Are you still reading this?? If so, type "I'M BATMAN" in the comments! - Фільми й анімація
I would have loved to see the part of the movie where Batman's painting the bridge, just humming idly to himself and messing around with different voices.
If it were a Marvel movie, then for sure after the end credits. xD
"Because I'm Batman!!!!"
Would he be singing "du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh du nuh" the whole time?
Maybe he had Lucius do it.
😂😆🤣
all of those questions can be answered with one statement
"because I'm batman"
YESSSSSS
Childish answer ever.
👌👌
W
Hishe ftw
The reason nobody connected Batman's and Wayne's deaths was because a lot of people died that day
NeonTime There was no point for Batman to fake his death. Just pointless
If he hadn't faked his death how the hell would he have got that normal life which Alfred wanted for him
So Bruce Wayne read the script?
Does anyone what happened at the premiere of the movie?
Hello I'm asking a question.
Michael Caine - "my cocaine". (Hahahahahahahaha!)
Omg I figured this out from your comment. ROFL 😂😂
HOW DID THEY EVEN COME UP WITH THAT??? 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard 😂😂😂😂😂
That's how you say it in Britain
@@mediabymario It's a saying from the movie with Silvester Stalone and Michael Caine. it was 30 or so years ago, it's called "Payback." Michael Caine kept asking where is "Muye CoKaInE?"
Answer of all questions: Because he is Batman
Yep
+Fərman Quliyev how did he get back into gotham? well he managed to travel the world before without any money and no sneaking skills in batman begins. So why do people have trouble believing that he did it again? this time it would be even easier because he has sneaky skills
+Trevor Thornley congratulations that was a nerdjustify I never heard before
Are you being serious or sarcastic LAL?
I'm glad that HISHE fans are everywhere.
The final shooting script features several deleted/extended scenes not found in the film. Most are "character moments" though some also clarify details of the plot. They include:
A longer opening scene and introduction to Bane, where the character gives a speech espousing his ideology which echos that of Ra's Al Guhl in Batman Begins (2005);
A longer speech by the Mayor, explaining the powers of the Dent Act and an elaborate police search for Batman which drove Bruce Wayne into exile;
A scene at Wayne Manor where the Congressman tells Foley that he's next in line for the role of Police Commissioner, setting up the conflict between Gordon and Foley and Foley's obsession with arresting Batman for the murder of Harvey Dent;
A conversation between Miranda & Daggett where she refers to the false power of his wealth, hinting at her true identity as Talia;
A conversation between the two thugs that capture Commissioner Gordon where they debate killing him before taking him to Bane (explaining how Gordon learned Bane's name)
A scene at Wayne Enterprises where Miranda warns Lucius Fox that Daggett is trying to take control of the company;
A longer scene of Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox at the Applied Sciences warehouse. Fox gives Wayne the special leg brace which allows him to walk again. Their conversation also establishes that while the Applied Sciences equipment and weaponry is kept "off the books," the warehouse is not. This explains how Bane knows the location of the armory, as its location had not changed since the events of Batman Begins (2005);
A longer conversation between Batman and Gordon in the hospital. Gordon warns Batman that the truth about Harvey Dent will eventually be uncovered sending the city into upheaval;
A scene between Selina and Jen at their apartment implying they are both prostitutes, and that Selina is instructing Jen how to be a thief to get out of the hooker lifestyle;
Scenes of Bruce Wayne trailing Selina to Miranda Tate's costume party;
Bruce testing the leg brace in the Batcave, explaining to Alfred how it works to match the muscle patterns of his uninjured leg;
A much longer scene outside the stock exchange and a lengthy chase scene between Bane, the police and Batman where they race around Gotham. The trimming of these scenes accounts for the somewhat abrupt day-to-night shift in the final film;
An argument in the Batcave between Bruce and Alfred revealing that Bruce bought up all the land and homes surrounding Wayne Manor to prevent anyone from seeing him coming and going as Batman;
An extended, much more heated confrontation between Bruce and Alfred. Alfred threatens to leave Wayne Manor if Bruce continues as Batman and Bruce argues that since Rachel Dawes's death, Batman is his only reason to live. Alfred confesses that he burned Rachel's letter and lied about her choosing to marry Bruce. Bruce accuses Alfred of betrayal before Alfred gives his speech about protecting Bruce's life, which does appear in the final film;
A longer conversation between Bruce, Miranda & Fox discussing the reactor and Dr. Pavel;
An extended conversation between Bruce & Blake where Blake warns Bruce that others will eventually figure out Batman's true identity. Blake also jokingly gives Bruce cash for cab fare.
A longer scene in Gordon's hospital room. Gordon orders Foley to focus on capturing Bane, not Batman, then promotes Blake from beat cop to detective.
A slightly longer love scene between Bruce and Miranda where she explains her scar--the same as Bane's--resulted from a mistake in her past;
A speech by Bane when he delivers Bruce to the Pit Prison, explaining how hope is the cause of despair;
A scene of Blake telling Gordon and Foley that Bane may have killed Batman. Foley then apologizes to Blake for not listening to him sooner.
