Bad Batch S1 EPISODE 7 Ending Explained + FULL BREAKDOWN - Star Wars: The Bad Batch

- Star Wars the Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 7, BATTLE SCARS has finally been released on disney+, and the terrifying cliffhanger with Wrecker’s inhibitor chip has finally come to a conclusion. The episode also has some awesome connections to the Star Wars games, book and comics, which give us some hints about what’s coming up in the next episodes.

So, the action begins with a heated dogfight between the Bad Batch’s ship, the Havoc Marauder and a fleet of Rhokai. Echo and Tech begin having their usual arguments about trying to fix the hyperdrive, while Wrecker goes absolutely crazy their new Lizard friend jumps onto his face. Omega has named the creature Ruby, but sadly she won’t be able to keep her as it needs to be delivered to one of Cid’s clients… The Batch are finally learning that to be mercenaries, they have to do the job without asking questions.
In the background of this shot, you can see what looks like a Pantorran Pilot, very similar to the Imperial Pantoran pilot from Star Wars: Squadrons. Obviously, it’s not him and an imperial wouldn’t be hanging out in Cid’s den, but it’s good to see confirmation that some Pantorrans fled the planet after the Empire arrived, rather than cheer them on.
Next to the Pantorran we see a mysterious hooded figure, wearing the same Robe that we saw in the Cliffhanger shot of the last episode. After the figure causes a scene in the back of the Den, he slowly lifts his hood and reveals himself to be the man we’ve all been waiting for, Captain Rex.
As the group sit down at the bar, Rex tells the Bad Batch that he’s been keeping a very low profile and is actually recorded as Killed in Action in the Imperial databases, after the Venator crash on the icy moon.
Rex then explains that he found the Bad Batch with the help of Trace and Raffa Martez, and that they told him that the Batch had a young kid with them. Hunter then explains that the kid is Omega, and she’s a Clone, just like them. Following this, Wrecker enters the room Bombastically, absolutely pumped to see his old Friend Rex, before introducing him to Omega for the first time.
As Omega looks at Rex’s face, she immediately notes that he’s a Generation 1 clone because of the lines on his face, meaning he is among the oldest Clones in the Grand Army of the Republic, and was literally part of the first lines… This matches up with what he already had from Star Wars: Rebels, where we heard that he fought at the first battle of Geonosis. Again, we’re seeing Omega pick up on the smallest details, like the lines on Rex’s face being different because the Cloning process wasn’t as refined back then… Or she’s just making fun of his wrinkles! - Розваги

What if feral won ventresses contest because savage sacrificed himself( also I don’t think the enchantment would work for his character)
What if savage didn’t kill feral and he joined him and maul
What if Jango never died
What if grievous joined maul and savage
What if Shaak Ti believed fives about order 66

If u notice on of the lines wrecker says to rex about the vendor like "First off the line, huh? Just like you, Rex." Them exact lines reminded me of when rex said to domino squad "Your armor it's shiny and new just like you." That's the vibe I got off that

@@StarForceOne I got one more. It could be a several part series. What if Maul and savage killed sidious with both remaining alive, hunted down dooku and ventress and killed them. We could them see mother talzin resurrect feral and the other fallen night brothers. Then grievous being in charge of the cis gets defeated by maul and savage and joins them leaving maul and savage with the combined forces of the seperatists, night brothers, deathwatch, hutt clans, black son,pikes( the pikes would still have their original leader since dooku hasn’t killed him and the leader would still be his majordomo), crimson dawn, and hondos gang. We could also see him recruit bounty hunters like bossk, boba, dengar, bane, Embo, Sugi, latts, Ig88, highsinger, ig 86, ig 11 and others
I know this is a lot but it is just an idea.
I just love that you can still see the clear bond between Rex and Echo. Like how about they talk about Fives, something that the bad batch would have no idea about. I keep forgetting that Rex and Echo has a past thanks to their time in the 501st.

So now I know for certain that the clones are aware of their actions when the chip is activated, but their REAL self is stuck. Desperately trying to fight the chip. It’s kinda like the sunken place from Get Out.

