The basketball dribbling scene is from a Nike commercial. The kitchen scene with Tim Curry is from the movie What Lies Beneath starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The reason why they keep mentioning Hell House it's because one of the main movies this is parody off of is called The Haunting. A movie starring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Owen Wilson. It was really big around this time.
Also Legend of Hell House. It’s not related to The Haunting, but uses the same naming, from the 80s or late 70s, I didn’t realize until much later when I finally watched it just how much this movie parodies that, which was weird cause it’s not like that was some big popular movie.
They are making fun of - The Exorcist, Hell House, The Haunting, The house on haunting Hill, Poltergeist, Ghost Story, Hannibal, Ghostbusters, Mission Impossible, The Changeling, Save the Last Dance, Amityville Horror, Dude where’s my car?, What Lies Beneath, The Shining, The Entity, Hollow Man, GhostHouse, House 1 and 2, Raging Bull, Charlie’s Angels, Twister and Titanic
6:45 According to the special features on the original DVD, her tongue prosthetic was actually the original prosthetic used on Linda Blair for the Exorcist.
The fact that none of you picked up on the House on Haunted Hill remake, The Haunting remake, 13 Ghosts remake, and Hollow Man references makes me think ya’ll need to react to those, either these two or the Shejects duo. I think you guys would have a fun time with them.
@@Chronal-Rend No, he referenced Legend of Hell House, which oddly enough was the main one I would expect them to not get since it’s an older movie from the 70s and isn’t really a well known movie, so I was actually impressed when he namedropped that a few times, lol
@JeffreyLong He called out the haunting of Hill House (2) immediately after the scene with Tim curry giving out the assignment at the school. Right before you get the shot of hell house in "present day"
In fact, there is continuity. There are deleted scenes of the characters mentioning the events of the first film and Cindy and Brenda still remember Ray being one of the killers and his excuse for being in the new film was because it is the sequel.
I love it since both of them died in the first movie. I’m tryna figure out how he survived a dick in the ear. And I love how Brenda lives or dies depending on the movie. Hell, even Cindy made a comment on that in 3. Also I’m hoping scary movie 6 keeps that kind of continuity. Especially with the Wayans returning. Bring back at least Ray and Shorty, and I’d personally love to see Doofy show back up.
This is hands down my favorite scary movie, and maybe parody movie. Also, bell idea a programmable red button that's makes the sound of someone just shouting "WOOP! WOOP! DING!"😂
I think this one is the worst of the first three. It's so incoherent and random. The entire ending fight part is also so boring and unfunny. It started strong tho. I think it tried to do way too much at once.
Definitely watch Scary Movie 3 and 4. Also, check out the movies A Haunted House(2013), A Haunted House 2(2014), Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood(1996), How High(2001), Norbit(2007), Soul Plane(2004), Malibu’s Most Wanted(2003), Jeepers Creepers(2001), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(2003)(Remake), Jeepers Creepers 2(2003), and White Chicks(2004).
This is a very underrated gem. By far, for me, the best of the saga. Ray's fun time scene with the clown is one of the best in comedy history. A fun fact, is that many people who see The Exorcist for the first time, don't take it seriously because of this movie opening scene.
When she said she loves James Woods, I thought she can’t know. Amber Tamblyn came out and said when she was 16 her and a friend were standing outside a store and James Woods tried to pick her up, he was hitting on her and she told him she was only 16 and he didn’t care and didn’t stop, he was 52 at the time. She said he was gross, that’s not the only story like that out there about him.
Chris Elliott in another great role. He's had so many in movies and TV, like in Something About Mary and Groundhog Day. Fun stuff. Or more recent in Shitt's Creek.
The main spoof is from the 1999 The Haunting. Then- "what lies beneath", "hollow man", 1959/1999 "house on hounted hill", "stigmata", "bloodbath at all house of death", "i dtill know what you did last summer", "the changeling", "poltergeist", "the Amityville horror", "the ledgen of hell house", and "the exorcist ".
With all Scary Movies I seen, this one is my favorite than the rest because it has good humor that surprised me especially two of my favorite scenes like the basketball scene and the dinner scene.
The scene with the butler and shorty, where Shorty gets the top of his head removed is a reference from the movie Hannibal (2001) starring Anthony Hopkins. Julianne Moore, and Gary Oldman
You guys recently watched 300, I hope you consider watching Meet The Spartans if you havent seen it before. Its a parody of 300, probably one of the previous scary movie writers wrote it.
I love these movies. Mostly because they're parodies, but they're also from that era where film makers understood you still had to make an actual movie. The whole exorcist scene is just amazing and right in line with the actual exorcist. You don't pull a "sharknado" to make a parody, you have your actors actually act and deliver lines. Not beating you over the head 50 times with the same joke. Scary movie 3 definitely a worth watch and has some of the ZAZ hotshot/airplane touch to it.
What is up with all the unnecessary censorship? I understand you have to censor certain things but there was a lot of unnecessary censorship. The over censorship ruins the video.
“I think she’s starting to suspect” is from the Michelle Pfeiffer/Harrison Ford ghost movie What Lies Beneath. His mistresses ghost comes back to warn Pfeiffer her husband killed her
Basketball scene = Nike commercial. What was cool about Keenan Ivory Wayans directing parts 1 & 2 is he did updated re-shoots after the movie was basically done to include current events that were still fresh when those films were released, so when you saw them in the theater the joke would be super relevant because it just happened. 😂
The scary movie franchise is a perfect example on how to use Musi references. Even the ones that you don’t know are still funny and the ones you know are done perfectly.

