Jeff Krotine had some part in his wife's death. That is one extremely cold pissed off dude. I think he was "going to get her" for cheating even though he was cheating also.
It is possible he hired someone to killed her at that location. But he is a cold dude, my gosh. I am not 100% convinced he is behind the murder, one think is sure, he didn’t do it with his own hands, his heart would give it up on him, I suppose.
Sometimes these killers are so stupid they don’t even remember to ask how their spouses died. Ill health or not, it appears he was acting and laying it on thick in that interrogation room, especially when he asked to wrap it up. He really didn’t seem too broken up to me
We all grieve differently and we grieve differently for each of those we grieve over. When one of my best friends passed away, I immediately rearranged my furniture in my house. Every room. I have no idea why. He didn't live there. He had his own house. I just felt the need to change the way my rooms looked. Maybe because now, with him not here anymore, it was a change. Maybe I needed to keep changing things because my life was now forever changed with him no longer in my life. I don't know. Just a theory. Maybe that is what the husband was feeling too.
When one friend of my and my ex husband passed, I was sobbing like I was the widow, didn’t manage to go to the wake or funeral, I was a mess. Someone could think something about us, and it was genuine friendship. The guy just turned 39, I was devastated for him and his family. I bet his girlfriend wasn’t crying like me, but so what? We are so different. My personal feelings about this guy is he is a cold person, but that’s all. Can’t say it he is a murderer.
Maybe so...if he had only just rearranged furniture. He hired a cleaning crew (made them start in the bedroom), replaced the carpet, painted the walls, and BURNED the headboard.
O PLEASE, THE HUSBAND IS GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY. WITH ALL THAT WORK, REMODELING, CLEANING JUST AFTER HIS WIFE WAS MURDERED. HE LOOKED SO GUILTY FOR SURE
A previous client of mine lost his wife (she had been terminally sick for a long time). Very quickly he got rid of their bed, dishes that were gifted at their wedding, all her belongings, repainted the house, changed the carpets. He loved her so much, but was grieving and wanted to get rid of everything that made the house remind him of her. Opposite to that I've known people to loose their spouse and keep everything of theirs exactly where it was, including a toothbrush laying on the bathroom counter.
I watch a lot of true crime shows and I’ve come to the conclusion that the main reason, besides corrupted 👮♀️, is that the people to decide someone’s fate is a jury of people such as: Librarian, plumber, Dr, cashier & so on are the ones to judge. Doesn’t make sense! We need professionals that are experts in human behavior & mental health. I say this bc I just have a degree in social work and while watching crime shows it’s BLOWN MY MIND when I’ve heard juror’s discuss behavior of the Defendant that might not make sense to them since they don’t have knowledge of psychology or how trauma can have an effect on someone.
I am waiting for Scott Peterson to get a new trial, because one of the only thing media was worried about the time of Laci’s death, was that he had a mistress, he was a liar and a cheater. The evidences on his case is not much different from this case. I wouldn’t convict someone on feelings.

And wasn't he planning on skipping out with his brothers license, thousands of dollars of cash, gaming gear, burner phones etc? There are so many things that causes one to come to the conclusion that he's guilty. It's going to be interesting to see these things explained away if he does get a new trial. I'm just glad I don't have to decide anyone's fate.
Except psychology really is not an exact science either. You cannot say FACTUALLY a person did something because you believe it could fit into what behavior that particular person may or may not be capable of.
@@chattahuffman5117 there is one case of cold case files, or forensic files that showed to me how you can be telling the truth and some of the so call “circumstantial evidence “ being there to make you look it guilty. This guy gave another guy a ride, then the guy wanted him to drive to an area that he new to be not safe, he said no and asked him to leave his car. He got upset and took it a screw driver that was in the motorist truck and try to stab it him with. The truck owner was able to fled the attacker and didn’t go home, afraid of the guy learning where he lives and try to attack it him again. As he was driving around he sees the guy again, he call the police and tell them what happened. After driving for few minutes, he thought was safe to go home, as he enters his home, he notice something was wrong. The guy he gave a ride, was wondering around and chose a house to break it in, guess what house he chose? The guy who gave him the ride. But it was randomly, he killed the mother of the trucker and who was to say it it wasn’t her son? Because she was stabbed with the screwdriver he took it from his truck at the time of the ride, long story short, he was arrested, he told the story, the police don’t believed him. Later it was proven he didn’t do it, but he had no alibi, the screwdriver was his, he had opportunity, it was crazy, innocent people do go to prison because of bad police work, and over zealous prosecutors.
Yeah that entire house would have been covered in blood, if anyone should know that people mourn differently it should be the cops. I usually think circumstantial evidences is great in cases but I’m not sold that the husband did this. I think a lot of the official story is reaching.