Cal kestis was a part of the scrapper guild of course they are going to be wearing the same thing but hopefully the better question is will we see cal
Makes me wonder how Cal’s design will change in the games sequel since he never replaces his scrapper guild uniform across the game

when wrecker said your in violation of order 66 i was thinking of jesse because he said the same thing to rex
I feel even more sorry for Jesse, since my head canon was right, Jesse was not in control and he was fighting the whole time. Shit think of all the clones that died, think of the nightmare fuel it would have been for a shiny, first day on the job, lose control of your body and then forced to stay on a burning ship and die, all while not even able to scream for help. This is Heavily grim dark stuff right here.
By now it is clear how Omega sees the rest of the Bad Batch. She is certainly becoming close to them, and it is adorable to see the different relationships the crew has with her. From Hunter’s father daughter relationship, to Wrecker’s big brother and little sister bond.
I loved to see the dark side of wrecker go all tactical the way he walks and talks and fights is all awesome
Seeing Wrecker snap and rex going into the mist was awesome! Glad we're going to be getting more empire stuff next episode

Yeah. I think that the writers did a good job making us actually care about Wrecker. In CW Season 7, I didn’t care for Wrecker much. I thought he was just gonna be some cliché, ‘Big Tough Strong Guy,’ but now that I’ve seen his relationship with Omega, it’s makes me care about Wrecker, cause I care about Omega’s reaction

Love this episode. So we get to see Captain Rex after Order 66 and how the Bad Batch finally removed their Inhibitor Chip. I wonder if they'll able to save Crosshair in later episodes.

Gregor is a purpose made generation 1 clone Commando unit, if it were Legends he'd not have the same level of mental controls and conditioning forced upon him. In the novel Dark Lord the commandos of Ion Team all refused to carry out Order 66 and so were executed by Darth Vader.
I'm curious did the Separatists already remove Echo's chip when the experimented on him? It would be funny if the Bad Batch attempted the surgery only to find it was already gone.
Echo's chip was basically fried when he was experimented on by the techno union on skako minor
It was probably one of the best episodes.

My one complaint about this episode was the mention of fives. I love that he mentioned it but we never get to see echos true reaction. :(
My prediction is that Omega has her own kind of control chip. After all she wasn't scanned for it.
only minor gripe is that I wish that Echo asked more about fives and maybe even got a short scene with rex
Yeah seriously especially considering how close they were and all their experiences together. I mean echo and fives were/are the last of their squad. Not to mention they have several battles together and became arc troopers together.

I think that, if Crosshair is called to kill / hunt down cloneforce 99 in the next episode, the bad batch will try to somehow capture him and get his inhebitor chip removed so that he can join them again. (They have the eqipment already, they can stun Crosshair, like Wrecker in this episode.) But I'm not sure, it's just my speculation (But what can happen next, if they do so?)

Wrecker reminded of the Winter Soldier when he was mine controlled. He became such a beast during that time frame.
Rex's appearance alone was what made this episode into my favourite so far.

I think there are three possibilities of who rex contacted:
1: wollfe
2: gregor
3, idk why, but I think fordo, just cuz of the jaig eyes they share.
Or maybe Kal Skirata? He took in clone deserters and allowed them into his Clan.
It can’t be wollfe or Gregor as Rex says he hasn’t removed anyone’s chip before, unless maybe they had theirs removed by someone else or their chips malfunctioned
Hopefully we see him trying to get guys like Cody, Boil, Bly, and maybe even Fox or Monk to remove there chip. Maybe we could also see Kix in stasis
@@thrawnedits5860 Fox? No offense, but did you get your head hit, like Wrecker? Fox was choked by Vader few months after the Empire rose. Both Bly and Cody went to become Instructors on Kamino. No one knows what happened to Boil, so he might show up.

I really hope theirs a season 2, I think their will be. It's unlikely but I would like to see Chopper in The Bad Batch. I think most Crosshair could die at the end of the series

Did anyone else notice that after Wrecker woke up, a comment was made about having 3 more chips to remove, which means that since Omega doesn't have one, Echo must still have his in, even after the experimentation by the Separatists, and if he didn't have any genetic mutations, did the experimentation "deactivate" his chip, since he didn't show any indication of executing order 66?
Rex showed up at the right time for The Bad Batch, especially for Wrecker…twice.