A conversation between Blake and Gordon where Blake plots out all of Daggett's construction work on a map of Gotham City before he confronts the construction workers;
A much extended scene of Bane storming Blackgate Prison. Bane burns a picture of Harvey Dent and explains that Dent became the villain Two-Face after his injuries and encourages the city's poor to attack the wealthy and powerful before he destroys Blackgate, releasing all the inmates;
A brief scene of Selina escaping Blackgate;
An expanded conversation in the Pit between Bruce, his Prisoner caretaker and the blind prison doctor establishing that Bruce's back is -not- broken, but that he has a dislocated vertebrae. The Prisoner also explains the significance of Bane's mask as a painkiller delivery system;
A scene of Bruce gathering supplies in the Pit as he prepares to climb out without the rope;
A brief conversation between Fox and Bruce establishing that he purposely hid The Bat under camouflage on a rooftop instead of the Batcave to prevent Bane from finding it;
A series of extended or omitted scenes showing how the city reacts to the burning Bat-signal on Gotham Bridge. Most significantly, Bane's army of mercenaries begins to panic and is demoralized;
An extended battle outside City Hall. Bane orders his men not to attack Batman, determined to fight him alone;
An extensive flashback sequence after Batman defeats Bane. Bane confesses that his devotion to Ra's Al Guhl stems from the League of Shadows rescuing him from the pit. A flashback scene then shows Ra's Al Guhl training Bane, who he has provided with a crude prototype mask to numb his pain;
A scene of Talia openly taking charge of the League of Shadows to form a convoy to detonate the neutron bomb. She then floods the reactor core and, as in the film, Fox tries to escape, though even the finished scenes of fox in the film occur earlier in the script version;
A longer argument between Blake and the Army blockade on Gotham Bridge. Blake argues with the commanding officer, trying to convince him that Batman has returned and battle has broken out in the city streets.
In the script, after Batman harnesses the bomb to The Bat, he's never seen again--The Bat simply flies out to sea and the bomb detonates. The scene of Fox and the technicians examining the autopilot of The Bat then follows, with Fox realizing that Batman had ejected before the bomb detonated, and that Bruce Wayne must have survived the explosion.

I know a lot of you won't read this because it is very long but it sort of fills some plot holes.
so do these scenes exhist on the bluray? i never bothered buying the movie cuz it disappointed me so much. Or is this just info that was in the script and never fully shot and printed?
They were shot but were left out of the theatrical or dvd/blu ray release
Sounds like the full length film with all these scenes would be 3.5 hours long, which would be awesome and would rank this film up near the Dark Knight. I say they should've cut some subplot with Foley, he was pretty unnecessary and the police who chased Batman can be just a random guy, I can buy that.
Galen Marek I think that these holes can be filled in by our imagination. For example, the one where Bruce leaves 'The Bat' before being captured.
The so-called "plot hole" that drives me the craziest, is when people say "how did he get back with no money?" That's all he did for YEARS after he left gotham, wander the earth with no resources! Why should he "suddenly" have trouble getting back?!
But then if people can't understand that he stayed retired for 8 years because he could do more good by staying away, or that his fight in these movies was specifically with the "gotham mafia" rather than the idea of crime as a whole; then you can't really expect them to understand much.
BRUCE WAYNE WAS BATMAN?!
Fubukio no Janet Jackson was Batman
@Adam Hovey No.I dont think there was a Simpsons episode about this comment.

this episode introduced me to Red Letter Media 4 years ago and I'm sooooooooo thankful to Honest Trailers for that :D

Same, I understood him fine in the movie tho, yet here I couldn't lol
I don't get it. It's not hard to understand Bane at all. Do people need their hearing checked?

Bane was different in the comics...BIG DEAL. I thought he was great in Rises. I really enjoyed that movie, but the best one is The Dark Knight.
Rises does have its plot holes and try hard moments, but its still a great movie. Beats me why comic purists like one movie but totally hate another....
Okay...but not for everyone. Many people enjoyed it. I really did, dispite the dumb plot holes I concentrated on the characters and what revelations they discovered about themselves. And what Batman had to do in the end was pretty awesome even if it wasnt totally well excecuted.
SO WHAT?! Its the acting that is the most important thing, not necessarily the color and accent of the person
Thats because Heath Ledger and Liam Neeson were so good in their roles people forgot how different they probably were from the comics..of course I dont know that because Ive never read a single Marvel or DC comic..not into that sort of thing.
Heath Ledger was absolutely BRILLIANT as Joker...thats obvious.
there are a lot of changes...and sometimes I am fine with those...sometimes.
Face it the movie sucked
I rather want see Bane like in the Arkham Origin, before he transform to Titan.
It just so hard to understand this Bane saying.
"How is it possible that Bruce Wayne completely healed his broken back in less than three months? Didn't he need a...doC...Tor?" lol
The movie never said his back was broken. That happened in the comics. It seems to me that what happened is that one of the vertebrae in his back was dislocated and then put back in place.
😂😆🤣
@@matthewpatrick7263 just like putting back a dislocated hand.
4:13, "Bruce Wayne was Batman?!?!" Lmao!!!
😂🤣😆
If Talia wanted to kill Bruce and destroy Gotham, why did she have Bane lock him away in the Middle East and then sat on their asses for 3 months waiting for him to come back?
I laughed so hard at the end where the two guys are going over plot holes. My back was hurting I laughed so hard. Well done!
welcome to red letter media... it is usually like that

True
I actually had no trouble understanding him. I needed the closed captions for about everyone else though.
