Yeah but in The Dark Knight he trades that suit for a more flexible suit which is more vulnerable to knives as stated by Fox

I loved it. It was to drive home the point that the entire movie was making. Anyone can be Batman, and yet no one can be. The idea is that Batman is no one special. This is supported by the fact that he constantly falls. (Why do we fall, Bruise?) But the difference is that Batman always gets back up. That's the point. Even after everyone chalked him off as a villain, he got back up. Even after now everyone thinks that he's dead, he will get back up again. Even though he's an ordinary man, he has become more than a man. Which is exactly what Batman Begins was all about. Just some perspective for you, mate. ;)
