@@samrey1803 True ... plus there's the question of how to pin Dent's death on the Joker in the first place - Joker was hanging upside-down at the tower and none of his goons could have killed Dent either since they 'would have been seen' escaping the perimeter set by the police.
I mean, I could easily see people not believing the Joker if he said he wasn’t involved, he’s not exactly a reliable narrator. I feel like they could’ve just said “yeah one of his unknown henchmen killed those people then escaped” I doubt that the police could be 100% certain they saw everyone entering and exiting
@@beccag2758 I mean, there's the issue of the police officer Dent did not kill - the one he simply knocked unconscious. If they'd blamed the Joker, he could've threatened her and exposed this. But ... if "the Batman" is blamed, maybe she could be convinced to go with it. At this point, it's just guesswork from my side, though.
Then Gotham would lose hope and wouldn't trust anyone even Batman if the lie exposed.
The Dark Knight really proved that Hollywood is bullshit. This was easily the best movie of 2008 (Yes even better than Slumdog Millionaire) and should have been nominated for the Oscar for Best Picture. But nope, because it's an action movie and because it's a sequel, the Academy says "fuck you and you're amazing movie" to Christopher Nolan.
So? Return of the King was an action movie and a sequel. That won Best Picture.
Boogie O'Winston and that is the only exception. And ironically, I think it was undeserving of it. Lost in Translation should have won in my opinion.

"Out of character"? Well that was just not true. They showed that Dent had an overly aggressive and sadistic side when he interrogated the henchman, and he was an emotionally vulnerable wreck after losing the one person he actually cared about. He was a very flawed person who got pushed over the edge,mit was just that the public thought and needed to think that he was perfect

Harvey Dent wasn't even a bad guy. He was a man acting out of insanity. The real Harvey dent was similar but he was not suicidal like this one was. It is nothing compared to the actual character who became cold hearted but not suicidal
I think the motive of your opinion and the people upvoting you is that you don't want to ruin the movie for yourself. You are right in what you are saying. But a guy who starts killing people who are not even responsible for his girlfriend's death by flipping a coin because he got convinced by the Joker in only few mins conversation that what happened to him and his girl was based on chance is actually a stupid idea. It is a movie and logic only sometimes exist in movies.
You cannot even touch this movie, this video is one of the shortest.

Think about this: How could they blame the Joker for Harvey's death? When Harvey died the Joker has already been captured, the building was surrounded and everyone knew that the Joker couldn't be in there. Just Harvey, Batman, Gordon and his family were there.

the score, the dialogue, the cinematography, the philosophy of the dark knight , the practical effects and lack of cgi, and two villains were all incredible. I don't think the Two-Face transformation was entirely out of character.
He was willing to abduct, handcuff and nearly shoot a guy when Rachel was threatened by the Joker and when Commissioner Gordon faked his death. The combination of listening to Rachel die, plus seeing half his face burnt probably made him snap, and Joker made it worse.
And it goes along with the madness mantra of the Joker. All it takes is a little push...
I'd say the joker probably did 90% of the convincing by talking to him... he's that good.
Good points; I'd add survivors guilt to the list of things messing with Harvey's mind. I think it mostly looked unrealistic because it was rushed, felt like one moment Harvey Dent is the good guy, acid, 10 seconds the Joker messing with his mind (most of which we forgot because that explosion shot was _that_ good) and hey presto, full-blown mad psychopath.
In the comics Harvey Dent became two face because a mobster he was prosecuting threw acid at his face in the courtroom, damaging the left side of his brain and face which then resulted in the aberrant behavior and desire for revenge.

The joker has traning in martia arts also it just depends who depicts him because in some of the comics the joker takes on hit and bitches out and other times him and batman are going back and forth ( grammer nazis correct me!)

This "clown" has never held his own against batman in 1v1 combat (who cares, he knows hes not gonna get killed). His wits are what makes him the most dangerous villain in Gotham.

You know how different this movie is from the other hero movies? Usually the victory of the heroes depends on "Who's the strongest" or "Who has the strongest weapon". But this movie, is all about their mind. Arm strength doesn't matter, the smarter one would claim the victory. I liked joker, cuz he was SMART.

About the bullets, Lucius said separation of the plates made him more vulnerable to knives and gunfire. Also, Dent became Two-Face because he realized that the system he was working in was terribly flawed; Gotham City officials underestimated the Joker and were willing to accept cops investigated at Internal Affairs into their ranks, and because of that, people died, and he lost Rachel. Also, Batman wanted to make the city blame him because he couldn't live with himself for breaking his one rule (not killing), and he realized that he would have had to become a murderer like the Joker to stop him and his cronies. It's Batman realizing his own personal limits.

The Dark Knight is my favourite film of all time so I hate it when people mock it or say it's bad etc. but this was hilarious. That eye wart will never go un-noticed.

t rex So by you saying that I'm 12, my favourite film of all time would be based on a film that became my favourite film when I was 6, as it came out in 2008. The likelihood of it remaining my favourite film until now is quite low, as my interests would have changed since the age of 6, as I would still have been at primary school and so would not fully understand some films. Granted I may not have seen it in the year it came out, but the probability of an individual seeing their favourite film in the same year is reasonably high (Although, to be fair that isn't the best point, because I would be ignoring some of the classics). I will allow the fact that you clearly believe that Batman films are for children, and I suppose "Batman & Robin" makes your statement correct, and that you also do not know who I am or my birth date, you base your comment on a stereotypical guess of my age, which is 12. Ironically, however, as I am 18, I would have been 12 at the time, but by the age of 12, in this current age, most would have a full understanding of what is being said in films, and so it is more likely for it to remain my favourite film from when I was 12, compared to if I was 6 when I first saw it.

What did they say, isn't it pretty much a solid kevlar vest? That doesn't make any sense that one bullet from a .38 revolver would knock him over. Guns are the main weapons goons will use that he fights.

It got exactly what it deserved. A posthumous award for Ledger and a sound editing award. It's a solid comic book movie but that's about it. Certainly not the best picture of that year or any year.