I had no idea RLM and Honest Trailers worked together a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
Yeah somehow I missed this
Internet call this movie out for being terrible and disappointing yet in reality it is one of the best reviewed superhero movies of all time? There's a significant difference between flaws and nitpicking.
You want flaws? Convoluted story. Batman still using the ridiculous voice. Bane sounding hilarious. Badly thought out writing such as the entire police force going into the sewers. Robin figuring out Wayne is Batman just by the look in his eyes. Bane and the other villain going down anticlimatically. Terrible fight choreography.
I agree with fearofthemeji. This movie would be over in five seconds if they just called superman
critics thought it was the weakest of the trilogy too. but what am I saying if critics called it dogshit you would be on here going "Screw the critics!"
It was still highly rated because almost everyone today still rides on Christoher Nolan's dick. TDKR is such a boring, slow paced movie; Yeah I know plots are plots but this one was building up so slow without any entertaining action sequences or climax that puts me on the edge of my seat, I thought I was going in for an epic conclusion of TDK trilogy but instead got a cluttered mess.
FearoftheMeiji
TBH, the Fight scenes were ALWAYS the weakest aspects of the Dark Knight films.. but everything else was always stellar and amazing i made up for that.. but yeah, this is BANE we're talking about. And the more i watch the fight scenes the more Meh it becomes
That last question is pretty explainable; Bane's army was killing tons of rich people Bruce Wayne is rich the end.
Also he didn't tell anyone his secret identity John Blake figured it out.
good point.
Give it up the trilogy peaked with the Dark Knight.....
Jacob Prayer
1. No it didn't.
2. What does that have to do with what I said?
+ReaperBlaze76 you're trying to justify one of the numerous plot holes.
Seriously? Fat Bane, who sounds like he is talking through a fish bowl into a Mc Donald's drive trough. I'm not going to bother to explain why DKR sucked. This trailer basically sums up my thoughts. As great as the Dark Knight was, the Dark Knight Rises equally sucked.
Dude will you get a life and leave me alone? I get it you don't like the movie that's not my problem.
There's something seriously wrong with you if you can't accept the simple fact the movie was good and stop trying to push your own opinions on to people.
I actually really liked this movie. Like, REALLY liked.
I loved it, I cant believe folks dislike this, but actually think suicide is passable
me too
+The beyonder agree
fuking great movie. loved it
What's wrong with you?
HOLY SHIT!! this just made me realize The honest trailers series is more than 4 years old. wow thats crazy...shit i feel old now.
Don't you mean that it's for 4 year olds?
4?
8.
Errr…
i have to say i felt like i was the only person on earth walking out of the cinema thinking this movie makes no sence and pointing out all these facts to everyone i knew but everyone saying it was an amazing movie that there was nothing wrong with it
The problem is people enjoying a movie/franchise, and as a result, refusing to acknowledge that it has any faults whatsoever.
Wayne Kelso I don't know man. Almost every movie has mistakes and faults, but to be completely honest, I enjoyed this movie throughtly.
Agreed mate. I loved the film despite it's flaws.
My problem with this movie was that even though it had several flaws and over hype every other movie released in 2012 was "worse than dark night rises" for some fucking reason.
People are just hating on this movie cause other people are hating on it. I literally see the same comment every 5 comments. ''Batman Begins & Dark Knight were amazing but TDKR sucks'' TDKR was good imo even though I dont agree with how Bane died & that he wasnt a hispanic luchador. Everything else was good the whole trilogy is a realistic view on Batman.
"Bruce Wayne was Batman?!" that was so f#*!ing awesome!
"Starring Kristen Stewart's mouth" that got me 🤣
i hate to say it, but the RLM outtakes were so much funnier than the entirety of footage that you used and the commentary.
i don't dislike this video, but damn it, RLM's outtake reel is unbelievable.
It's so dense.
bane cuts down batman like butter. batman really is pretty useless.
It's gonna be great.
+Dann Benn It's gonna be great.
+Daniel Williams every image has so many things going on at once.
Rises would've served better as a 4th film in the series with the 3rd film continuing the Joker plot. It's unfortunate Heath Ledger died.
How can they continue the Joker plot without the Joker. They can't bring Heath Ledger back to life, and recasting would have been a terrible idea. Absolutely no viewer would have been happy about it. Had Heath Ledger not passed away, they most likely would have included the Joker in the next movie.
Enignogma Fuck. Did you really require that I have to mention Heath Ledger.. or could have it just gone without saying? No shit that's what I was talking about without mentioning it.
TheSWFuniverse Don't be such an over-sensitive little bitch.
what "continuing the Joker plot" ??? the Joker was simply stopped by Batman at the end of the Dark Knight, period
DO YOU REALIZE THAT THEY WERE PLANNING TO, BUT THE ACTOR FOR JOKER DIED?!?!!?!????!?!?? man, talk about insincere....
You missed one:
"How can the Gotham City Police rush headfirst at Bane and his men in the finale, wielding nothing but melee weapons, when Bane's men have machine guns and would have just mowed everybody down in seconds?"
Seriously, that would've been a fucking meatgrinder. I knew I was watching a kinda dumb movie, but that entire finale sequence completely broke my suspension of disbelief so hard that I started openly laughing in the cinema while I was watching it.
And it's STILL better than Jurassic World.
