I’ve been using PF gear since the original bottle and cup came out. I now own several pieces of PF gear. It’s never let me down. I recommend it to everyone.
I’ve been following your channel for awhile and remember you talking about producing the canteen cup several videos ago! You mentioned having 2 cup nesting together in the same bag. I’ve been looking forward to it for awhile, also, looking forward to the forest tool. Absolutely love all of self reliance outfitters gear!! Thank you so much brother Dave Canterbury!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️👊🏿
Excited to add this to my pathfinder collection! I don’t understand not selling the cup separately though. You sell other cups and lids separately. Nevertheless, I’m more than always satisfied with pathfinder products!
I have the original & and it's still going strong here in Australia. I have the PFM40 SWEDISH MESS KIT too & use it for motorcycle touring. Great quality gear at an affordable price. Thank you for these & the helpful video's.👍
Nice! Two canteens are a must and there's no better than these right here. I dig the 2 QT. military canteens but they have only one use, carrying water. The Pathfinder SS canteens do more. Thanks Dave.
I have the original square handle set w bio stove from the first day it came out ...had to switch out the cover to a military digi-cam cover because that original one was junk...all told it still works great Dave!
Your gear is top notch! I have the 8 inch frying pan with lid, the canteen cook kit, the hammock and tarp kit and some other stuff I can't remember. I have had no issues with any of it. Everything works the way it's advertised and is supposed to work. You do a good job with these videos, Dave. I also appreciate you ending your videos by thanking your customers. That's class!
Awesome. This is why I went with the Nalgene as opposed to the canteen when I bought my set years ago. Grew up swilling out of an old aluminum surplus L bracket and never liked the design. Now I think I’ll finally add that canteen to my collection. Haha. Thanks Dave. Keep up the awesome work.
Hey Dave, New to your products / site and just ordered two complete canteen cook sets and two carry packs. Exactly what I was looking for and will be put to good use grouse hunting in the Michigan UP this Fall (in gets deep, dark and lovely up there in those woods quick :)). Thank you!
3:542:44 CANTEEN: I have a older version, cup, stove, lid, and canteen, molle style carry case. Use it everyday. Picked it up at Peavey Mart on clerance for 50. CDN. At the time same kit selling online for 80, 90, US Pathfinder Logo on it widw mouth, thats why I got it. This one also has a flip loc handle, which kocs the stove on the bottom.
Just ordered two sets, about to have three set ups, I love all my pathfinder equipment just bought my step dad the scorpion HD for his birthday coming up I recommend all pathfinder product all that I have bought this far is high quality stuff
I think adding the additional butterfly cup to the cooking set takes it to another level...2 cups is better than 1..Lol. Still waiting for camo versions of the pouch tho. The pathfinder cooking kit and the BCB nato kit by far are my top recommendations. Can't go wrong either. Jmho.
Dave, will your canteen receive Nalgene type caps? Some of the water filtration systems screw directly onto a Nalgene and makes it easier. Thank you for the video.
I like the canteen, w cup stove and lid from pathfinder, I use it w a USGI pistol belt and an old French canteen cover from the Indochina war Era, it's a simple canteen cover very much like the USGI M-1910, except it is bigger and will hold the entire pathfinder canteen set. I feel like the wire handles are more comfortable than the L shape especially while driving in my truck sipping coffee, but why just have a cup? I guess I'll have to grab another pathfinder canteen as well lol.
I still have my canteen from when you made them with canteen shop, going on over 12+ years still use most every day. I have had to replace the cap once but I'm wondering when will you make one from steel.
One canteen isn’t enough water anyway, on the old Alice gear two regular canteens and a couple of the two quarts on your pack was very common, I like the system.
Interesting to see that I actually have the cooking set in the pack - I got it from a freind in 2018ish? and it is stored seperate from my BoB. Cool video - good to know where it came from! I use it with my fishing gear!
Nice combo set Dave. Out of interest, would you produce a version similar to the British Crusader mug. Rather than one side of mug & bottle being concave, both sides are near equal.