Some people are in shock...tom meager clint hiechel maggie haynes come to mind. Russ fauria got screwed over cause they thought he was TOO emotional....people need to follow evidence and not be the emotion police
I think that police department needed and wanted the husband to be guilty and he wasn't. This is how innocent people go to jail for crimes they never committed!!
@@cyankirkpatrick5194 What a bizarre response to her statement. Statistically she is correct. There are a lot of people that end up being released because they were not actually guilty.
Half of this series shouldn’t have been tried by the prosecutors knowing they couldn’t prove it beyond reasonable doubt. Do their research better to make their case! They rely of jurors emotions to convict.
This should never have been brought to trial in the 1st place. Highly circumstantial evidence with speculation. Not saying he didn't do it but they did not meet their burden of proof. Also I find it odd that the brother just automatically breaks into her car and finds her in her trunk. So definitely other suspects to explore but of course they had tunnel vision.
The daughter would've heard the argument if it was as heated as the prosecutors portrayed it to be. I don't think the prosecution did a good job here. If i were a juror i would have a hard time deciding on a verdict. Some of the prosecutor's statements seem very forced , like they tried to create all these facts to fit their theory. I don't feel sympathy for the guy, but the facts, as stated by the prosecutors, don't convince me of his guilt.
For some reason not having emotions and an affair for investigators are signs of guilt. He is a cold man, but I can’t convict it on that. Their marriage was over, he was having an affair, when he said he wasn’t going to sleep with another woman in the same bed he slept with his wife, I believe he was sincere, he wants his mistress in the house, but not in the same bed. I remember watching this case before and the prosecutor was just not having, his ego was hurt and he wanted convicted someone, even if it was an innocent. There is so much reasonable doubt, can’t convict.

The 1st thing her husband says in his interview is "let's get this done...I just wanna go home". REALLY! that's what he's concerned about...going home?!
He worked for State Farm and so did I at the time and when you have any type of cleaning that you want to do the first company that you think of are the ones that you referred to your clients for insurance claims I always used Servpro because I was familiar with their services
They didn't prove it, the prosecutors, the daughter said she heard nothing, he was found not guilty, so don't waste money on another trial for the husband. It's just the fact that they lost, wanted to win.
So, now he's passed away, and took his secrets with him to his grave. The losers are those poor children. Their mother will never see their own families. It's just too sad for words. Did they ever investigate the mistress? I mean, mistresses can also kill, or conspire with others to kill an obsticle in their way.
No murder weapon, daughter says the house is not the crime screen, no evidence motive because no one said Ramona wanted a divorce or anything like that, Jeff extremely sickly, NOT GUILTY!!!!
So the police/prosecutor could convict the wrong man, and not submit the DNA evidence that exonerated him. Pretty typical of filthy criminal prosecutor of the rotten prison industry.
The guy who later came forward and "witnessed" her alleged attack in the parking lot area.....why would they do that? I don't remember anything in the story about money she may have had with her being missing.
I’m a woman who’s lived alone for over 15yrs and you won’t find one single drop of my blood anywhere in my house. So finding Ramona’s blood drops in so many spots of the house, even after a pro cleaning and evidence disposal (to make his lover feel welcome) definitely looks suspicious to me. The brother goes looking for his sister but not the husband? He has a lover AND a heart condition? Hmmmm. I think he did it but not in the method they described…. The mention of a bedspread but no weapon? Blood in passenger seat + trunk? Why would she being carrying the cash instead of leaving it in trunk? I think the whole family lived in fear of the husband. I don’t think just the affair is enough to destroy his relationship with all of them.
Sister on law & Brother were involved. Never have I heard of a sister in law accompanying a husband to police station to talk about the murder of their wife. His lover brought he back home.
this kid has the perfect voice for radio and voice overs advertising and with his life experiences at such a young age I know family rejection is extremely harsh from personal experience I'm homeless but thankfully I don't have a hard drug addiction jus weed I hope your still alive and doing better
3 separate sets of jurors couldn't find him guilty. His children didn't think he was guilty (of murder, anyway) and after watching this I don't see the guilt either! So let's just say he really didn't do it (not 100% sure on this) think how many more injustices became because of the cops chasing the wrong robber. His life was ruined after this, in many ways. The 'real' killer (s) very well may have killed again. The list goes on. Very sad
Do not expect for the law enforcement to test the blood on the car door handle because it will exonerate their TARGET 🎯 person and will put their work into shame! They’d rather have the cloud hover his reputation. That is their only and ultimate victory.

I honestly don't believe it was the husband. Watched this 3 times at it is stuck in my head. Read some articles. I don't believe it was the husband and i would have found him not guilty if i was on the jury. I would be taking a closer look at the brother. But they have dna so why aren't they solving this case once and for all. The brothers statement " I felt her body to make sure it was cold" was just weird to me.
