They always overdo it on these true crime shows… I live in Austin. Penny and Roger may have seemed to have been “pillars” in their little church community but that’s about it. Behind the scenes, other things were going on. Their adopted daughter began topless dancing which drove Penny crazy. Both Roger and the daughter seemed to be tired of playing the “perfect” Christian roles and I think they were both resentful of Penny’s strict biblical style. As we all know well, there is no perfect family. Everyone has issues and struggles behind the curtain whether they want to admit it or not. So sad for Penny though. She truly WAS trying to be an exemplary Christian. 😞
He played along with the "perfect marriage". He climbed the ladder at work with the perfect wife and home. In reality, he hated his strict, dull life and her.

“People wanting to lock doors”…? Even when I was a child in the 60’s, my parents instilled in me the importance of LOCKING DOORS and not giving criminals an open invitation. Thanks, guys.😘
Same. I hear people talking all the time about how they never locked their doors, etc. Pfft. I grew up in a Middle-Upper class suburb in the 1970s-1980s.
