I have this exact same kayak, same color too, traded up from the Oldtown Topwater 106. The PDL is absolutely amazing,I take it out on the great lakes up here in Canada 🇨🇦 and it handles like a champ in wind and rough water.Installed an anchor trolley which is a game changer in wind and current.

That is a awesome video. That is awesome that this kayak is working out for you. Especially getting the exercise for your knees I know that really helps. I've been doing a lot of bike riding , walking , kayaking this summer to help out with my knees and this is why I want this kayak. I like the fact that it can also carry some weight I'm big myself so I need a kayak that can hold everything. All I would need to do is get those custom foot pedals for these wide feet and I will be happy. Great video thank you for sharing.

I have a fairly inexpensive lifetime sports fisher with several modifications. It has been serving me well but I'm eventually going to upgrade to a pedal drive.
I like how the rudder is protected on this kayak. If this had a slightly better design where there isn't a hole in the bottom when not using the pedals it would be a no brainer.

All our areas are busy and over crowded and I feel rushed to get in and out.. Cool video! The sound effects are perfect. I’m 62, 5’4”- 175 and my research led me to the same kayak. It’s light enough to car top (Buick Encore), easily loads in and out with the help of a cart for those distance hauls to the dock and most importantly I get my “fishersize” lol I have to share this: I fished a creek off the James River that had current flowing out as I approached. Boat position being critical in current, I spun the kayak around and peddled up the creek backwards. I was able to keep my bait in the strike zone longer and fish with the current and never touched my paddle. Try that with an electric powered haha A big plus is you have a private pee trough as well.

@@FishinwithGRAMPS glad you keep moving, don't stop. I understand your pain, many won't. Since May 12th 99. I had 27 spine operations, up and down, have a dilaudid pump implant in my right side with a catheter that runs through me and up to t-12 thoracic spine, take oxycontin 20mg 6x day. It takes edge off pain. Nerve damage everywhere. Need knees and hips replacements but won't help, was stubborn when hurt at 27 and didn't listen, right back fixing house ECT.. Day out of hospital, shoveled, cement work, roof of 3 family house ECT.. Had a young family thought superman lol. Now need total spine reconstruction which will hold off as long as can. Friends take me fishing and shooting but can't walk far with cane(supposed to use walker but I'm an idiot) so as I walk I end up bent over facing ground. Can't hunt,, ice fish or go deep sea fishing anymore. So enjoy every moment I can get out. Wow can't believe I said all that lol. Saw some success stories with back surgeries but more bad, lot of friends had a knee done with titanium great success, 1 went back on his commercial claming boat 10 days later. So what I mean is listen to docs, make careful decisions about surgery, and don't stop moving🙏. Don't think ever told anyone online any of that. Issue I'm having is I'm 5' 2" or so 267lb with a big ol belly. What have you found to be the best adjustment on the seat so it's comfortable to pedal? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