The question is, how does it hold up compared to Jurassic World 3?
Yea that part is really fucking stupid haha I hate watching it
I'm gonna have to disagree with Honest Trailers on this movie.
"Why did he reveal identity to complete strangers?" - Because Robin already figured it out
"Conduct background checks on maids and board members" - He actually does after that scene, he hasn't run the company for 8 years so why would he do background check on board members?
"Use ineffective gadgets" - They're only ineffective against other shadow legion members
"Why did Bruce Wayne show up in french cafe after being pronounced dead?" - Because he wanted to fulfill Alfred's dream
"How did Batman eject and swim to survive if he only had 5 seconds? - He fixed the autopilot so he must've jumped out way before 5 seconds but to make us think he died they showed a shot with 5 seconds remaining
"Didn't anyone think it was weird Bruce Wayne and Batman died on same day?" - Lots of people died on that day, I think it was believable. Besides, not many people knew him very well and the ones that did knew his identity.
Dont loose time with Suicide Squad fans
Thank you, that was great!
Nice explanation. I’m not a fan of the movie but you explained it very well.
Yes exactly mate
Great to have u
I mean we can't expect everyone to understand NOLAN movie that easily😂
Nobody said Bruce Wayne died on the same day as Batman. The city was under lockdown for 3 months in which the crazy and poor ran a muck against the rich and powerful. Bruce Wayne could have died anytime in those 3 months and only after the chaos ended did his surviving friends have a chance to mourn him
Let's take a look at some of the supposed 'Plot Holes' in this film.. "Why does no one notice that Bruce wayne is in a Cafe when he's supposed to be dead?" Okay, so, what would the Media focus more on? The fact that a Nuke was detonated right next to Gotham, or some not very rich guy died? The first one. Also, "Why does Bane keep the city alive for 3 months? Why doesn't he just detonate the nuke?" Okay, Bane wants people to feel the pain that he felt in that hole, the pain of hope, that's why he uses the hole, it is such an effective torture, the fact that freedom is so tantalisingly close, but impossible to achieve, he doesn't only want to end Gotham, he wants to crush them.
TheJoshForce "Why does no one notice that Bruce wayne is in a Cafe when he's supposed to be dead?"
To add: He's in Italy. He's well known in Gotham City, but nothing states he's famous around the world.
You didn't address batman's back being broken and him being better 3 months later with no doctor. Even with a doctor and surgeries that's not really possible. How bout him wasting hours pouring gasoline on a building in the shape of a bat signal. How about the world's dumbest plan of sending nearly every single police officer down in the tunnel... Explain
gimpfantasyleague
short answer? magic.
no literally the DC universe has magic everywhere, but the dark knight trillogy wanted to step back and make it a darker/ more gritty experience
but many have put forward that the pit/prison place functions like a lazarus pit or may in fact be one. and these have super magic healing abilities and its side effects madness and violence
Gimp : You know the thing he did with the cord in the cell ? That's how he healed his 'broken back'. Except that it's not really a broken back. Most certainly Bane caused his spine damage and two or more vertebrae moved, creating something blocking his back. It happens. And it must be VERY painful.
gimpfantasyleague his back was not broken there was part of it that was misplaced and then put back into place.
I think you guys perfectly defined everyone's thought on this movie, it's awesome when you first see it, disappointing when you actually think about and see it again, and the franchise clearly peaked with The Dark Knight, which was so good the only logical direction they could was South
^ Too right.
This is what happened with Terminator, and Star Wars, so many trilogies.
It's amazing how people are overly harsh on Dark Knight Rises even though 95% of the comic book movies that came after it including that of MCU are lower in quality than TDKR yet doesn't get anywhere near the scrutiny.
Guys, if you wanna make fun of something for not getting its facts straight, make sure you get yours right.
Bruce didn't show-up at a "French" café. He showed up at an Italian café seeing that Florence is not in France.
Since that was never specified in the movie, they wouldn't say that! xD Also it is possible that they made that mistake deliberately in the video as a joke, but I rather doubt that many people would catch that.
"Kristen Stewart's mouth "
Oh my god!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Batman and Bruce Wayne dying on the exact same day is not that revealing. For one, dozens and dozens of rich people were murdered/executed during Bane's reign. Secondly, Bruce Wayne was not as famous after disappearing for so long, so more attention would be on the rich, more famous Gothamites (or, you know, the nuke that went off over the bay). Third, in the chaos that filled Gotham, it could be easily explained that he was murdered by some random criminal. Fourth, tons of people died on the day of the battle, so he could have been one of them. Fifth, the public could never know what exact day Bruce Wayne died on - maybe they just waited to have the funeral until the terrorists had left the city. I could continue, but I feel it's unnecessary.
Nicely said.
***** Oh definitely. I guess the people who made Honest Trailers have never fallen in love...?
Ryan Cora 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5: Bruce is the CEO of the largest company in Gotham. Given what was going on at the time, people would have either been interested in his whereabouts or too preoccupied with the lock down. In my experience journalists don't rest until they have the full story, and most of them have a sixth sense for a story that doesn't coagulate.. 3: Neither Bane nor Talia would have let some random criminal kill Batman/Bruce. These guys are executing the big wigs left and right while Bruce was shanked by a mugger? Normal civilians maybe, but I don't think any of the other rich folk of Gotham went out like that. I imagine most of them held up in some secret bunker or something. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.
