"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE, WHY DO YOU KEEP BOMBARDING MY CASTLE?!" has been a pretty funny running joke throughout these.
Trust me as a novel reader, it will still be till the end
**manages to move castle to a pocket dimension**
**Megumin somehow still blows it up**
"WHY WON'T YOU ASSHOLES LEAVE MY CASTLE ALONE?!?!?!?!"
:P
Kazuma died trying to save, unnecessarily, an innocent, that he believed mistakenly, in mortal danger. He always had the heart of a hero. If only by mistake.
Started as a mistake in real life, in the other world it became a moral code
Me: “ He always had a heart of a hero. He just needed three girls to rip out his heart from the flesh of laziness, Shut-in pervertedness to reveal the kind, cunning, and brave hero he is…” [Holding still Beating and bloody heart]
Kazuma: [on the floor] “ M-My…” [Dies]
Yuskai (yuyuhakashow) would approve
@@liarliarplants4hirenah ma infact the 3 girls is the sorce of the problem why kazuma heroness dosent ever shows up because he is tierd of keeping the 3 girls in check😂
Kazuma is the living incarnation of a vibe. Man is just playing a D&D campaign like he knows he's a PC and is just having a blast.
Kazuma is probably the most *REALISTIC* portrayal of what would happen if an average anime and videogame loving, anti-social shut-in, was giving a chance to be a hero and that's why he's one of my favorite characters. He's not unboundlessly optimistic, no where near charismatic, far from overpowered in any way, he's not completely evil and sadistic, doesn't have a boring one-note personality and he has some morals and standards. He's a pretty normal kid and that's what makes him great.
Which is why Kazuma is one of the more popular isekai protagonists, because he is a regular dude. Compared to say Ainz, who has to fake til he makes it as an evil overlord (and yes his alignment does shift if one pays attention), Tanya, the definition of Lawful Evil, and his contemporary Subaru, who has arguably the exact opposite situation.
@@thomasallen9974 Yeah, Kazuma is better written than most Isekai protagonists. He doesn't win fights because the plot demands it, he wins because he's smart about it and he doesn't win every fight. He's intelligent, but not "invent gunpower in a fantasy world" intelligent. He has powers, but he doesn't get handed them on a silver platter and none of them are Story Breakers.
Just a little nit pick here - he's a-social, not anti-social. Anti-social is something very diferent, which Kazuma definitely isn't.
@@frankg2790 if gunpowder is made in fantasy settings, would that mean that the fantasy world will have a "God created Man, Sam Colt made them equal" sort of deal with firearms? I am not saying that guns are insta win, but given that our history went from slings, to bows, longbows, crosbows, arqubuss and slowly into flintlock, revolver, gatling, semi auto and full auto firearms, how would that work in fantasy settings?
what I mean by this is, if a mage with aoe attacks like fireball or meteor strike is basically a one man artillery would that fantasy world still have siege weapons like trebuchets and catapults? if yes, then gunpowder weapons would also have a place, but flintlock tier tech, maybe with trapdoor conversions for cartridges and first revolvers and lever guns tier tech.
@@drivanradosivic1357 Guns have been around since ancient China but they didn't dominate warfare until just 400 years ago. Gunpowder isn't enough to dominate warfare, you need to make at least semi-accurate, somewhat reliable, and most importantly, reloadable firearms for that.
In a fantasy setting where throwing around fireballs and creating tall earth walls are common feats, even a regular modern day firearm isn't that impressive. It would be useful for non-mages, all but replacing swords and bows, and as a secondary option when the mages run out of mana, but that's about it. Magic > Guns almost every time.
"The gang are finally homeowners. Truly a fantasy."
Felt that >.
Kazuma is a man of extremes. His lows are low, but his highs are high and that does a decent job balancing him out.
And here we are, Kazuma, definitely the best isekai protagonist ever! Konosuba is such a legendary anime, thanks in no small part to Kazuma being Kazuma. Kazuma embodies the average DnD player and their adventure. So basically Konosuba is DnD the anime. Also Kazuma and Megumin are just too cute together. Best isekai anime ever!
I think you mean to say Rudeus.
Heresy! *draws sword* For Long Ainz and Nazarick!
@Lobomaru02 *Laughs in Explosion magic, among all the other Crimson Demon magic that has shown to utterly mop the floor with the ultimate enemy of the anime*
Darkness is best girl 😏
@@inductivegrunt94 considering Megumin needs to use that long incantation every time, Ainz can just use Grasp Heart
6:30. I'd argue this is at worst, neutral evil, if not lawful evil. Misturugi is very clearly the antagonist of this interaction, being the one to initiate the duel despite being very clearly way above Sazuma's level, basically being a horrible bully. Kazuma accepts the duel, and simply initiates the fight quicker due to the rules of the duel not being clearly communicated beforehand. His two girl allies try to interfere with the result, and Kazuma scares them off without resorting to violence. He then sells his rightful property obtained from winning the duel through a legal transaction.