I definitely recommend Dude wheres my car? 😂
Y’all should watch Eight Legged Freaks next
The basketball dribbling scene is from a Nike commercial. The kitchen scene with Tim Curry is from the movie What Lies Beneath starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.
and i love all these references bec i knew them all xDD
I thought it was a reference to Stomp Out Loud. 😅
Every reactor to this movie never realizes it’s the Nike commercial. Finally one who gets it!
Oh man, memory unlocked 😅
Well it was a commercial and a music video by africa bambataa
Finally some real, artistic, classic movies.
😂👏🏻⚡🥃
LOL

a mix between that and House On Haunted Hill
They must not have seen it and they neeeeeed to watch it
"I think I'll be the bigger man and walk away. WALK away." LOL
😂😂😂
Favorite part 😂
Good one, let me give you a hand 👏👏👏
I have to give Marlon Waynes credit as an actor. He's hilarious in the first two movies and he's also got Requiem For A Dream under his belt
Fair, but he was bloody awful in the first DnD movie lol
@@Para2normalyeah, but no one got through that movie unscathed
The Nike commercial bit always fucking gets me😭🤣🤣
It’s so fucking good though! It still holds up!
They are making fun of - The Exorcist, Hell House, The Haunting, The house on haunting Hill, Poltergeist, Ghost Story, Hannibal, Ghostbusters, Mission Impossible, The Changeling, Save the Last Dance, Amityville Horror, Dude where’s my car?, What Lies Beneath, The Shining, The Entity, Hollow Man, GhostHouse, House 1 and 2, Raging Bull, Charlie’s Angels, Twister and Titanic
you missed Rocky... the fight scene with the cat.
*Also missing : "13 Ghosts" ["THIR13EN GHOSTS"](2001)*
46:21 Dirty Harry (1971) starring Clint Eastwood _"Do you feel lucky, punk?"_ 😅😅😅
The "fuck this" by James Woods is one of the best line deliveries ever!
And it was improvised
One of the best? That’s a stretch to say the least

Damn, that's like the whole movie. Kinda makes me not even wanna watch the reaction if they don't get a single one of the references lol

@@Chronal-Rend No, he referenced Legend of Hell House, which oddly enough was the main one I would expect them to not get since it’s an older movie from the 70s and isn’t really a well known movie, so I was actually impressed when he namedropped that a few times, lol
@@AlexDelarge1990 They still get a lot of the stand alone sight gag references and skits, just not many of the actual plot-related ones.
@JeffreyLong He called out the haunting of Hill House (2) immediately after the scene with Tim curry giving out the assignment at the school. Right before you get the shot of hell house in "present day"
Most people never remember that basketball commercial from Nike

Doofy said Don't Bother him, he's cleaning his room!! 😂
Can't wait for 3 and 4... Greetings from Venezuela ❤
I got a dream. What's your dream? To have a dream! 😂😂😂😂😂
3 is my favorite by far.. Charlie Sheen and Leslie Nielsen 👍👍👍
@@Lloyd00"smoke all you want, you gonna get hit by car". Cody was so savage and creepy.