Adonan the stoic No... He had disappeared from public eye for nearly eight years. I don't know what your experience is, but I doubt it has anything to do with supercriminal terrorists threatening your city of two million with a nuclear bomb. 3: Um, I dunno. In the beginning of Bane's reign, it showed lots of the rich being murdered, I doubt that they would have time to regulate every murder. Also, some of the rich were killed in court. Bane and Talia, of course, would have given _no_ attention to Bruce because they knew he was gone, so it _would_ be more reasonable to assume he just died than that he was Batman.
Eight years? When the heck did that happen? I thought he was gone three months. Secondly, I think you're underestimating Bane and Talia. They know what Bruce is capable of so they would have kept one eye on the destruction of Gotham and one on Bruce's return, and by, "in my experience" I meant from what I've seen and heard over my life. Bane and Talia didn't just plan on holding cutting off Gotham from the rest of the world, they planned on destroying it. This would have ended one way or another, and one way or another someone is going to be to noisy for their own good.

Haha in your dreams. It made less than Iron Man 3
"My cocaine" ahahahahaha
This video, back when i first saw it, was the birth of my love of RedLetterMedia
The Dark Knight Rises is the Return of the Jedi of Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. It's flawed and not as good as the first two, but is still pretty solid and ends the trilogy on a high note.
But... But Return of the Jedi followed a logical progression of events. Dark Knight Rises just has stuff happen without any kind of explanation or logic to it. It's a REALLY weak movie.
I'll give you that, but I still think The Dark Knight Rises is pretty good despite its flaws.
AwesomeHairGuy96
And I think it's easily the worst live-action Batman film to date. At least the '66 film and Batman & Robin can be liked ironically. Dark Knight Rises is just so oblivious to how stupid it is.
Are you kidding me? The only way someone can like Adam West Batman is due to nostalgia alone, otherwise it's a grueling viewing experience. And as for the Schumacher films, those films are abominations to the character of Batman and are completely unwatchable, especially Batman & Robin. You mean to tell me that The Dark Knight Rises is worse than bat-nipples?! Really?
Miroslav Gnjatovic
Yes, yes it was. Because Batman & Robin doesn't try to pretend that it's any less stupid than it is. Dark Knight Rises thinks it's intelligent, which makes it bad in the bad way, as opposed to bad in the "Look at him and laugh" way.
And, aneurysm-inducing movie aside, the Adam West TV series was actually pretty good. It was really bright and Silver Age-ish, but some of the plans those villains hatched were pretty diabolical. Hell, Vincent Price's character figured out Batman's secret identity through logical deduction, and UNLIKE Dark Knight Rises, it doesn't make Batman look like a idiot, rather it makes Vincent Price look even more awesome, were that possible.
So, no, I don't like Adam West's movie, but I'm a huge fan of the TV series in all its goofy, Silver Age glory.
Clearly peaked with the Joker indeed... May him rest in peace. ;_ ;
You know its called The Dark Knight trilogy not the Joker trilogy, Right?
The reason why this movie has so many plotholes and seems rushed is probably because Christopher Nolan didn't even want to do it. Especially after Heath Ledger's death. He had ideas for two movies and then was practically pushed into doing a third one, becauss Warner Brothers needed his name on the entire trilogy.
That is literally too stupid for words. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Chris Nolan was "pushed" into making a third Batman movie. If he didn't want to make it, He wouldn't have made it, simple as that.
Spencer Malley There were never any plans for the third movie the way we saw it and he wanted to leave it at two movies after Heath died. When I say pushed, I obviously don't mean that he was forced to do it, but he was reluctant and Warner Brothers most likely solved the problem with looots of money.
Evelina999 If he really did want to leave it at two movies, than he would've left it at two movies. If Burton was able to get out of directing a third movie, than so could Nolan if he had really wanted too.
Again, there is nothing to support this assumption.
Spencer Malley
www.quora.com/Did-Christopher-Nolan-originally-intend-for-the-Joker-to-appear-in-The-Dark-Knight-Rises
“After The Dark Knight, it was a much quicker phone call from the studio asking, ‘What about the third? Chris really had to think about whether or not he wanted to do that; we were very happy with the way we had tied up The Dark Knight.” Emma Thomas, his wife.
+Evelina999 Yeah that article says nothing about WB offering him money to return for a sequel or even that he didn't want to do a sequel to TDK. just that he didn't want to return until he felt he had put together the best story he could to finish his trilogy.
The fact that he came back is pretty clear proof that he wanted to do this movie.
The fact tha
You guys are AWESOME for bringing in RedLetterMedia
Just found this channel, I cant stop laughing at these trailers !
PRINCE-ASS DIARIES. I f@#4n died lol
Wow nobody ever asks these questions about Marvel movies, even when the villains dont have any good motives
People expected more out of this trilogy's finale. Marvel has weak villains, that's just a universal fact.
+Evelina999 Except for Loki, Ultron, Winter Soldier, Kingpin, Purple Man and Zemo.
Aģents Smits Loki's pretty good, Ultron was shit, Winter Soldier isn't even a villain anymore, Kingpin was shit, Purple Man and Zemo aren't a part of the MCU yet.