You demonstrated that the canteen with two cups is a good system. Would you be able to economically ship a canteen with two butterfly cups? That would solve the dead airspace problem. What do you think?
i own the very first SS prototype of this set handed to me by you Dave Canterbuty when it was created way back when it was the first one on market world wide. still going strong event though its been changed over and over. its the old 3 point contact cup. i mighr need some batwings.
Great news, I was definitely one of those waiting for this cup. By the way, is there a chance you will make a smaller nesting cup for the 64 oz bottle? I mean a smaller one, than the 48 oz cup, with butterfly handles, that could be slided over the top of the 64 oz bottle, even if the 48 oz cup is already on it, so the two cups would fit around the bottle, just like these two canteen cups in the video.
Is that a version of a Cap-Cap I see on your trail canteen in the shoulder bag? When will that be available? I use it on all of my 32 oz bottles and I would love one to fit my pathfinder canteen!
Yeah... it was like riding in a hurricane out there today. I'm just a couple hours north of you and been riding this Adventure Bike through all weather conditions to see how viable it is as not just a cheap and fun daily driver, but an agile vehicle with a 6 gallon tank and 50MPG. The only problem... Im about as old as you 😂.
👍👍👍 A nice alternative. It's nice to be able to have a choice. Me personally, I prefer the original 'three point of contact' version (which I use). 'Drinking on the Fly' and not taking anything away from the SS Canteen Cup .. in Winter, a Stainless Steel Double-Wall Mug with Plastic Lid or Insulated Plastic Mug serve well. Summer, a lightweight Plastic Mug hooked on my pack. All have done the job for more than 15 years .. and .. no scalded lips. I like to sip my coffee hot 😊. Those in outrage over buying goods produced in China. Yes, it is preferable to support, wherever possible, local industry, especially the 'cottage' ones. However, for many of us, myself included, it is a question of Economics.
We were getting fairly strong wind over here on the Scioto River. The wind kept spitting and spraying all day long without it actually breaking out into a full rain. I can hear from the video you got some rain over in Wellston. I'm making your "ladder pack folding chair" at Camp Falling Rock this week. I wish this had come out a few weeks ago.
I have an older version of that molle pouch, with a canteen set and alcohol stove that came with it, that bag seems bigger than the one I have. I still use mine a lot, both as a 10 "C"s kit bag when I am in the woods, as well as an every day bag with the things I need with me. are the new ones bigger? or is that just an optical illusion of the video? I also put a bottle bag on one side of the bag, on the molle webbing, and a first aid kit on the other side. I used that as my example of how small an augmented 10 "C"s kit can be when I did a video on the various options to have the items you need with you. I always have a 40 oz bottle and nesting cup on my wheelchair gear, as well as the bottle on that pouch with another nesting cup. and when my son and I are going to be out in the woods for more than a few hours, I substitute the 64 oz pathfinder bottle kit for the 40 oz on
I love the L-handle canteen cup, I have the titanium canteen that fits in my Vietnam era canteen cup. It’s always a good idea to have extra and the pathfinder canteen set is fantastic to have in a vehicle survival kit. I’m excited for the carbon steal skillet to come out.
That is a nice canteen. Ive had one for years. Not sure the price (for me) would warrant a handle change from what I have. HOWEVER, if you need a set, dont waste your money trying others.
I have the first version of the canteen set without the drings on the handle and have been wanting to get the new style when i find the cash. Now i have another item to add to my wishlist. I also have a couple of the bottle sets, but last time i looked at them it looked like the bottlr cups and there lids no longer had the modifications to be hung by a fishmouth spreader. Is there a reason that change was made?
Namaste Dave Sir . Its a Very good Canteen Set , Please Make it in Bottle shape also . So Lots of people use in EDC / GHB set up . iF you make it in Black Colour , Then Its also use by Student/ Office Going People Thanks for video
Can you please release the canteen cup with the Butterfly Handles by itself without the canteen. It appears that only old version canteen cup can be sold by itself. Thank you.
