Thank you buddy
Thanks. I love my Pathfinder gear and it has never let me down. Great that you keep innovating to make each generation of your products more functional.
Great video. aluminum gutter spikes would probably work for the tent stakes idea too.
Carriage bolts too
Love it friend
I am from Raleigh NC .I bought this system I cook with every day for lunch
Thank for all you do , garry
Nice !
Great looking kit brother. Thanks for the video
Sir this video is even better than the first one on this Pmf40 great Idea you have again thank you .
One of the best videos about a camp cook set well set up I’ll be copying most of your ideas thank again. Subscribed
Thank you 😊
I just ordered the PFM40 and I already own PF Cup nice to know it fits. Thank for the idea.
I love mine. I have my set up differently but like the way you have yours set up might just copy your set up a litte. Awesome video my friend
Wow..simple tent stakes..who knew? Thank you!!
Well done Chris. Will have to see what I can come up with for my M40. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mark!
I’ve got the PFM40 and love it along with the canteen, cup and stove kit. Combining an extra cup with the PFM40 is a great idea then…tent stakes?? Genius. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for watching. The hardest part of getting it to work was finding the right stakes. I tried a few different ones before I found the Harbor Freight ones had a large enough diameter for it to work.
I like that idea a lot. I have a Wildo Kasa cup in mine. I do have & use a canteen cup, so it would be easy to heat my coffee by just swapping out the cup & adding suitable tent stakes. Well done & thank you for sharing👍👍
Thanks for watching and the comment.
Thank you for the idea. I will be stealing your idea. Lol.
Go for it!
Nice kit! 👍
Thanks 👍
Awesome!!! Love when people think outside the box. Not pushing anything…but I have a couple vids that think outside the box too with the pathfinder equipment. I believe they are scheduled for this week. if interested. Blessings, the ocd hunter.
Thanks. I will keep an eye out for your videos.
That's a keeper. I use SS skewers in a similar manner so I can put my Firebox/Trangia isobutane burner in there :)
I'm not a canteen cooking kind of guy, but I might have to become one now. I'm lovin' that PFM40 and I'll be ordering one soon.
You pre-answered a question I was going to ask about any compatibility with the Pathfinder canteen components which I already love. Thanks for the vid.
Very nice setup, ty for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Very nice cook kit!

👍🏻👍🏻
Outstanding
Thanks
I recently purchased this PFM40. have not used yet
Or put Pathfinder cup and 2 Stanley Green cups as well many options
Wonderful video Chris! You hit the nail on the head and made this kit so universal. I'm excited to see what you're going to be cooking in this kit in the future.
Also, do you think you will add more to this mod in the future?
Thanks Shane, I have some ideas for the future of this mess kit buildout. I will be sure we make more videos about it as I refine the kit. Thanks for watching and the comment.
can u turn over the base and use it with wood like The Pathfinder School Canteen Cooking Set
Good tip thanks
Thanks!
Blackie Thomas has made a similar video with slight differences as He's a ground pounder using an original aluminium M40 with a slightly modified windshield He's got a GI cup with butterfly handles and a Wildo 600ml folding cup 😇
Nice
This is an cool kit. Whats your take on this messkit setup vs the 1qt Pathfinder bushpot?
They are both great pieces of kit. I like the concept of the 1 Qt bushpot, but I find it a little limited in size (capacity) when compared to the PFM40
I have the original canteen cook set that came with the pouch. I just purchased the M40 cook set. Numerous videos show it fitting in the pouch. It doesn’t. I checked the self reliance website and only one pouch is available. Also. Unrelated. But the new canteen with d rings is nowhere to be found on the website. Just the new butterfly handled type. I’m hoping someone on here can link to a bag that works for storing the M40. Thanks
The only bag I have found that works well is the one from Self Reliance Outfitters. www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/products/pathfinder-molle-bag
Hello, Is your Bag for the m40 the pathfinder Molle Bag?
Best regards👍🏻
Yes, it is!
Hey Chris did you get the hook to work like a fixed handle?
I can get it to work about 80 percent of the time, the other 20 percent of the time I end up cussing and giving up. I saw your pictures on FaceBook showing how you get it to work and I agree that is the way it should be done. I also liked the small wooden handle you came up with for the small pot. I will be making one of those for my cook kit. It should fit inside the cook kit when all packed up.
How much does it weigh ?
Curious will the pathfinder 34 kit fit in the 40 kit
Unfortunately, the canteen on the M34 in the cup is a little too tall and it will not allow the M40’s lid to sit completely on the kit. But that was a great question. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
Will the M40 fit in the helikon-tex kitbag?
No it will not.
Thank you
What bag is that ?
That is the Pathfinder MOLLE Bag. www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/products/pathfinder-molle-bag