Evelina999 Ultron was good being anti Stark but shit being anti Pym, Winter Soldier was villain in Captain America The Winter Soldier, Kingpin is awesome Daredevil villain, Purple Man (Jessica Jones) and Zemo (Captain America Civil War) are part of MCU.
The MCU includes the ABC and Netflix shows.
The VO guy sounds like he's trying to do a Batman impression.
He is. They do this for all the Batman movies. (And The Avengers, for some reason)
No that's his voice. He has done this for like 10 other honest trailers and even came back in some recent ones
Carl Siemens he is
4:24 i cracked so hard at My Cocaine XD
"Why does Batman talk to Catwoman in his Batman voice when she knows he's Bruce Wayne?"
The same thing happens in Dark Knight, when Batman speaks with Lucius Fox and he's of course aware that he's Bruce Wayne. He uses his Batman voice there. But of course, nobody questions The Dark Knight.
He's in character. If you didn't complain on the Dark Knight, you can't complain on Rises.
I think he has some voice modulator in his suit
2021 and I finally understood the Bruce Willis reference at the end of the video 🤣😬
"Stand atop random buildings that are too dangerous to balance on..." !!!
Okay! Miss you in the neighbourhood.... Spiderman!!! XD
that "my cocaine" line was funny as hell.
wouldn't he need a doc-TORRR??? lmao
+ChiGuy251 Why?
The movie never said his back was broken. That happened in the comics. It seems to me that what happened is that one of the vertebrae in his back was dislocated and then put back in place.
I love the redlettermedia guys, but to be fair the Dark Knight has just as many plotholes. Like how did three ferrys depart without anyone noticing the dozens of explosives on board in the open? How did the bus at the beginning of the movie get away when there were SO MANY witnesses? How did Batman digitally recreate a fingerprint on the bullet? Why didn't they blame the death of Harvey Dent on the Joker instead if Batman?
Not hating on the Dark Knight or anything, its still great
All valid questions bro
Well to be fair about Harvey Dent, everyone was led to believe that Batman pushed Harvey Dent off the ledge.
Joker had an alibi. He was already arrested. Also the building was surrounded. So it was either Batman, Jim Gordon or Gordon's son.
The voice, I can't 😂
love the "starring" part in each of them...
I wonder if Nolan is capable to do a movie without ambiguous ending.
Are you from Finland ? :D
Vilma Valtamo Sieltähän minä.
(starring) "KRISTEN STEWART'S MOUTH "I can't help laugh out loud at that part.
Honestly? Because he's Batman.
#triggered
Basically, this is an amazing movie that was often totally implausible and had almost nothing to do with the source material (aside from the fact that almost everything that happens references something from the comics). I really could care less, though, it's still an absolutely amazing movie, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
(Well, okay, maybe one or two minor things.)
Its a terrible movie. It has nothing to do with the comics. And even if it did, that wouldn't excuse the fact that it was just lackluster popcorn for the masses
frozenkiller7 Dude, I've been steadily consuming batman comics since before I could walk and that doesn't bother me even a little. Although, as I said, it makes subtle nods to the comics all over the place. It's one thing if you don't like it, but choosing to do something different from the comics doesn't make it a bad movie. It's consistent to itself, and that's what really matters. As for whether or not it's stupid popcorn, it would be pretty dumb of me to go into some long explanation of why I don't think it is when I don't even know why you do.
americanslime i don't think it was boring because it steered from the comics actually. I honestly like when they mix it up a little and don't give us the SAME exact thing we've been reading, watching and nerding about since we could even say the word "BATMAN" but honestly this wasn't a very good movie to me.. i didn't like the progression the 10 minutes of action and the fact that through the majority of the beginning it was kind of a snore-fest. Now "Dark-Knight" was awesome. Had me on the edge through most of the movie because for once in this trilogy they made u REALLY interested in the villain. you couldnt even care less about his back story. he was just awesome and entertaining. Bane sucked in my opinion :/. But Twas a good movie just wasn't WOW good or "i'm gonna watch it again" good.
prophetjamz94 Same as the other guy, I can't really argue with your opinion when I don't actually know _why_ you thought Bane was a poor villain, or that the beginning of the movie was boring.
What the hell does the amount of comics you've read have to do with the actual movie? Getting rid of the fact that TDKR's Bane has nothing to do with bane, ignoring the fact that Batman has more to do with Master Chief than Batman, Forgetting about how every single character or interpretation is just barely the same as the comics were, that doesn't excuse the film for being generic.
But even if, even if you want to get into the "faithfulness" of the movies, you'd still be wrong. TDKR has NOTHING to do with it's source material, and the entire film series should be flat out ashamed to even call itself The Dark Knight, as if any accumulation of "realistic" and "serious" pandering to the masses can somehow save the the movies from the inevitable comparison to THE best Batman story ever told. This is not the Dark Knight. This is not THE Dark Knight. And this CERTAINLY is not the Dark Knight Rises
Its not even a bad movie, its just painfully stale. It goes through the motions we all expect. And that's why people love it. That's why now in 2014 there are so many "fans" of Batman. That's why we have "real fans" who have to somehow prove their worth to the franchise by saying how many comic books they read. It doesn't matter. The Dark Knight Rises is only successful because it panders to the most basic denominator
"my cocaine" killed me
That question about the french cafe, it was Alfred's fantasy, it was brought up near the start of the movie
It was explained in the first movie about the Batman voice. It's a voice modulator chip. When he was in the hospital with Commissioner Gordon in the mask, he didn't talk in the voice.
