Frieza, obviously he's Chaotic Evil in action, Lawful Evil in personality, and Neutral Evil in attitude. So basically he's all evil, doing this for himself and destroying anyone who gets in his way. All hail Lord Frieza!

That bit at the beginning. "Lord" Frieza has a point there. On a nation scale, you're either lawful evil, or a puppet state.
Not lawful evil necessarily, there are arguments to be made for neutral evil and chaotic evil depending on the nation. For example, without naming any names, are you lawful if your laws only apply to those lesser, or you start wars with small country because their land and/or resources are appealing and you have an older sibling complex, or refuse to bother with diplomacy because "you're a big boy, and you have nukes!" (Though, the one of the specific ones I was thinking for the latter probably falls under "puppet state.")

If everything you say and do is law since you are lord then you are lawful evil, there is no overarching government above frieza which he defies unless we add in super but even then he still follows the gods orders.@@LudacritzTTV

Lord Frieza calling Pathfinder 1e outdated is his most evil action in the video. Neutral Evil.
I love that they made Frieza grow as a person without becoming less of a monster. He became smarter, more pragmatic and less driven by ego. The current Frieza would have taken Goku's energy energy back on Namek instead of throwing a tantrum, it's like dying humbled him, made the emperor realize that he's not invincible and there's value to training.
And that's one of the themes of Dragon Ball, always working hard and not getting comfortable because there will always be someone stronger. Frieza pretty much weaponized the heroes' MO, that's so cool
I've enjoyed the DBZA recently and I got to say... LittleKuriboh NAILS the voice of Freeza so well.
I just want to wish him well since he is going through some harsh stuff for the past week. You have my condolences and I hope things will be a little brighter for him next year.

Fun fact: Martin auditioned to be Captain Ginyu for DBZ:A I know its been years, but I think this guest appearance speaks for how that went and why.
His Captain Ginyu audition was a stealth audition for 'Freeza'.

Personally, I'd argue that most of the villains in Dragonball are very good. I for one would have loved it if they had brought back Cell for the Tournament of Power either in place of or alongside Frieza (possibly with Whis or Beerus promising to step in if the two villains together started to get out of hand). Cell was perhaps just as complex as Frieza himself, and to me that also made Cell a great villain. Buu was, in a sense, the Dragonball equivalent of an "eldritch abomination" that was nearly impossible to actually *keep* down no matter how hard or how much you hit him.
But in the end, it was still Frieza who set the bar for all later villains. If a villain failed to at least match (if not exceed) Frieza in some way, then they fell flat or failed to be a very interesting villain.

The information we are shown throughout his tenure in the show is he is obviously a being who has honed his powers to a razor's edge. Aka, he trained a FUCKLOAD to get his powers under control. So this golden or black or whaever frieza shit is just... bad writing man.
@@gamester512 cell would have been a better choice cause he's naturally stronger than frieza and you can actually make an excuse of him not having proper trained in his life. he relied on borrow skills, not his own. Could also have it that his perspective starts to shift. He was evil cause he was crudely programmed to becoming stronger and kill goku. What happens when you get a guy like that t osave the universe and fight alongside peeps?
Let's not forget he has the dna of most of the hero characters, including 2 who turned good. could make som justification that these behaviors shifted his perspective more towards the mindset of those individuals.
Frieza on the other hand is simple a psychopath.
@@taddad2641 so, Couple thing. One, the first bit is just, wrong? Frieza was born with his powers and never trained in his life, it's why the golden and later black forms exist, not saying the latter is good, it comes completely out of nowhere and makes no sense but regardless. Two, Cell had his time and shouldn't come back because he's just not that interesting, Frieza has the personality and background to make sense to return, cell just doesn't. At least to me. Really it all comes down to Preference and personal opinion so you're allowed to want Cell or disagree with Frieza's writing but it's still something I see as done well, in a show with not a lot of well done moments

That might even be a way to set up even more "What D&D Alignment is....?" videos, where he actually goes over those What-if? versions of the characters (might even make for some humor if he did one for Masako's "What if Frieza turned Good?" and had Little Kuriboh act as this same Frieza again....the same could perhaps even work for a "What if Cooler turned Good?" alignment video as well). :)

Calling it now, he starts Lawful Evil but ends Neutral Evil slightly aligned to True Neutral. While Freeza is LE at its finest, his time in HFIL(and eventually that paradisial Hell) made him reflect on his flaws and limitations, and its working on some of them(he is still a petty bitch though).
Well, you're partially correct. He started out Lawful Evil, but ended on Chaotic Evil, leaning towards Neutral.

