Welcome to Altheya: The Dragon Empire, a brand new D&D 5e campaign with new characters and a whole new custom, homebrew World of Stories! In the Village of Burnell, 5 unique characters find themselves in the middle of an investigation and must work together for the first time to solve the mystery!

I have no exposure to High Rollers apart from Mark guesting on Critical Role and the Baldur’s Gate 3 two shot. An hour and half in, I already would die for Rowan

After listening to Lucius for so long, Rowan's voice caught me off guard and hit me like a freight train.
Damn. Chris Trott has some range.
His voice was the highlight of the episode for me.
Ophelia being described as "pointy" by Gruff is both hilarious and so accurate

Also, this video is my first introduction to your channel and I must say... I'm positively enthralled ! The worldbuilding is amazing, the DM is amazing, the roleplaying is amazing... I'm amazed.

ok I can't be the only person that is absolutely loving how polar opposites Katies characters are.
Starting the new campaign so sad Aerois is over and being like "ah well I guess it'll take a while to build an emotional connection with these characters" and about half an hour in Chris Trott has me weeping about fucking pebbles.
I've been following since campaign one but got too busy a few years ago and lost track when I tried to return. High Rollers has a special place in my heart, so I'm hyped to have another campaign to get stuck into.

I love how Marks tone change at the intro instantly captures us and draws us into this world!
I love the idea of dwarfs turning slowly into a metal over time. That's a great piece of world building and way to make dwarves more special. Well done Mark
You all started off strong! It’s only been one episode but I already love all the characters and hyped for what happens next. Can’t wait to see more of this party and what Mark has in store for the rest of the campaign.

I must say, the lore you've made about dwarves, how they are afflicted and will slowly turn into stone/metal as they age is amazing. It is sad, so fitting for the race and I honestly can't stop thinking about it. I will definitly be stealing that for myself, haha.

I wonder if no one ever said anything or if it just never felt necessary. But my god the quality of these episodes would triple if Mark had his own dedicated mic instead of sharing the one picking up the whole room 😔🧡
I tried watching campaign 1 a couple of years ago, but with English not being my first language I had a rough time following everything that was said (bad audio probably didn't help a lot either). Very glad I decided to watch this campaign, I was drawn in from the get go!
The World Building looks unique and excellent,I really dig it as a dragon lover.
Also cant choose a favorite between Xantheus and Ophelia lol
I am stuck between Daisy and Orphelia as who is my favourite female character, my favourite male character is Rowan for sure!
It's shocking how well they get into their characters head!
On my second watch so far.... Been starting Aerois but I'd like to comment on how quality Altheya truly is. Production and chemistry skyrocketed, excited to continue watching this as it comes out.
I love all of the characters soooo much especially Gruff but Rowan stole my heart! Incredible job everyone on all of the work behind the scenes and in front of the camera!
Hey! I watched and loved the first campaign. I lost touch with it all and the second campaign got away from me, amazing to see how this has grown in that time. So happy to be able to get back on board for campaign three!
I stumbled across this after watching some Baldurs Gate 3 content. The intro to this is so well done and really paints a beautiful picture of the world they are in. Superb story telling and the background music just ties it altogether.
High rollers was my first introduction to DnD, way back at the season 1 premiere. Just DM'd my first ever session for 3 friends who have also never played before - thanks and good luck for the new campaign!

This looks like so much fun to do and be a part of a campaign with a nice group of people in general. Sorry im completly new to D&D personally just recently stumbled on it because of bg3 really.
I came here from the BG3 Cast Plays DnD-- I flew through all the currently available episodes of this campaign in like a week and I'm back to watch them again from the beginning while I wait for the next one lol
Cannot overstate how much this campaign premiere has been saving my mental and giving me something to look forward to. Such a wonderful job by everyone involved, both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes!

I just went on Twitch to look for this episode because during the pandemic, I started downloading the episodes off Twitch instead of from UA-cam because they started cutting the in-between break shinanagans and donos so I could continue to listen to them at work offline. Now the Twitch channel needs you to be subbed to view it there so I did that but I can't download uncut episode anymore T---T I hope the High Rollers Crew doesn't cut the donations and funny stuff away again. I can't wait to see where this series goes and explore the world and your characters alongside you guys!!! So glad you guys are back, I missed you!!! :)

I was so...familiar with the Stormchasers, i knew them so well, that they felt like real people I've met. Say goodbye was not easy.
That being said, i fell in love with this new batch of weirdos almost immediately. The inner-party dynamics are fantastic! Especially the dynamic duos of Gruff and Xantheus on one side and Rowan with Daisy on the other. And Ophelia in the middle, tall dark and mysterious.
I didn’t even make it through the opening credits without crying. So happy you are all back. I wish I could join live every week but being Australian means I've only ever been able to do that a handful of times, so I'm just grateful to be able to join you all here on UA-cam ❤ I love all the characters so much already and I can't wait to see how they all develop.

The Aerois campaign was literally what got me into D&D two years ago, and being here from the beginning for this new campaign is so incredible and exciting! I'm absolutely OBSESSED with Ophelia, she's everything I love and I'm so damn hyped!

My guesses? Gruffudd is Druid or paladin. Ophelia is a cleric or blood hunter (vampire too), Xantheus is warlock or fighter or rogue. Daisy is either rogue or warlock or a hybrid of both (known powerful combo iirc). Rowan is 100% a cool custom bard (fav character so far!). What do you guys think?
I pretty much agree, but I think creation bard would also work really well for Rowan. I also could see paladin or sorcerer for Xantheus, we know at the least he has good charisma.

Back in high school and middle school, I watched campaign 1 and it got me into DND because I love yogscast I missed campaign 2 because I joined a dnd group the dm was toxic but i found the right group weve been playing together for 2 year but i want to thank you for one of my favorite hobbies.

My theory: Ophelia is a artificer and percival is her battlesmith robot companion reskinned as an undead servant.
Counteroffer: she's an armorer artificer (infiltrator model armor explains her unexpectedly nimble and quiet movements in armor) and Perceval is a homunculus servant reskinned as an undead servant.
Ophelia is actually a fake person that's being controlled by Percival. Right?

I've been planning to have a society that sounds like Ophelia's, after people die their spirits move on but their bodies are used as workers and soldiers so everyone can live easy lives. To be Risen is a privilege and honour. I'm not really making it gothic though I want it to seem vibrant and happy, the main holiday is based on day of the dead in Mexico. A big celebration of those who have come before and the work they have done after death. Anyone who does necromancy without consent or uses it for evil is an affront to their society.

I just noticed that Trott and Tom called each other's characters 'Shiny' respectively in the 1st episode of campaigns.
Quill called Lucius, the "shiny colorful one" and Rowan called Xantheus a "shiny one"
XD I just thought it was funny
As of writing this I'm about 30 seconds into Rowan and Daisy meeting and they are delightfully precious and I love them.
So excited for this campaign! Loving the character intros, been so hyped for Ep1 :D can't wait to see where the story takes them all!