The main problem of this movie is that it came out after The Dark Knight, which is arguably the best superhero movie ever made to date, if not a classic in it's own right.
nah, it's good, but there's not so much 'Superhero' in that movie... it's more like a crime-thriller with some guy dressing up like Batman... and the best Joker ever... something like that...
Of course it's a crime-thriller, it's a Batman movie. He's a detective, that dresses like a bat, uses high tech gadgets, and fights crime. Pretty sure it's full of "Superhero" goodness, being that it is so true to the superhero it's portraying, as well as the villain.
Miccollo sure, you're right; the thing is, that a SUPERHERO movie in my opinion is about people with superpowers... anyway: I'm a big batman-fan and he's definitely a hero... the one the nerds need... or deserve... or whatever...
Batman singlehandedly stops a madman from plunging Gotham city into chaos, three times if you count the first and third films in the cinematic universe. I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty super to me.
No offense, but that movies overrated. It's amazing yeah, but it's not the best superhero movie to date.
To all your questions there is only one answer "because he is Batman "
I love this voice even more than the other voice, and other voice is pretty great!! Absolutely hilarious voice :D
... though it could have done without the two random guys talking about it in dumb monotone voices towards the end. That was a bad idea.
Still better movie than MoS and BvS together
+mr stroke Haha.
***** lel
Mr. Unknown Nope...MoS and. BvS were amazing
Mr. Unknown Take it easy kid. I personally was more entertained by thise movies but this movie is amazing too.
I said "NOPE" to what you said about this being better than BvS and MoS TOGETHER.
Don't open your mouth if you don't know what you are talking about kid :)
Marcopolo005 exactly
biggest plot hole in this entire movie - Alfred leaving. Alfred Pennyworth would NEVER do that. EVER. It's totally out of character. After losing Bruce multiple times, losing Jason, almost losing Barbara, Dick losing his memory, being kidnapped by the Joker multiple times, losing Damian, almost losing Tim, getting Jason back and him being evil...if he didn't leave for that, he's not gonna leave.
@Babylonian Cowboy not for this. Who leaves their kid because "you're in too much danger"?
Michael Cane, My Cocaine... I see what you did there.
haha, i didn't figure it out myself
i bursted with laughter on this one
I did not understand until I said his name out loud several times...hahahahahahahhahaah XD
"I'm worried for man of steel now" If only he knew
"Didn't he need a... DOCTOR?"
Powerful O's there.
This is Nolan's batman, he wanted it to be more realistic and dark, which is why i like it, it works. How stupid would it be if you see bane is fighting batman, and bane is a giant wearing a bane mask with pipes all over his back, have you seen how stupid bane looks in the 1997's batman & robin? Okay it works in the comics but not on the big screen and nolan did a good job converting that.
DUDE! PLEASE SAY "Duff Man! Ooh Yeah!"!!
Whoever's voice this is..... I wished they never got rid of him. He was so funny.
Can't wait for these guys to shred Batman vs. Superman
Apparently everyone forgot that little clip where the scientists LITERALLY TELL LUCIUS FOX THAT BRUCE WAYNE FIXED THE AUTOPILOT. Also, Talia never killed Bruce because the point was to torture him with the death of Gotham. Also, Bruce Wayne becomes a shut-in because Batman is Gotham's Most Wanted after the Dark Knight. The back injury was stupid, though. That's the biggest valid nitpick of this movie.
Well Talia did want to kill him but villain cliche(which I'm fine with) of torturing him before killing him came first
+DaFishMan26 What about how he got to the city from halfway across the world?
+TheOneAndOnlyNAB he's batman
+DaFishMan26 Actually the back injury *isn't* a valid criticism, because the movie specifically explains that he slipped a disc, and did not break his spine at all.
+DaFishMan26 ''The back injury was stupid, though'' In this movie was awfully portrayed yes, but didn't you now that's the greatest moment in the dark knight comic and one of the most epic moments in Batmans history? so explain better dude
You definitely had a right to worry about Man of Steel.
you're only saying that because Superman is played by a Brit.
He really did that movie was bad
Aderranyth the Wanderer
ditto 4 marvel.
+Bruce Wayne. No, the movie was shit, buddy. Sorry. No amount of you being angry over the internet or blaming Marvel fans will change that.
I agree with tony lol. why are you so mad over a movie? the film critic reviews agree that the movie was awful. did you also think the ghostbusters reboot was amazing?
Princ-ass Diaries!!! Best part of TDKR!!
I think this movie is great tbh love the ending.
yep, it give justice and peace to bruce wayne
If you think this movie is great then you've never seen a great movie.
Ben Brennan well I disagree I sort of have done a degree studying this movie so I kinda think u r wrong cuz my teacher has seen a lot of great movies?
This movie is great every scene of this movie is a character development and Chris Bale is an awesome actor
A Mondal I agree completely
Ugh... The old honest trailers voice...
+LSCGaming I thought they was trying to intimate the Batman voice or something lol
rich369963 me too. This is worse than nails on a chalkboard.
Makes me appreciate the new awesome voice man even more.
It’s supposed to be Christian bales Batman voice
Hell no I love his voice!