That would fit in ALICE /782 Deuce Gear Handily.Herding Sheep Horse Back in Red Desert much handier than traditional Cowboy Canteen on a Horse.Easy to build a Sagebrush Fire and a Cup of Tea.
I’ve been using PF gear since the original bottle and cup came out. I now own several pieces of PF gear. It’s never let me down. I recommend it to everyone.
I've been using the original for years. I use it while long-distance backpacking. Great bulletproof system.
I’ve been following your channel for awhile and remember you talking about producing the canteen cup several videos ago! You mentioned having 2 cup nesting together in the same bag. Stainless steel is the stuff. So glad someone took the initiative to do it. Although I do like lower gauge cookware. Lighter and more efficient.
2 water containers in the summer is a good idea. Especially down here in Florida.
I have the original & and it's still going strong here in Australia. I have the PFM40 SWEDISH MESS KIT too & use it for motorcycle touring. Great quality gear at an affordable price. Thank you for these & the helpful video's.👍
Great set Dave. I just got mine last week along with the Swiss cook set. I can't wait to get out and try them out.
I like the idea of the wider mouth on those. Great kits.
Nice! Two canteens are a must and there's no better than these right here. I dig the 2 QT. military canteens but they have only one use, carrying water. The Pathfinder SS canteens do more. Thanks Dave.
Dave, you're constantly refining, improving, and increasing options/versatility for your customers.
This is why your gear is market leading.
I have the original square handle set w bio stove from the first day it came out ...had to switch out the cover to a military digi-cam cover because that original one was junk...all told it still works great Dave!
Exactly the original cover was a throw on and I got rid of it because I hated the quality
Your gear is top notch! I have the 8 inch frying pan with lid, the canteen cook kit, the hammock and tarp kit and some other stuff I can't remember. I have had no issues with any of it. The best canteen system in market hands-down.
I still have mine from the Army 1980's edition
I must've heard that intro about a thousand times and always appreciate hearing it.
Superbly designed modular system .
I love your thorough explanations Dave! Cool set!

Thank you for making these available.
OUTSTANDING. AS USUAL.... THANK YOU DAVE... WE LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS AND VIDEOS.... FRM. N E GA.MOUNTAINS.
Gotta get a canteen cup and lid to go with my Pathfinder canteen for sho'! ❤
THANX for all the great products Dave & Co, great quality and price!
I picked up the pathfinder french press the other day, it is 1st rate all the way!
Just picked up another one of the Pathfinder 32oz Stainless water bottle/cup/stove trail kits on Amazon. Great value!
I've still got the very first cup and canteen you first brought out, still going strong.
Just ordered two sets, about to have three set ups, I love all my pathfinder equipment just bought my step dad the scorpion HD for his birthday coming up I recommend all pathfinder product all that I have bought this far is high quality stuff
That looks like a human gear top on the drinking canteen. I use them on Pathfinder stainless bottles. I’ll be buying a couple of canteens now.
Thanks Dave this is much appreciated.
I think adding the additional butterfly cup to the cooking set takes it to another level...2 cups is better than 1..Lol. Still waiting for camo versions of the pouch tho. The pathfinder cooking kit and the BCB nato kit by far are my top recommendations. Can't go wrong either. Jmho.
Pathfinder has the best stuff !!!
I own most of his stuff.!!
Looks like a nice addition to the kit.
Dave, will your canteen receive Nalgene type caps? Some of the water filtration systems screw directly onto a Nalgene and makes it easier. Thank you for the video.
Yes
In my cart💥🎯Dave, you rock💥
Why is the original design canteen cup no longer available? It looks much better than the batwing.
Can you add a stainless lid too?
I really like that 3 piece canteen set...
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Canterbury,
why don't use the titanium kit?
I still have my canteen from when you made them with canteen shop, going on over 12+ years still use most every day. I have had to replace the cap once but I'm wondering when will you make one from steel.