I don't think I'd go so far as to say lawful neutral, since Kazuma was definitely being underhanded and selfish here, but he still proceeded with these events relatively following a set of rules and guidelines. He knew his enemy was going to be underhanded and that he'd need to use every advantage he could to win the duel or even escape the situation with his life.
i'd actually go with chaotic neutral for the act overall. They agreed to the duel, Kazuma won by acting fast and using guile, then when the guy's friends tried to obstruct he used intimidation to ward them off. Classic rogue behavior.
@@deadseven3474 That's my take as well, which I also just posted here
I kinda wonder how how one might ding his second duel with Mitsurugi (one of the things I really want a season 3 to see happen on screen). Because after reading the novel where that one takes place... I mean I get why he did it. He was on a mission and had no time to spare. But still, that was one BRUTAL takedown.
@@deadseven3474 its not neutral, its allways evil and here is why
Kazuma knows it that dude is just an another teenager that trying to live up to a fantasy, just like what he wanted. He knows who he is to a degree and his intention are. He still bullies him and takes away his gift from him for small monetory gain.
If it was random hero native to these lands sure, kazuma will not have any understanding... he will be just fighting a bully.
@@makaramuss mitsurugi still challenged kazuma just because what Kazuma did was a little unorthodox doesn’t mean it’s evil since if mitsurugi didn’t challenge kazuma then none of this would happen so how kazuma really wasn’t be evil here it was basically a neutral encounter
I like the idea that Kazuma got the long straw compared to Subaru who get the short one.
I dont know anyone who thinks Subaru got anything but the shortest straw possible
@@thomasallen9974 I dont even call it a straw, he got the tiniest bit of it hammered under his fingernails. That boy needs a hug and therapy on multiple levels
That's why that bit of comedy and lack of self awareness in Isekai Quartet where Kazuma curses Subaru for being such an "anime harem protagonist" and that he is "super lucky" is my favorite.
Nope Subaru got the biggest straw possible he's just stupid
Subaru's straw is so short it becomes a splinter that's impossible to remove and gives his finger an infection
So the one point I wanted to actually argue with you with on this one, Stuart, is when Kazuma meets the other isekai'd guy. Kazuma is just essentially defending himself as Mitsurugi was being belligerant about Aqua being in the cage since *he* actually respected her. The Steal being just part of Kazuma's kit and randomly stealing the sword was just Kazuma's luck at play. Between threatening Mitsurugi's party members and selling the sword afterwards, I'd say that's actually Chaotic Nuetral, not Chaotic Evil
Besides my usual hiei ask, I also think rimuru would also be a good idea because of all of the things that he does and why I think it’s a interesting character to analyze
I would argue saving Wiz, even with selfish motivation, is still a lawful good action because she's already his friend and chooses to do no harm to anyone despite being undead.
Wiz herself is Lawful good. The only reason she is a Lich and a general is to save the rest of her party. Her deal with the demon lord actually lets her drop the shield if she is the only one left supporting it
Please, please, please cover all the main protags (and perhaps the other 3 heroes?) from Shield Hero! I'd love to see where the main gang (and potentially the other 3 heroes) fall on the alignment chart!!!! I know we get limited details on the other 3 parties of the other 3 heroes, I'd still love to see what you might be able to extrapolate from the show, though I understand if it's just the main gang!
If he does shield hero I hope he waits till season 3 airs as there are a lot of things that happen.
@@masonwilliams1345 If I recall correctly, Shield Hero was supposed to be covered during this December marathon. Since it hasn't happened yet, I'm assuming it will happen in at least the near future. Komi was delayed last December, so it's probably a similar situation here.
I would put Naofumi firmly in Neutral, leaning toward Neutral Good. Especially in the first season. He doesn’t give one hot shit about Melromarc, and only does anything for the sake of his allies Filo and Raphtalia. But his more level-headed and considered actions end up with him doing more good for the world than the Three Cardinal Stooges, who are acting like they’re in a JRPG and wrecking the place in the process.
Easy, chaotic stupid all 3 of em.
Kazuma is not the hero that world deserves but is the one it needs.
You should do Agent Six from Combatants Will be Dispatched. To compare two Protagonist from the same author. There's even a fan theory that Six is Kazuma if he hadn't got Isekaid.