The Charlie's Angels scene is probably my favorite on the franchise XD
Uncle Ray Ray got a game 😂😂😂😂
You know that clown deserved it...
They cast the mother I the beginning PERFECTLY, I literally thought it was Ellen Burstyn!
Tim Curry is SO FUNNY in this one.
Best of the franchise, Chris Elliot is hilarious
This is a very underrated gem. By far, for me, the best of the saga. Ray's fun time scene with the clown is one of the best in comedy history. A fun fact, is that many people who see The Exorcist for the first time, don't take it seriously because of this movie opening scene.
my favorite of the saga too
"You wanna play with Uncle Ray?!!!!!" 🤡😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@28:00 Robert Zemeckis’ What Lies Beneath starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.
I say this to my friends all the time, "I see you eyeing the first piece."
“Uncle ray ray’s got a game” that part always kills me 😂
Hey get your finger out of there 😂
Tickle tickle tickle tickle lmao 🤣
The good Masterson is in this one, Chris.
Yes the real Vitamin C was paid to cuss out sidney.
In retrospect, Tim Curry being in this absolutely amazing!!
When a new one was mentioned to be made I about died. Loooooved this whole series. Wayan brothers killed it 👏🏻
The ghost is in his holy temple song was from poltergeist 2 with the guy Kane 😂😂😂
Perfect choice
3:21 hahahhah, tara w the pee, im sure the vomit scene would be a lot 😂

11:47 But she was on Beverly Hills 90210 with Tori Spelling. She’s a Canadian actress named Kathleen Robertson.
26:52 HAHA Your faces are priceless!
The irony is I had trouble unleashing a demon this morning!
"ringa ding ding touch that thing!" 😂 10/10 bell thing imo

13:06 they added camp crystal lake, elm st, and amityville in the map, you just can barely see it though
Always love all reactions but so happy to see Tara to continue through one of my favourite movie series
Marlon Brando was originally cast as Father McFeely and completed one day of filming before he had to leave the production due to illness.
All this reaction consists of is "whyyyy" and "ahhhh"😂 which is fully understandable cuz this movie is wild
The Wayans brothers, Chris Elliot and David Cross are the freaking MVP’s of this movie!
Try not to think about the kitchen scene during Thanksgiving 😅
5:33 Honestly, it's the smartest thing to do in this situation.
My favorite all time scary movie is “The Thing” by John Carpenter
It's mine too.
Ditto.
Jep👍
The basketball scene was from an old Nike commercial
Your bell should be a hand phone. “Ringing” phone but also as the phone was invented by Alexander Graham “Bell”
Chris Elliot character is the bad guy in Poltergeist 2.
Loosely
Finally, someone who knew who big daddy kane is
20:19 This came out in 2001. Long before High School Musical
The basketball sequence was a set of Nike commercials that Spike Lee made.
27:52 is probably parodying What Lies Beneath, thriller with Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford.
Tara 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I gotta use my strong hand. ✋️
With all Scary Movies I seen, this one is my favorite than the rest because it has good humor that surprised me especially two of my favorite scenes like the basketball scene and the dinner scene.
Brenda has been carrying this franchise since the first one. 🤣🤣🤣 Love her!! 🫶🏽✨
"thanks child, I made it by hand ✋"
Many of the references in this movie came from the movie Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon
What's your FAVORITE Wayans Bros. joint?? ...and who's your Favorite Wayans Brother? lol
Scary movie 2 then the Haunted House movies. All 3 live on as the funniest for me
White chicks for sure. That movie has no right to be as funny as it is. Super rewatchable too and very quotable . Little man is a close second for me
Love both you awesome Cool people. Yall make this channel fun
Haunted house 1&2 and White chicks are amazing,an underrated one is "50 Shades Blacker"
White chicks & Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
1:25 In the words of rock legend Bruce Dickinson:
*I NEED MORE COWBELL*
For Richard Moll (aka Hell House Ghost). This is one of his most memorable roles aside from Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series.
The first second and third, in the order of 2,1,3 are my favorites.
8:40 Save the Last Dance
36:45 Hollow Man
Haha forgot how gross this movie is 🤣🤣…poor John and Tara traumatized haha

Looked up Tori Spelling dancing with the stars...
Holy cow! Wasn't expecting that!
Y'all was quick with getting this one out yess 😅❤

PLEASSSEEEEEE
Now here’s a sequel that mainly spoofs classic horror from the 70s and 80s. Save for a few of the then-modern era like Hollow Man and 13 Ghosts.
Took my cousin to see this when it first came out. We both laughed our butts off 🤣
