I love how you utilize your resources. Save the plants over in pots to reuse, giving things away to family or friends, feeding left over produce to the chickens or Bethany’s pigs. 👍💚💚💚
I made the DIY spheres from embroidery hoops from your video on 12/20/2018 and they lasted until this year for many different projects. But they finally bit the dust and I was able to order metal ones this fall from Home Depot to be ready for the next project. And now I know what the next project will be! Ordering fairy lights tonight and will put this idea together for my Christmas pots as soon as I remove the kale and dusty miller in my current pots. Thank you for all of the continuing beautiful ideas!
Please on recent letters video you called orbs or sphere's ,Obelisks, not correct. The taller @ base, narrowing toward top,as in iconic Washington monument built in 1884 era, stands 555 ft tall. That's sn obelisk, photos were orbs or spheres like in this video.. 👍🏼
Who else wants to go straight out and try to find a sphere and some greens to replicate this beautiful outdoor arrangement!?!! That is perfection! ✨❤️✨
Everything looks so calm and peaceful lighted. This year seems to be that way for many of my friends and myself also. Love Benjamin's enthusiasm! He is such a good boy. Merry Christmas everyone!
Years ago I was looking for a video to help me with outdoor Christmas pots. And guess who I found? Garden Answer has helped with so many projects since then and I’ve watched every single video. Thank you Laura!
One thing I have learned from Laura is, to keep your workstation ready 😆 Gardening is only a few years old for me, so I need to implement my sorting and arranging skills in the garden dept. as I have in my sewing/creative room 😆 When the stuff is ready to go, you get more done without too much fuss. Thanks for the inspiration Laura 🙏😃💐
One thing I realized with the years is that I prefer a natural, simple winter-style decor than the traditional holidays themed ones. It looks more peaceful to me.
So glad to see you saving the kale and dusty Miller. Waste not want not was my Grandmother’s motto. Once again you have worked through another day inspiring us to decorate for the holidays!! 🌿🎄❤
I have several dusty Miller that comeback every spring. I leave them in the ground snd they return. Every year they get bigger even aftera hard spring cutback. Garden in southern Ontario Canada zone 6
SO beautiful! I can imagine a horse and carriage driving up, and ladies dressed in green victorian velvet coats and muffs and hats, heading to the ballroom!!
well, yes.. now i'm thinking i need some greens for some of the pots i have around here.. hmmm.... love the simplicity of those pots: they are elegant!! Benjamin is such a great helper, too... everything is just looking so classic this year, i love it... i love seeing the chickens waiting for that pumpkin to be opened, how fun to have these extra "employees" who work for just a little food and provide you with fresh eggs (and a little entertainment)... you inspire me to keep thinking about what else i can do to heighten the festivities around here!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Have you seen videos on chickens eating pumpkins? Poke holes with a screwdriver for eyes nose and mouth, this gives chickens a starting point to carve it out for you! Mine made a perfect pumpkin face in less than an hour. I left it in there for them and the whole pumpkin vanished except for the stem the next day. It kept them entertained! I made a video of mine, which I with students.
LEAF BLOWER: she keeps all areas she works in “clean” with the leaf blower. As a result, one’s eye goes to the display and is not distracted by dirt or leaves that would be there if she didn’t clear everything away. Looks great! 🌸
Laura, I’m so happy you showed me how to put together winter pots. It is one of my favorite things to do each winter. I’ve since showed my daughters and some friends how to do them. Grateful for all I have learned from you!😊
Traditionally I don’t decorate until the the first or second week into December (old school🤣), but seeing the outside of your home at night has made me get the decorations out now! How lovely the front of the house looks-you can feel the Christmas spirit!
GOOD AFTERNOON - Yes.......evening lights.....same color......is now the diamonds pride of all things beautiful and festive !!!! Thank you all as usual, so amazing. Love.
It would be really pretty to hang a glass ornament or something sparkly in the middle of the spheres that would catch the light from the fairy lights and just sparkle.
Hi Laura and Aaron! Those planters look so pretty with the spheres, greens and lights. The nighttime view of al of the lights is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!
I have the time change. So this is my shower time for work. I always start the video and finish later in the day as I get time. I hate the time change. Glad you benefit though.
Laura, everything in. The big container looks so green, lush and fresh and here I am just sitting, like I don't have nothing to do, my house is torn upside down. Still trying to get it all Christmased up. Wonderful video.
It's so satisfying to see how you always take note of any good-looking plants and pot them up, branches, twigs anything that can be reused again and keep for the next project vs throwing on the pile. The sphere containers are elegant, fresh, and simple and lit up with the rest of your decorations, very festive and beautiful...Love it! Now I'm in the mood to get decorating and planting up some containers! ❤️😊
Beautiful arrangements as always Laura! I made two sphere's per your instructions in one of your other videos, I love them! I grew regular dusty miller from seed in 2022 and left them in the ground over winter I live in Mile High Colorado zone 6a it got down to Minus 19 degrees last winter and I was shocked and amazed that all my dusty miller survived and looked gorgeous this summer. I'm hoping for a repeat next year! On the seed pack I got from Johnny's it said tender perennial in zones 8-10! I'm still amazed they lived through MINUS 19! Jill
your projects sound so simple and lovely until you start. then it's before we do this, I'll have to do that. then a little clean up, then out into the garden for a few stems, then to the garage for tools, containers, supplies, then feed the chickens. in the end, it looks simple and lovely, and one would think it just grew out of the pots. amazing