I actually thought he was gonna perform fatalities on both hunter, echo, and tech when he grabbed them but remembered this was a disney show
I’m hoping we see Rex finding wolf and Gregor, at least wolf, and see how he gets the chip out
What if the scrappers are bossk and boba, or cad bane and boba working undercover for the empire, we could maybe even see a 15 year old boba have his stand off with cad bane where Embo, bossk, and highsinger give him a chance to have a stand-off with bane. It could be a cool nod, and character development for boba because we know he doesn’t hurt and protects the innocent and could maybe consider the clones his brothers which he didn’t before.
I think rex should have had more of a part in it.

I feel like the one thing that would had made the episode better is if Omega shot wrecker when he attacked her and then Rex came in to see a crying Omega next to a severely injured Wrecker then the rest of the episode plays out normally.

I think that the contact is Gregor, because commandos didnt execute order 66 and is free from the empire. Rex could have found him while hiding from the empire and looking for other clones and jedi
has anyone noticed a lot of republic commando sound files are being used in the series?
In legends The commandos where the few clones able to disobey order 66, it was said barley few clones in this episode were able to do it, my guess their hinting at commandos being just the few. It be interesting to see them, think if they made delta squad one of them, since they are pretty much same has the bad batch. The two teams, teaming up would be interesting sight to see.

Amazing episode. Brought to a head what we all knew was coming and feared. But fortunately as theorized Rex knew how to get the chips removed.
I read an article online that said that the creators of the bad batch actually cried when they made the ending so I think all of them will die also we do not see them in rebels
In my opinion 9 episodes is PLENTY of time to get everything in. Super happy with 16 episodes, there only so much letter we have seen in the trailers.. excited with what’s to come.

Here me out. In the next episode they manage to subdue Crosshair on Bracca and take his chip out as well (hence why the the flametrooper of the elite squad seemed to be leading). Why else would they choose Bracca to be where the batch reunites?
I can't wait to watch it. Haven't been able to find it anywhere yet.
Everybody hates the Martez sisters, but now we have something to be thankful to them for. Who knows what would have happened had she not informed Rex about those "rogue clones". Wrecker may have ultimately ended up wiping his bad batch compatriots out.

I remember staying awake waiting for this episode to come out. I was not disappointed.
Filoni is tying the plot of each episode with the next quite expertly . In my opinion it's on par with the R.D. Moore writing for DS9 and BSG .....

This was a very scary episode. I knew Wrecker was a threat of being controlled by the chip, but it's still horrible to see. I'm SO glad they got their chips out. Let's hope there are no horrible side effects.

It probably isn't. Fallen Order takes place closer to the events of the Original Trilogy and the way to tell is the fact that most of the Imperial troops in game are stormtroopers (the purge troopers are clones but that's about it) and not clones. I'd say Fallen Order takes place around ~5 years or so before the Original Trilogy.

Yo know in Star Wars Rebel Dave Filoni originally wanted 20 clones in it. Including Rex,Gregor, and Wolf that's still 17 and that 11-12 clones left if you include the bad batch with or without Crosshair. I want to know who else it would have been personally I would love to see Commander Doom, Boil, Kix,Warthog, and Wildfire.
The next episode might show Cal Kestis! I believe the Empire; Crosshair and others, will show up on Bracca and ambush The Bad Batch.

@@eveningswan4491 not necessarily, he might have started right after order 66. Otherwise I see no reason for the writers to have pickee Bracca as a planet especially when they could’ve just gone with a new random graveyard planet.
@Mystico he's there, because the venator of him and he's master were protecting Bracca and were closer to the planet when order 66 was executed.

Rex's slow reveal reminded me of Maul & I was seriously freaked out for a moment. And Wrecker going haywire, that was crazy!
Certainly hope they don't kill off anyone & we make it through to another season. We still don't know why Omega's so special to the Kaminoans but somehow I'm thinking less likely she's force sensitive; something else must be going on...🤔
Ok Omega doesn’t have a chip. But my prediction is she might have something in there that activates just like the Winter Soldier. She needs to hear some words or something.

I don't think it serves any purpose to kill off any of the main cast for the bad batch.. I know sadly over time every character will meet the end. But it's better to not know, just let them fly off into the sunset!!
