the creative liberties since these actors want to control the narrative. Hence such a waste of resources
@TriedRefusedProductions okay I didn't know but I must say Vivek is a cheap person. I remember Salman had said in an interview that he didn't kill the animal, someone else did but he took the blame for it, I don't know what's the truth in that.

Bro only dhanush image is tarnished here. Behind the scene of a movie which is shoot by nayantara personal mobile is show how arrogant and egoistic Dhanush in real life and so many actresses share and like that post show everyone knows about that. Nayantara just exposed Dhanush. Now no going back for Dhanush.
Calling a self-made woman a thief for a 3 second BTS shot on her phone...Thankfully Copyright laws are not so predatory in nature. In a court of law Dhanush will clearly lose coz it was only a 3 sec clip and he did not suffer any financial loss due to that and neither was the 3 sec scene so significant to breach any copyright clause. If Nayan had any godfather in the industry this would not have happened. This was purely out of spite/vengeance on Dhanush's part and the law will not entertain that coz the motive is pure vengeance
The movie 1 nenokkadine (12.15) had a plot in which Kriti 's character follows and I mean literally follows Mahesh 's character everywhere he goes against his will so that she can interview him
I really want to know what is the problem...dhanush doesn't want to allow a 3 second clip...but are those 3 seconds so valueble that he can demand 10crs for it or will it change the documentary if it was removed?

I felt Nayanthara's documentary, if we can call it that, was extremely boring and had nothing insightful. As for the case between her and Dhanush, it's pretty public that they have animosity since 2014. When Nannum Rowdy Thaan was struggling to be kickstarted and get produced, Dhanush out of goodwill for Nayanthara, picked up the project and self funded it. It was a nightmare of a production. A simple rom com film had over 6 months of principle photography. Dhanush had insinuated that it was due to the relationship of Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan that the film production went haywire and lost objectivity. Due to the film having no perceived box office pull with the star cast, Dhanush had to sell the film at a lower cost than the budget. It was a distributional success but Dhanush faced losses. Now as for the legal case, I feel Nayanthara saw the bad quality of her Series and wanted to create a conversation of something sensational around the couple... A court case which had not been taken public by the other party could have been handled privately in court as it happens in the US. Unfortunately this is India, nothing is private... Not even a private legal notice. She may or may not lose in court. But rather than risking ambiguity, she unnecessarily dragged the case public and hit an arrow on two targets, promotion and sympathy. If a person was not providing you the NOC, not clearly replying or having sour feelings towards you due to past mishaps... You can skip adding something that is legally his content to a show that is about you. Why cry over others property?
The primary reason Dhanush withheld the NOC was due to the budget concerns surrounding Nayanthara's film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, directed by her husband, Vignesh Shivan. Initially, the project was promised to be completed within a budget of ₹5-6 crore, but it ended up exceeding the budget by an additional ₹10 crore. During this time, Dhanush discovered that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had started dating during the shoot. This revelation, coupled with the realization that their negligence and preoccupation with their relationship contributed to the budget overrun, left Dhanush frustrated. These factors played a significant role in his decision to withhold the NOC for the ₹10 crore overage. I believe, anyone would have done the same thing from Danush place.
The Old Video from the SRK Press Conference of My Name is Khan is very smartly edited and shown to Aamir Khan to get his reaction on the same....however SRK never used the word ''Chichora'' for Aamir Khan. He was actually referring to the frisking incident at the U.S Airport and stated that he didn't convey the discomfort he faced at the U.S Airport to market his film My Name is Khan and would consider such acts as ''Chichora'' after having worked in the industry for such a long time. he said sorry to the group who attacked his house too.. tagt group is very capable even bending countries.. let alone a mere director
@@RealRandomVideos it's weird him saying sorry to attackers
His role in Fitoor was also short yet impactful.
which young stars are insecure?? As far as i have seen all of Ranbir, Ranveer, Vicky have done cameos in films
Unity requires maturity and security which lacks today in the industry. Also these PRs of the new stars are destroying them.
Perfectly said ✨
When the PR is less to promote oneself and more to create a comparative analysis among those within the industry, its bound to lead to toxicity and lack of unity
@@TriedRefusedProductions these PRs are on the mission of making these actors superstars but they don't even realise that one doesn't become superstar overnight, it takes decades for that actor to make place in people's heart.

This makes such a spectacle out of everything
dhanush was obviously the right one here! you can't expect others products to use it for your financial benefits while you have no idea about paying them
How the fuck is it justified???? Can't Bala sing his own songs ??? Ilayaraja is greedy af

I agree with this take Shahrukh being rude and arrogant in real world
I guess that's because comedy and sense of humor is subjective. What may be a sensitive topic for one, it may also be just humor or leg pulling for others.
SPOT on
I agree and I thought maybe it's a joke for native Hindi speaking people. There's also a statement of Amir Khan where he says jis bhi heroine ke hath mei mei thuka hu woh bohot badi star huyi hai. I felt that as an insult.
Ashneer finally got the taste of his own medicine 💉
*it's funny how ajay is talking about bollywood and bombay film industry not being supportive to each other when he himself didn't push and change the dates of singham 3 and son of sardaar when both of their opponent movies bhool bhulaiyya 3 and jab tak hai jaan declared their dates way before. lol*
👀👀
BTW, SA release date confirmed by Rohit and Jio, not ajay.
Movie based on diwali theme can be released on Christmas?
If someone declared their date first doesn't mean they booked it, and like in case kanguva it declared its date first than coolie but despite that they changed their date in respect of rajni sir, but bollywood new comers doesn't have that respect in their mind!

Lol 😂
😂😂😂
Wtf bro😂😂😂😂
Such a beautiful, nuanced comment.❤
I am very eager to watch it, John Williams is the most celebrated film composer to ever live, can't wait to watch it

"The Romantics" definitely is a perfect example of a documentary on an Indian film personality. I think, lot of these documentaries on Indian actors don't have the creative liberties since these actors want to control the narrative. Hence such a waste of resources
I tbought you would show Vivek Oberoi's latest PR stunt in Rajasthan where he praised about Bishnoi people and the black buck incident.
that event was actually from February last year but resurfaced with the threats
@TriedRefusedProductions okay I didn't know but I must say Vivek is a cheap person. I remember Salman had said in an interview that he didn't kill the animal, someone else did but he took the blame for it, I don't know what's the truth in that.

Nayantara and dhanush do not get along for a long time therefore it's not surprising that dhanush didn't want to give noc u can call him petty or childish but 9tara pr went on to project him as some kind of evil abuser who exploited her and her insider outsider card is bs dhanush may have lots issues but nobody contributed as much as him to the industry in this generation only certified hit in her husband career is still the one that dhanush produced
Jammy, big admirers here!! Hoping for a better backdrop 😁 ( The old one was also good)
The Old Video from the SRK Press Conference of My Name is Khan is very smartly edited and shown to Aamir Khan to get his reaction on the same....however SRK never used the word ''Chichora'' for Aamir Khan.