Huh kinda surprised you didn't ding the moment where frieza explains what repugnant means to goku it really shows how much he's changed after his resurrection, before he definitely would have made fun of him and called him stupid but he actually explained what it meant. He definitely respects his enemy's a little more now and doesn't underestimate them as much as he did before
Honestly, I would love it if LittleKuriboh became the official voice actor for Frieza in the Super Dub when the show comes back.

This was my favorite alignment analysis video so far. Lord Frieza is genuinely a really cool character and a truly threatening villain.
I would argue the destruction of Planet Vegeta is still firmly lawful evil. He specifically asked Beerus for permission to blow it to hell. And he got it. He followed the cosmic order of things before doing what he wanted to benefit himself.
Really enjoyed the final character analysis of Lord Frieza. He is a very good example of the value of letting villains get character development.

Lord Freeza's alignment is undoubtly evil. The only thing at contest here is whether he is lawful, neutral or chaotic.
Praise Lord Frieza! This video was a awesome analyst of the villain. It gives good writing tips to people are familiar with Dragon Ball about making a villain like Frieza who is likable by being the worse (as a person).

I love the little detail in Resurrection F that Frieza has NEVER had to train in his lifetime, this makes him more terrifying as this means the power level he had on Namek is just his natural strength he was BORN with. And so his Golden form coming about simply because he decided to train makes it terrifying that if he had trained before Namek for even a year, he'd have had enough power to crush Goku. And now in the Manga we see his has further limits with his Black Frieza form.

My two favorite Frieza voices are Chris Ayres and LittleKuriboh. I think it would be beneficial if Funimation hired Martin to be the official frieza.

Martin as Freeza will always give me life. Honestly, he's the best Freeza VA I've ever heard. Even better than the late Chris Ayers, whom I regard as one of the finest VA the English speaking world have ever seen. The best way to find out who I regard as the best VA for a character is to ask me whose voice I imagined when I read a manga or light novel. For Freeza, it's Martin.

Frieza would be a purely bottom of Neutral Evil territory as he has an equal lawful and chaotic qualities. And his willing to commit genocide, willing to cause more than a million of deaths and almost lack of heroic quality make him lies at the bottom.

I think he’s neutral evil. If he was chaotic evil he would not have self preservation and if he was lawful evil would be more inclined to keep his word.

I'd like to say one thing about Goku going to get Frieza to join the team for the ToP. Goku agreed to use the Earth's dragon balls to rez Frieza, knowing fully well that they would be unable to do the job. Goku fully intended to double cross Frieza and let him go back to hell, though the plan was kinda ruined by Whis. Frieza definitely rubbed off on Goku a little there. That is one of my favorite scenes in Super.

Honestly I'd kill to see you guys challenge yourselves with one of these by tackling a character that's actually less complex under the hood. Like an alignment video on Janemba! Could be fun to see how you tackle a more savage and/or primal characters actions in both how to DNDify them in the top corner and how their lack of sapience if not sentience affects the intent of their actions and where they go.
Last year on Frieda day, Lord Frieza destroyed my planet and then posted about it on spacebook.
I saw this and was like freeza alignment chart. Then I realized today is freeza day.
They mention Little Kuriboh's main abridged series, meanwhile I'm honestly wishing he'd pick up Ninjabridge again once in a while, even if just as a way to take a needed break from YuGiOh. With all that he's learned about editing and voice acting and storytelling, I'm sure he could bring it up to just about the same quality as his YuGiOh abridged series.
That aside, I loved this video, and Frieza fell...pretty much right where I thought he would, honestly. I'm just super happy they got *this* Frieza to help. I'm sure they could have gotten Malzar's Frieza if they wanted, and I enjoy that interpretation, but Kuriboh's version just hits me with so much nobility and menace at the same time that I can't help but love it more!
I kinda like how Frieza is settling into a more Sentai villain approach. Reoccurring messes with the heroes and either loses or in the case of Obsidian Frieza (I refuse to call him Frieza black lol) he full on has a green ranger first appearance moment