Oh boy, Six is DEFINITELY going to be lawful evil to chaotic neutral, with a sprinkle of neutral evil. The dude's a nutcase and I love him for it 😂
Last but not least, Kazuma Satou.
The tactician hero with supposedly godly luck that always get into trouble.
The parody hero we all needed.
The Isekai character I most want to see you explore is Tanya Degurechaff from Tanya the Evil.
I suspect she is a lot less evil than the series title suggests.
Tanya von Degurechaff is one the best isekai protagonist of all time
@@joshuagibson6531 yah
Kazuma is... Chaotic Good... while he DOES have some notable evil desires... he normally does what is moral and explicitly not lawful.
Cage is Lawful Neutral... revenge is the real motivation for putting her in the cage that they know she's going to suffer for, but then they feel bad and make aments (or attempts to) afterward... balancing out towards LN...
This series is just the best comedy to come out in a while. The characters are extremely well written assholes but despite they're being assholes, they are still trying to be heroic, most of the time. And they might insult each other, but they still take care of each other.
The Holy Sword thing was not chaotic evil.
It was neutral.
Kazuma sold off a reward he got from a bet from a conflict he was forced into.
And prevented more conflict with a non-violent threat.
"Sense Trap - 1" LMAO
16:36 Lawful Good, or Neutral Good for Kazuma giving megumi's parents lots of food.
If Kazuma wasn’t anything but Chaotic anything I’d start questioning you.
I really enjoy Kazuma's character and his portryal. It's just so well done and funny.
In a lot of ways, kazuma is a lot of 16-22 year old dudes ever. Lots of em have sketchy thoughts and actions because we're dumb ass hell but underneath it all most of them are good guys just being dumb.
Have you already done Ainz on this channel? Because let's face it, he would be PERFECT for this. Ainz isn't really a bad guy deep down, but has to put on the charade of basically being a Demon Lord due to his underlings being smarter than him.
I second this
Dude is Chaotic Evil, because he does a lot a really unnecessarily terrible things in the course of the story, basically acting exactly like a JRPG Demon Lord would. Although there seems to be an undercurrent that he’s being forced to act this way by the system, the same way the Nazarick NPCs are.
I read the novel and he is definitely evil, everything he does it's for both self benefit and Nazarick not caring much for how it affect others.
By the way he is one my favorite protagonist in general and seeing the way he thinks makes reading the novels worth even if you already saw the anime.
Yeah, his "deep down" doesn't last long into, I dunno, the second season? He clearly has principles, but he absolutely values human life as close to zero as you can get, unless he benefits or there's some very specific trait that impresses him. He's totally for killing off entire civilizations to get his way, from adding to his undead legion or to prove a POINT.
I'd say since you did Konosuba the rest of the peeps from iskai quartet should be covered too
Really feel like some of them Chaotic dings should have been multiple dings.
Like the duel and the panty stealing threat should have been scored separately
Just because of that truck bit I'm subbing. The last time I laughed at someone telling me to subscribe was Technoblade.
I yearn for true gender equality. I have no patience for one who talks about female privilege when it suits them and then complains about someone "not being a man" when it's convenient!
Could you cover Ascendance of A Bookworm? I think that isekai could give you some great material.
Konosuba was one of my favorite isekai in a sea of them (til slime came along, that ones my #1 now) ...i gotta go catch up on all the post-season 2 sauna stuff
run your truck got me good😂
What alignment is Dr. Tommy Oliver? RIP JDF
Ains Ooal Gown from Overlord would be interesting to keep the Isekia theme. Cant believe the next Alignment video is Dodoria! Such a gorgeous lady!
This show is great. Kazuma is one of the characters that just gets me laughing XD
I hope you could do shield hero protagonists. It’s an amazing anime/novel. The moralities are so complex, especially with Naofumi.
With one anime quartet door closes, another one opens. Can't wait till you tackle the other members of the "Isekai Quartet" = Natsuki Subaru, Ainz Ooal Gown & Tanya Degurechaff.
Not an isekai but konosuba is one of 2 animes that take up my number 1 spot the other is Gurren Lagann I would love to watch a DandD alignment for Simon kamina and the rest of team Dai Gurren
Kazuma is a true hero and I will not tolerate this slander.
WOuld be nice to see the protagonist from Isekai Quartet, two seasons + movie.
Is the movie out yet? Thought it was just the 2 seasons that were available.
@@atoth62 Came out yesterday
@@HyenaPlayGames Oh nice. Saw it was Crunchyroll and I watched it.
The saga is finally complete. My pillow and I may finally rest. Would love to see more like this. Ray and Zack from angels of death would also be fun. Until then, farewell.
