For plowing set the side of the right wheel in to 21 inches from the center of the pto shaft. That puts your wheel in the furrow. Amazed at Super C power pulling 2 bottom plow.
The piece with the hole on the rockshaft is for the a fertilizer attachment. It's a hook rod that goes in there and when you let the cultivators down it engages the drive on the chain and when you lift the cultivators it knocks it out of gear to stop the fertilizer. You are right about the rod on the right setting the tuck on the hitch for plowing. All you need is the end piece. It should go to the outside. It's in the stationary position now. Hope you find the pieces easy. Really enjoy your videos.
Great I like everything you show in the videos some I know as a kid some I have forgot over the years . And you bring them years back to my old brain 🧠 now. Thanks God bless
Looooove your show. Your commentary is second to none and has me rollin! I try to watch all of your shows. I will tell you one thing about your shows...one critique...if you weren't a Farmall Fanatic before watching em, you will be turned into one. Keep them coming
My 200 (that I recently sold) hitch tilt was the same as yours and I hooked it up to the existing holes in the right lever. For plowing, there's the 2 pins that allow the fast hitch arms more lateral movement. Also, you can disengage the power down feature by removing the pin on the collar that holds the lift linkage in place on the shaft. I was told by a guy who used a C to plow with that it was important to have a lot of loose motion in the hitch while plowing. with everything pinned up, things broke. Edit. I may have misspoke about how that right side hooked up. The pin is larger for the link and you may be right about the arm needing replacement.
Passed a Super C on a trailer today and wanted to chase the guy down and make him an offer! Damn thing was pretty also! I don’t need it but I want it! Need stay strong here lol
Yeah, the SC should pull a 7' disc without too much of a problem. They're not all that heavy, those discs. My 10' Krause would leave that poor tractor grunting & moaning. It made my old 400 sound like it was doing something. Boom!
That book will come in really handy that's for . I can't wait to see what all you end up getting for the Super C . Can I come over and pay with you lol . I hope you have a great weekend !
That is a fast hitch rockshaft arm in the book you have a left side rockshaft arm on the right or a outer arm for a C. Most C have 4 arms super C have 3. I got on from the back and off using light bar and tire lug to hold on to. And have got down from the back. Stand on implement put hands on seat right foot on belt pulley guard pull up put right hand on steering wheel throw left leg over seat and you are on.
I am putting a fast hitch on a plain C. I had the leveling link built because finding one is costly. The slide rod is like finding hens teeth and if you do find them they always seem to be bent. As for the arm that the slide rod hooks to i think your tractor has the arm or touch control from a plain C. The super C has a different arm on the right side then the plain C.
Gov rebuild is quick and easy, 3 springs and a ball roller bearing. Make sure weights move freely but don't wobble on the pins, check that gov shaft bushings are tight and that's pretty much it. Did it to my Super C in about an hour
If the carburetor has been changed the governor needs adjusted to work correct with the new carb. And there is a surge spring adjusting screw for the governor.
You are set up to plow and disc right now in the “float” position with the left leveling arm removed and the right link attached to the fixed point. . I learned the hard way. I have a factory two point to three point hitch adapter and my only two point piece of equipment is a two pan disc plow.
My Super C is missing those same parts. I have a few pics from recent auctions with C's that provide some insight as to what to look for at the tractor salvage yards. Must have been common to remove those pieces.
If I can send you some pictures I can show you how I did a wider set of fenders on my one 230 . I am missing the right inner rod and the place to attach it up top on my Super C also. It's actually the whole rockshaft arm that's different. None of my parts ones have the correct arm either. My 200 does have it all so I might just try to fabricate what I need besides the rockshaft
@@FarmallFanatic what’s the difference between a 230 and a c? I know a guy who has a mta he parked in the woods a couple years ago because he didn’t want the new farm owner getting it. He still won’t sell it to this day. It’s a shame what happens to some of these tractors
I don't know about the Super C, but, my H would surge, so I talked to a Case IH mechanic and he yold me to remove the cover and spray all the moving parts inside the governor with wd40 because the parts get gummed up. I did that and it straightened it right out. You are for sure missing a few parts there.
That's crazy! Was just thinking about you & your vid popped up. I'm babysitting a DB 990 Selectamatic for a neighbor that moved. Should have it for about a week until he comes back for it. Don't think I'll do anything with it. Might start it a few times, just to enjoy a diesel that starts without glow plugs. Just a revolution or two & she fires up & purrs like a cat. Why IH couldn't do that is beyond me.
Pitch: Rotation about the "side to side" axis(IE rear axle axis) Roll: Rotation about the "front to back" axis (centerline of tractor). Yaw: Rotation about the "vertical" axis.(down through top of tractor,)
There’s a guy in Alabama that I buy all my IH brochures and manuals from if I can’t find an original. He’s a great guy. I’m guessing he’s the same person you got this from
The rock shaft arm on the right for your unit is scavenged from an outside left. You do not have a right side rock shaft arm. The outside arms had to be removed every time a corn picker was mounted so the right could have been damaged and replaced with this left side part. You should be able to pick up one of these on one of the forums. You can make up the missing telescopic extension to the right side assembly from stock by doing a little drilling and forging. On the other hand the left side leveling link is kind of special and you need to find one. Some operations require that the leveling link from the rock shaft be off and the stationary link be in place. I think I bought the last NOS stationary link from an old IH dealership in the Midwest. They were using it for a paper weight. In truth the front to rear level that is the same as the top link in a three point hitch was kind of funky (we had a 200 that I grew up with). If you make up an adjustable link to replace the existing stationary level link it will work much better. IH went away from the hydraulic level control arms on the next model (230) and it was never used on the 300 and above. It was only offered for two years for the 54 SC and the 200 and maybe a few of the early 230's. To plow with the 2 point hitch plow or the harrow you will need level control. If you have the stationary link the harrow should work fine but you must have the top link control that was designed to come from the right rock shaft. Be careful with your purchase of implements. The 2-point hitch harrow for the 200 was 6-feet max and I believe a 5-foot model was offered. The 7-foot most likely was intended for the 300 and above and the hitch will not interchange. You do need to get to the forums. There is knowledge there that will save you lots of hours of trial and error.
I think where the pipe on the right side is supposed to mount is actually supposed to be cast into the rock shaft for the touch control. So my guess is that from the factory that super c did not come with a fast hitch and someone put it on later on. I could be wrong but that’s my guess
Either that or that rockshaft arm has been changed. The correct one for the right side does indeed have that mount cast into it, and doesn’t have the flat metal guard thing on the backside of the arm. That’s how it is on my 200.
Yeah I guess the rock shaft arm could’ve been changed out. Changing it out probably wouldn’t be too difficult but finding one would be the hard part I think
Something is not right about the battery box. The battery box should bolt to the box with the amp gauge to help stiffen it. And did you oil the fan on it and the A? If it has the OEM fan it is important to oil it.

Yes it was originally a Bob Seger song but the way you sang it was deff the Metallica version 🤣🤣

Like I said in last night's livestream, I wouldn't mind owning the 200, even though it would be slightly redundant

I've always looked at the 230 the same as the 200 with a few different parts and a little more horsepower
only thing we used the rockshafts for was a home made plow on the front that connected to them via cables
I'm following this close, lol My super c has a homemade 3 point and its all bent up, i would like to find a nice fast hitch.