That lady prosecutor was so over the top banging seven times that it just suggests to me that they didn't have enough hard evidence to convict him and knew it. As for getting rid of the bedroom stuff my son, who loved his father dearly burned all of his clothes in a matter of days after his death because it hurt him to see them. He said no one else can have them now. We do all grieve in different ways.
I wonder, if the parking lot was the crime scene...did they get all of the evidence around, before they towed the car? Did Jeff have a car, and met her at the parking lot? Otherwise, how would he get back to the house? The state did not provide an answer for that. I agree, too many unconnected dots. I think the police missed some evidence. So sad.
I'm not so sure Mr. Krotine was guilty. Given my reactions to my own grief over my friend passing on. Changing things doesn't ALWAYS mean guilt!! Prosecutors and detectives are so quick to judge and convict it's ridiculous!!! It all basically boils down to money. The more people in the prison system, the more money for that state and the persons involved with all of that system.
He looks guilty? Yeah... great evidence lol
That woman rubbing him during the interview is being so inappropriate; who does that?!
defense attorney sound like he's gonna burst into tears any minute...
Tameron hall is born for this stuff
Her sister was killed in 2004 · She left behind a son who is still looking for answers · I think that's why she's Soo good at it cos she relates.
O PLEASE, THE HUSBAND IS GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY. WITH ALL THAT WORK, REMODELING, CLEANING JUST AFTER HIS WIFE WAS MURDERED. HE LOOKED SO GUILTY FOR SURE
The daughter's testimony Wtf ? Weird.
Damn. Here we go again Cleveland.
Oh Kay. But was his wife blood slatterd on the items he got rid of?
@@Aries-tx3zz we don't know that they were, and we only know they discover a few teenie tiny drops which most people would have in their home.
He was fooling around on her, so how could he have loved he so much he had to deep-clean the house and get rid of carpeting?
@junemarshall-kingsley566 everyone grieves different, and people cheat for different reasons.
THIS WAS SOOOOO GOOD!
So enjoying Tamaron on this show.
How that even went to the first trial is insane.
@@laurenmay2098 but wasn't she found where he had gone fishing the day she disappeared? And didn't the cement anchors he made disappear? And didn't he keep secret the fact that he had bought a boat that he took out that day? And didn't he say he had gone to play golf before he had been seen taking the boat out?
Y'all 5 specks of blood shouldn't send anyone to prison especially when you have lived in that house for 17 years
I have lived in my house for 40 years and there is absolutely no blood in any of my 3 bedrooms.
It seems to be hard for some men to convict other men. Just wait till u pass and then u can apologize to Ramona.
I missed if the money was in the car, but robbery is more likely.
I think that police department needed and wanted the husband to be guilty and he wasn't. This is how innocent people go to jail for crimes they never committed!!
🤦🤦🏼♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏿♂️🤯🥺🙄🤪🤣🤦🤦🏼♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🤯🤣🤣🤣
Then why don't you start a half way home for felons their innocent right you said that were
@@cyankirkpatrick5194 What a bizarre response to her statement.
Statistically she is correct. There are a lot of people that end up being released because they were not actually guilty.
The prosecution is the reason this woman didn't get justice. The whole case, their argument, and evidence was trash! Smh
Half of this series shouldn’t have been tried by the prosecutors knowing they couldn’t prove it beyond reasonable doubt. Do their research better to make their case! They rely of jurors emotions to convict.
Who the hell is rubbing his back? Poor woman. He isn’t bothered at all about her.
His sister who is a nurse.
@@Carylina1Nope it’s HER sister. Her unstoppable touches were inappropriate.
Always the husband theory, in my opinion, the guy is a jerk, but not a murderer. Waist of money.
Oh man, I have to find this trial to watch. The evidence shown in this episode isn’t super convincing to me.
I would never convict this man on such flimsy 'evidence' - no way.
@@laurenmay2098 Signs of guilt also include blood splatter.
Who gets mad and says they are annoyed when a wife doesn't come home. When I stay out late with my girlfriend I call my husband if it goes past midnight. It's about RESPECT!!!
HE'S GUILTY, WHENEVER YOU HEAR ABOUT AN AFFAIR WITH ANOTHER, IT USUALLY POINTS TO GUILT.
Excellent episode. Presents clearly the type of investigation, interviewing, analysis and inferential reasoning detectives used
Not a fan of the recreations, however.
We know this is true crime so you don't need to warn us crime scenes. We are adults and can handle it.
It's legal protection. Just like those warnings on ceiling fans not to put your head in the moving blades.