Kazuma is the only member of his party that doesn't have stupid as part of his alignment. Also, he'd likely have a good alignment if he was teamed up with people who weren't weird idiots or if he was more powerful.
THE REFRENCE TO TRUCK CHAN MAN YOU EARNED A SUB
Poor Kazuma...I feel for you.
Now we need the opposite, the super serious villain protagonist of Overlord ; Ainz Ool Gown. Plz give us some Bone Daddy love Stuart.
Thank you for giving us all something to look forward to every day this month. See you on Frieza Day everybody!
Love to see you Cover AINZ OLE GOWN aka Mamonga From Overlord
You should do Wiz and yunyun too
Don't know if there would be enough material for either of the two, though I'd love to see a video for them.
This is one of my favorite anime. Kazuma is just a believable character to me
I would love to see the loading crew cover Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord
Overlord and Konosuba are the only Isekais I enjoy, and it’s been great watching you rate the Konosuba gang the same as I do. Can’t wait for Season 3 and the return of the worst D&D party.
Do Jotaro next, as he is the JoJo character with the most development and screen time
Okay, I got another "What alignment is" for you.
Johnny 5 (Short Circuit, Short Circuit 2)
Robo-dude literally has a Paladin moment near the end of 2 where if you follow where he's looking, you can see him decide that catching the criminal is more important than his own life. (Also oath of vengeance)
hes justa regular teenager that just happens to constantly NAT 1 on situations only to nat 20 the save later on. Also, Konosuba is what every D&D party aspires to be; a colossal group of screwups somehow managing to save the world.
10:04 He probably should have disclosed that he WAS hiring a Succubus though...
6:21 This feels Chaotic Neutral.
Honestly one could argue lawful neutral for using the succubi dream shop. It leads to him leaving his party alone because he wants his dream.
Love Konosuba. Loved all four of these videos. Sad I won't be able to watch season 3 bc of crunchryoll paywalling all new anime.
Re:Zero, primarily of course Subaru Natsuki. The man has to deal with so much bs including the literal deathly results of his own actions.
Hello loading crew, I seriously doubt you will see my comment but if you do, can you please cover arc lalatoya sometime from skeleton knight in another world, it’s my favorite isekai of all time
Kazuma is chaotic good with neutral tendencies, sounds about right
Requesting Glados, Wheatley and Cave Johnson from Portal.
On the topic of Isekais, I'd like to request Shiroe, Naotsugu and Akatsuki from Log Horizon.
"Sense Trap - 1"
lol omg
Tanya de evil would be cool
Lets see how lawful evil she really is 👀
A overlord alignment would be awesome and refreshing because of its main character being far more morally grey than other isekai protagonists.
the real question is... would he do the alignment for our protag as a person playing the part of his character? or as the character themselves?
because the character themselves is Lawful Evil without question... but there is a person behind him that arguably isn't
How is he arguably not evil? He is knowingly doing all kinds of very evil stuff. That makes him evil.
Yeah, it's not gray at all, Ainz is Lawful Evil and he knows he is, says he is and is committed to that goal. He does try to be kind and nonconfrontational if possible, but he doesn't hesitate to kill when he's decided that's the best action to take.
@@sparxskywriter2589 as I put above, the dude is a person playing as a character ultimately... if you think of Ainz as the person playing the character, you get a different alignment... but the character being played as is Lawful Evil without question... and to further this point, there's actually an alignment system in the game he's playing, and it places his character as Lawful Evil
If the character he's playing is killing actual people, and orders the destabilisation of actual countries for his own selfish goals, then it doesn't matter how much he is acting.
The end result is evil. The statement "Yeah, I was only pretending to be an evil asshole when I kicked the puppy for no reason what so ever" only has 10 relevant words "I kicked the puppy for no reason what so ever."
The acting has no bearing on it because in the end an action was performed, and for the action I will judge.
Intent only matters when the consequence is trivial.
If you're looking for a short isekai series, why not hit up another of the isekai quartet and look at Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil?
I’m hoping you continue the chart for guts
3:33 Ah, I see you're a Man of Culture.
The way I see his actions and his more pervy behaviors is that no matter what he says or does, people will still see him as a pervert, so he leans into it and uses it as a means to a beneficial end. He got a bad reputation, knew there was nothing he could do to change it, then leaned into it because it was the only way to get results.
Rudeus Greyrat would be an interesting analysis.
I know you used it as an example of Isekai that give the protagonist crazy powers, but Re:Zero is actually a pretty interesting take on the Genre and I'd love to see Subaru's alignment as it shifts. Especially considering certain events that happen that cause him to completely shift his worldview.