I like that set up.
One canteen isn’t enough water anyway, on the old Alice gear two regular canteens and a couple of the two quarts on your pack was very common, I like the system.
IMHO, one can rarely have too many canteens.
I wish they would still offer the Viet Nam era cup-----why not offer both?
Always high quality, Dave
You demonstrated that the canteen with two cups is a good system. Would you be able to economically ship a canteen with two butterfly cups? That would solve the dead airspace problem. What do you think?
Except the fact it is shipped in retail boxes that only one cup is sold with the canteen
i own the very first SS prototype of this set handed to me by you Dave Canterbuty when it was created way back when it was the first one on market world wide. still going strong event though its been changed over and over. its the old 3 point contact cup. i mighr need some batwings.
Guess im getting a third canteen.... only need the cup and a lid
Would be perfect if the lid were also stainless steel! Still getting one though!
Id like the cup but dont want another canteen
Love Pathfinder gear, good stuff Dave cheers
Would these fit in the old military canteen pouches that had the plastic canteen.
No
Howdy, Brother! I don't give a hoot what the price is. I've been waiting for this stuff for years. God Bless and Drive-On, Cowboy!!!!!🤠
Been waiting for this. Now I just have to decide if I want just the cup to add to my current set. Or get a whole new set lol
Edit: combo it is!
Great news, I was definitely one of those waiting for this cup. By the way, is there a chance you will make a smaller nesting cup for the 64 oz bottle? I can't find the old canteen cup on your website, somebody please help......
Is that a version of a Cap-Cap I see on your trail canteen in the shoulder bag? When will that be available? I use it on all of my 32 oz bottles and I would love one to fit my pathfinder canteen!
Ahhhight. Just ordered one.

Outstanding!

I just clicked on the video. This would be a good thing to have on short hikes with my dog. Is there an insulated pouch for it?
Does the old canteen fits into the new pod and reverse?
Yes
Oh that's very nice I need to get me one of these for my kit for sure!!
Dave, please sell the canteen cup with D rings by itself. The D rings I think is a better design
We have them on our site
Excellent!
We were getting fairly strong wind over here on the Scioto River. The wind kept spitting and spraying all day long without it actually breaking out into a full rain.

Thanks for Sharing
Will you sell just the cup

Im sure ill ultimately buy a set anyways, but i dont see how shipping a single l bracket cup, or even a bottle cup or grayle cup cost any different
Didn't the mess kit tooling get hijacked and multiple copies appear?
Would love if y’all would tether the cap off. Just cuz I know I’d lose that thing.
Dave você envia seus produtos para o Brasil?
We ship worldwide
What was the camo shoulder bag you was using not sure if I missed that part.
Pathfinder Scout Pack available on our site
First in. I love your products!
Thank you David !!
Can we just get the cup? I lost the cup to my canteen.
Dave is the King
Thanks Dave
The SMART system 👌 THANKS
I have the first version of the canteen set without the drings on the handle and have been wanting to get the new style when i find the cash. Now i have another item to add to my wishlist. Dave is the man. Good ideas great value. CC is nothing but a whiner that produces poor content and really doesn't care.
Namaste Dave Sir . Its a Very good Canteen Set ,
Please Make it in Bottle shape also . So Lots of people use in EDC / GHB set up .
iF you make it in Black Colour , Then Its also use by Student/ Office Going People Thanks for video
Dave, I still don't see the "batwing" canteen cup available by itself on the PF webpage. What's the price and when will it be available separately???
I need another one
👍👍👍
Is there a metal lid for the canteens. Just wondering. Anybody Anybody.
Is it the same size as the US/nato canteen cups?
Can you please release the canteen cup with the Butterfly Handles by itself without the canteen. It appears that only old version canteen cup can be sold by itself. Thank you.

Can wait to get my hands on the new product now I'm just wondering when he's going to make a world war II US mess kit
Will you ship to the UK?
Yes