Hey Laura is wearing boots!!!😂. I love the non fussy way of transplanting Laura has. A let’s see what happens kind of approach appreciated. Glad the chickens got some of the kale. And a pumpkin platter! Yum
Those are some spoiled chickens!😂 Love the metal topiaries and fairy lights with the graceful greens. Cant wait to see the cabbages in your arrangements!
More beauty at your place. Your creativity abounds. I like your simplicity theme this year. I recently ordered my Christmas present to myself from your store. Felco cutter, Felco gloves and a Garden Answer hoodie. They arrived very quickly, and I love them all and will get a lot of use out of them. Every time I see Laura using her large red knee saver pad, I think it may be something you may wish to add to your store. Thank you for your videos and inspiration.
Laura...your planters turned out so nice. I am a very simple-loving person, and who doesn't love lights at Christmas?? I will say, too, even if you think this is weird...that I enjoy watching the shots where you are working with yourself. :o) My workload this past month has been just mad-crazy busy, and December isn't looking any easier, but you've motivated me to just put the work aside this Saturday, and let everyone know that the office and everything else is closed this weekend because I am doing some badly needed clean up and decorating.
Fall really did stretch out this year in Georgia also. But the colors were the best ever. Didn't have to make a trip up to the mountains to enjoy scenery, it was everywhere you went. It's good not to feel rushed. My goodness look at what all of you gave done already. It all looks so Magical.
I made myself giggle when the "First Laura" @ 14:20 walked behind the gator, and then "Second Laura" walked up to the gator... I imagined her to be startled by the "First Laura" popping out at her! 🤣 I love the way the editing is done in your videos! Bravo to all for such imaginative content from start to finish♡ (p.s. the balcony area is stunning!♡)
I too love that type of editing that they do. I find myself daydreaming about actually having a "second Cathy" to help with my gardening workload, LOL!!
Enjoyed seeing you pot up the cabbage and Dusty Miller. Many of us don’t have your resources to toss recently purchased plants. It will be educational to see if the plants live or are reused. Thanks.
Awwww Benjamin is sooo fast. They are just stunning Laura. You are amazing. I love being subscribed to your channel. You give me sooo much inspiration. Thank you. See you in the next one. 💙💙💜💜
I love the sphere pots!! Simple yet so pretty-- The entire area looks so warm and inviting! The pots would look cute with bigger Christmas balls nestled into them also. Funny how your taste changes over the years... sometimes you want to go all out and crazy and others-- especially as you get older-- you just want simple and cozy.
Tomorrow is December 1st, and I am wondering if your Dad put together an Advent calendar for your Mom this year? What a wonderful gift that was for your Mom last year!
Hey Laura, LOVE your channel. It was a vital part of my day throughout the pandemic and continues to provide a wonderful education. (I even installed drip irrigation in a brand new garden I built for my son and daughter-in-law's family thanks to your tutorials.) I watch on my TV through a streaming box but thought it was finally time to head to the computer to subscribe. I have been thinking about you using mayonnaise to remove evergreen sap ever since you mentioned it last year. I was a florist for years dealing with the same problem over the holidays and used baby oil. It not only removed the sap but left my hands much softer. Have an excellent holiday season!
Your orbs and greens look amazing...icing on the cake!! Your house looks so beautiful and welcoming....I love it so much. Seeing Benjamin pop in always makes me happy !! ❤😊😊❤
GardenAnswers Morning Sweet Laura and Aaron, cleaning up fall for winter.Everything looks great , Laura.Sending my love and God's blessings to you all.Wanda In Ok Love your lights too!!! BEAUTIFUL
The way you feel about 50 degree weather is the way I feel about seeing 70 degree weather in our forecast down in Houston. What in the world. the weather is acting so strangely everywhere.
Really do love all the white lights this year - everything looks so sparkly and magical. I wouldn't have tossed those White Winter Kale either. They will be perfect against the bright reds of Amaryllis.
Oh wow the pots just look so good and just beautiful. You are so ready for Christmas. So cute Benjamin helping you today. Mummy's little helper. Just love the greens n the pots just so inspiring today's video.
Those fairy lights on the spheres are so pretty! I LOVE them! I also like the fact that you didn't discard the dusty miller and cabbage plants. Hopefully they make it! My dusty miller stays out in my garden year round in the PNW.
I love how you utilize your resources. Save the plants over in pots to reuse, giving things away to family or friends, feeding left over produce to the chickens or Bethany’s pigs. 👍💚💚💚

Merry Christmas from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 🎄

I have always loved those spheres! Seeing them is like finding a long lost friend!!!!!!
Laura needs to sell these spheres on her website. I even like the one at her Mom's house better.
The tote container was a stroke of genius Laura. Your love of animals and all of nature warms my heart!
The magic of Christmas lights. Looks enchanting. Love the clear lights this year.

I can't wait to see all the lights in one video.😊❤
Everything is looking so festive at your house. I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice. I love all the white lights.

The use of the spheres brings another touch of elegance and fun to that area. Glad you brought them back.

Wow. The shot at night shows such a fairytale transformation!
Your home is magical with all the Christmas on! I bet your kids feel so excited ❤🌲🎁
I love being able to see these videos earlier. Might we be blessed with a video of your indoor christmas decor this year ? I hope so ! ❤😊❤
I have the time change. So this is my shower time for work. I always start the video and finish later in the day as I get time. I hate the time change. Glad you benefit though.
@@terrihart2133she’s probably talking about being a member. One of the perks is early videos. Why pay for that? Makes no sense to me!
Laura, everything in. The big container looks so green, lush and fresh and here I am just sitting, like I don't have nothing to do, my house is torn upside down. Still trying to get it all Christmased up. Wonderful video.