Ngl I would be just like this man in his situation
comments for interaction
reply for additional interaction
i think you skip some important stuff chief.
-at least around the 4:30 mark you forgot to mention that he blackmailed the thief out of all her money so she gets her pants back or else he would keep them as "Family Heirloom" ,which she brought up and while Kazuma was flustered he also said "you are not wrong" admitting he did it. clearly an evil act.
(note: i am going from the Sub version, so maybe the dub changed some details ,dont know)
-7:00 at the Snow sprite Quest, Kazuma planed on kill-stealing Aquas Snow-sprites should his kill count come up to low: Not strongly evil but at least Chaotic Neutral.
-11:43 after Kazuma learns Aqua is an undead magnet, he immediatly abandons her in the dungeon so she has to fend(flee) for herself, which traumatized her: clearly evil.
Also i would like to see what you consider "neutral good" since you put every good action of kazuma in the "lawful good" category which would argueable would often fall into the "neutral good" category. Looking objectivly , Kazuma is Chaotic Neutral, and it fits his character. that doesnt make him unlikeable, he is in fact a favorit of mine, but you cant ignore his bad actions.
I think a re:zero alignment vid would be cool, I don’t know how that would work for any character other than subaru because of the actions getting reset but yeah it would be cool
I’d really like to see how the main cast of Re:zero will land
Kazuma could have easily requested the most perverse things to be done with that choker on yet he withheld himself from doing so either cause he thought it would be wrong on his friends or it wouldn't satisfy him
And despite doing scummy things and being a bit lecherous he's a truly good person at heart and a man of true gender equality
Ya know, they do explain why kazuam's steal does what it does to a few girls in the light novels. Also when he uses Steal on Aqua, he has never taken her, well, you know. Take that information as you will.
Also a very fun fact, the whole "kazmia talking during other characters talking" with the "hmhm, yep, I'm kazuma" sorta stuff is anime exclusive. They thought it was funny the VA did that and went with it.
What about characters from Re: Zero?
Alright! So I want to suggest 2 characters from Isekai's
Shiroe: Log Horizon
Naofumi: Rising of the Shield Hero
Shiroe, Akatsugi and Naotsugu from Log Horizon would be good, since they're the main trio.
How about a video about Shiroe form Log Horizon?
Shiroe, Akatsuki and Naotsugu would be good.
Need a secret alignment for Chaotic Stupid
*points fingers*
Can we get a Wiz breakdown, please? Or is she just going to forever be the undercover Best Girl that gets no love?
Subaru from Re Zero
Has he done Rudeus Greyrat?
How about Anos from The Misfit of Demon King Academy?
Before watching anything:
Chaotic Neutral
Maybe even Neutral Neutral.
only point I disagree with... when he steals his first pair of pantsu, he swings it around like a maniac when he realizes what he got, and he says he'll only give it back if she gives him her valuables... even if that part of it is off screen... that's Chaotic Evil right there... second time when he takes a pair... that's Chaotic Neutral as he didn't realize yet that his stupid luck stat made it so that's what he was going to consistently steal pantsu... every time he would use it from then on would be labeled with him knowing full well what he's most likely to steal though and needs to be labeled as such
He doesn’t always steal pantsu.
He has 2 ways to use it: generic, and targeted.
Generic just steals something at random that the other person cares about (first and second time).
Targeted let’s him choose what to steal (gram the sword, and the other pantsu times)
It might be to break out the tarot deck from the 90s and Look at Vaugn and Hitomi from Vision of Escaflone. Yes, it's an older Isekai, but it checks out.
.hack. Remember that?
Kazuma is a good-hearted dickhead. A person with very human flaws doing his best regardless.
I’d argue the duel against the other isekai dude is Lawful Neutral at worst. He won the duel, he didn’t cheat, and selling prizes is perfectly legal. So 1 LN for that, and 1 CE for threatening to steal panties.
Kazuma is refreshing vs the other Isakia
3:45 MEGUMIN GA SHINDA!
I don’t think you guys have covered a character from the Transformers Franchise, so how about Starscream from the Transformers Armada show? Somehow it’s still considered one of the all time peaks of transformer’s writing despite coming from a very mid show.
Try to do My Next Life has a Villaness. All Routes Leads to Doom
Please do Rudeus from Mushuko Tensie: Jobless Reincarnation
You should do Rudeus from Jobless Reincarnation. Considering how controversial people find it, might be interesting.
It wasn't a failed attempt he was pissed at Silvia because she interrupted tail he was definitely about to get
The guy steals panties from girls WHILE THEY ARE WEARING THEM, and then proceeds to run around waving them in the air. He is clealy chaotic evil.
"he's literally me"
- me
why 720p?