I don't know who doesn't love this film, it was amazing, Bane was amazing, stop mentioning Joker everytime, Heath did a good job but the movie didn't depend solely on him, i liked the first movie of the trilogy too, it had a darker tone, unlike the previous Batman movies and Nolan chose a thrilling script, it doesn't have to be copy-paste from the comics, Bale did a good job as batman, so did Ledger, Hardy and Neeson as his villians, it was the best trilogy of a superhero ever put to the big screen, even better than the whole Marvel movies. Marvel movies are fun to watch of course but they have no interesting plot whatsoever or memorable villians, and pls don't tell me you can compare Loki to Joker or Bane, + all Marvel movies depend only on CGI and visual effects, TDK trilogy on the other hand is all about storyline and lessons
I literally feel the same way about everything you just said here. I love you. No homo.
Why do NOLANITES have to criticize marvel to defend their shitty movies?
William Linares because marvel movies have more fans than real quaity movies, just like Justin Bieber has more fans than James Arthur or somebody who can actually sing, gtfo marvel peasant
No interesting villans? Hm maybe, but here's the thing: it's not about the villains, it is about the heroes. The cap, stark, Thor, even black widow and hulk are far more interesting with bigger struggles than any thing Wayne had to go through. Dead parents? Steve has a dead fucking generation
Air Siren In the first Batman Begins, Bruce needs to stop his master who taught him how to fight, he should stop a maniac who is terrorizing the whole city too, in Dark Knight he faces and extremly intelligent twisted villian like Joker who breaks him mentally, causes more panic, kills the girl he loves without being able to save her and he is forced to break his only rule, not to kill someone, furthermore the person he kills is his friend, he breaks the leg in the process and he is hated by everyone after that. in Dark Knight Rises after 7 years living alone hidden from the outside world and being hated he gets to face an even stronger enemy than him, gets his parents house burned to the ground, gets his spine broken and he then suffers in a pit which happens to be a prison while he watches how Gotham falls and criminals cause mayham, he trains with a broken leg and spine and still goes back to save Gotham only to understand that the woman he started to love was the mastermind behind all the chaos, he still gets a knife on the back but he manages to save Gotham once more playing with death when he drops the bomb.
Now pls tell me how Tony Stark or the others face such difficulties, Tony is billionare like Batman but he uses his money to have fun too, he gets drunk and acts like a stupid fuck sometimes, he likes fame and attention and his armor is pretty strong, with guns and rockets and he can fly, Captain America suffered more than the others but hey, he is an OP soldier whom steriods made him godlike, bullets can't sop him, he is fast, strong and has S.H.I.E.L.D agents who help him a lot all the time, his shield made by Tony is unstopabble too, Thor is an OP God who is literally unstoppable, he is a God, he is strong, he controls thunder and his hammes is the strongest weapon ever, he gets to rule another planet, Hulk is OP of course, he is infinitely strong because he gets stronger everytime he gets angrier, steroids made him a beast, he is a scientist and in the end, he always win.
How is Batman a God who controls thunder and has legendary weapons, how can he get angrier and stronger, how does he have a shield bulletproof to everything, is he under steroids and can stop bullets with his skin, does his armor make him shoot rockets, bullets and fly out of space, do some skilled agents or OP friends help him when he needs most? Nope, he is just a trained human without superpowers, steroids, legendary weapons or armor whose strongest weapons are his iron will and his determination.
always good to revisit the hits
if you remember in Begins, Alfred (i think it was him...) mentions that Wayne Manor was part of the underground railroad and had connecting tunnels that lead through the city and what not.... that's how he got back in...
No word on Marion Cotillard's awful death scene ??? I'm disappointed !!
Well, that goes without saying. They probably wanted to get at the stuff that wasn't as obvious with how bad it was.
Isn't that count as spoilers?
ComputerD10
It ain't a spoiler if it doesn't earn the respect to be committed to secrecy.
Dude, bane's death was even worst. Especially that cheesy line Catwoman said afterwords. Oh god it was awful.
LMAO at "growing a gross depression beard!"
I think RLM posted some outtakes for the review on their channel. Most of them undermined/answered the points and questions in the last part of the trailer.
Lol the questions part had me rolling
4:04 He didn't eject over the bay, He ejected over the city. Nolan's editing makes it seem like he's still in the Bat with 5 seconds to go but if you look closely you see shadows. Shadows caused by buildings, rapid shadows so theres plenty of nearby buildings. He ejected over the city, landed on top of a tower and let the bat use autopilot to fly out over the bay.
yes someone finnaly sed it
+TheAventadorSV lol. ok
OMG I thought I was the only one who actually knew tya
+Mr Annonymous that
+TheAventadorSV nice cover :D
I really like batman movies but its just not the same without the joker
The joker is the best ikr
They probably would've cast him if Heath ledger didn't die
jarod lechadores No i dont think The Joker would have appeared in Rises. There would be no reason for it.
Felix Bundgaard Rützou There was also no reason for Scarecrow to appear in The Dark Knight OR The Dark Knight Rises, so he probably would've had a small part during Bane's speech on top of the camo tumbler. Perhaps he was escaping from Blackgate or Arkham
No, that is just not the concept, that Nolan was doing. I am a 100 p sure that the joker would not have reappeared.
It used to be my fav movie. But, not anymore. Thank you so much 😂😂😂😂
3:14 is gold. Comic gold! :')