@@always_b_natural703 I agree. My new washing machine came with a comprehensive booklet. One piece of advice stated, in tiny lettering, "any attempt to interfere with the plug on this device will result in the automatic cancellation of the warrenty"
such a small petty thing to take issue with.. bet you’re fun at parties
I actually don't think he had anything to do with it. I think that affair put him in the spotlight. Should be a lesson for everyone! Affair doesn't equal murder, but since the odds are against you if your significant other winds up dead...just sayin'.
God knows if Jeff is guilty. If he's guilty, then he will receive his punishment. Sad for her loved ones.
The 1st thing her husband says in his interview is "let's get this done...I just wanna go home". REALLY! that's what he's concerned about...going home?!
Love this show.
If the husband/ father is innocent , why is this story on “Someone They Knew”?😂
So, now he's passed away, and took his secrets with him to his grave. The losers are those poor children. Their mother will never see their own families. It's just too sad for words. Did they ever investigate the mistress? I mean, mistresses can also kill, or conspire with others to kill an obsticle in their way.
Luv Tamron HALL!! 👍 Great reporter 👏 👏✌️😷🇨🇦
No murder weapon, daughter says the house is not the crime screen, no evidence motive because no one said Ramona wanted a divorce or anything like that, Jeff extremely sickly, NOT GUILTY!!!!
Why was the blood under the handle never tested and they said it wasn’t her blood?
Things that make you go 🤔 hmmm‼️
So the police/prosecutor could convict the wrong man, and not submit the DNA evidence that exonerated him. Pretty typical of filthy criminal prosecutor of the rotten prison industry.
@@madi4481 Great points 💯 sad ‼️
The guy who later came forward and "witnessed" her alleged attack in the parking lot area.....why would they do that? I don't remember anything in the story about money she may have had with her being missing.
Where did the $4000 ish money from selling fudge go? Was it taken?
I never thought he did it
That defense attorney is in denial!!!
Good show!
30:54 his wife being murdered??? Not my mother? Red 🚩
You gotta admire defense attorneys, they sprout so much shite that they themselves don't believe lol.
Notice the husband didn't join the brother in searching for her!
So much of this going on.
Is Jeff wearing a snap on rug?..figures..he prolly thinks he's fooling us..lol
😂
Sister on law & Brother were involved. Never have I heard of a sister in law accompanying a husband to police station to talk about the murder of their wife.
His lover brought he back home.

this kid has the perfect voice for radio and voice overs advertising and with his life experiences at such a young age I know family rejection is extremely harsh from personal experience I'm homeless but thankfully I don't have a hard drug addiction jus weed I hope your still alive and doing better
Some people myself is also sensitive to noises even if it’s in the basement and I’m on my first floor sleeping this is just is tragic story.
The defense attorney is literally foaming at the mouth.
Very sad
Cleveland was named after General Moses Cleaveland. I don’t think it has anything to do with the word cleave and the river cutting the city in half!
And cleave is spelled with an A.
Could the father have put something inhis daughter's drink so she wouldn't wake up?
Do not expect for the law enforcement to test the blood on the car door handle because it will exonerate their TARGET 🎯 person and will put their work into shame! They’d rather have the cloud hover his reputation. That is their only and ultimate victory.
Exactly
Hmmmm if my husband didn't come home all night, I would freak out!
And the cops blew it.
First of all , love this show ,always so interesting to watch and this man is guilty as hell !!! Second , I LOVE EVERY SINGLE OUTFIT TAMRIN HALL WEARS !!!!!!!!!!
Did the father and the doughier have tea or coffee together before the daughter went to sleep? Because if she was drugged, then she would not have heard anything.
I love how they try to give excuses for why this Murderer had little to no emotion. Psychopaths do that. He had no emotion because he saw nothing wrong with killing his wife. It's not Rocket Science that he not only murdered her, but tried to cover it up. One day he will stand before The Ultimate Judge on his Judgement Day. No one gets away with anything. You pay on this side of Eternity, or the other. RIP to this poor lady. 🙏🏽💕✝️

I dont think he did it……. First, he has a very poor health, it would be too hard for him to carry unconscious/ dead person out to the car…… second, if beating happened at home, it wont be just 5 specks of blood they would find…..
Im sometimes in awe how some lawyers cant make up stories as to what they believed happened….
Guilty .
I watched the whole trial, not just this video. He didn't do it
Prosecutors in this case are a double threat - ruthless and brainless - the worst combo
Guilty. Who’s the squeaky guy trying to defend him?
I was asking myself the same thing. The evidence is overwhelming.
So sad.
I don't believe he did...
I believe Jeff had a hand in it. Had motive and his girl friend.
From Judges to detectives and everyone in between and even some that haven't any connection to the system. It's all about money!
Thanks for your personal insight, interesting...did you form an opinion as to his guilt??
Exactly. Prosecutors and those who own the prison system have more crime and blood on their hands.
Change does always mean guilt. But blood splatter does.
