I love farmall international, i am 50 yrs old , my grandpa had a super c. I was plowing a 2 acre gardin with it a 9 yrs old. And we used it a sawmill some times. We had at one time over 14 international harvester trucks, tractors, dozers , school buses and power plant engines. Truely one of the most unique collections I've ever seen. I miss grandpa , grandma, Mom and Dad and all those machines very badly. There all gone now. I was an expert at runing them all. It's a shame good stuff isn't made anymore. And YES , you had to be a real man to work them. Thankyou for this vido. 👍💜
Our favorite in tire weight is used antifreeze from a local shop for free. It has a rust preventative in it already and we have had great luck. It just weighs a little less than calcium per gallon. Good luck.
My 49 was my favorite. Loved my A & B, but the C was my favorite, maybe because growing up spending summers on my uncles dairy farm, I got to run the C spreading manure because I was just a hair to small to handle the SuperH's.
Awesome tractor. The New Iron videos are my favorite and the follow up videos on each tractor are very educational. Build another shed and keep them coming. Thank you!
Congratulations on the new to you Super C. I was impressed with how it was off loaded from the trailer. I am 49 and my earliest memories of driving are sitting in my late grandfather’s lap steering his Farmall MD so I share your love of Farmall tractors. Best wishes.
Had a fell down our way here Western corner of Butler county a few years ago they had a sale after he passed and his neighbor told me he got a shed full of farmalls there he said there's too many farmalls in there you couldn't throw a quarter in there without it landing on a Farmall. Gino I think you're just almost at that point!
That is the original battery box, but it has been cut, modified and widened. You can get an alternator with a self-exciting regulator ,and they are one wire hookups. The headlights are correct, but the bulbs are not. You couldn't buy the proper light bulbs for those lights for a few years, but you can now. They always came in 12v as well as 6V. My SW6TA Diesel uses 12V bulbs like that. Those tires will be good for a long time yet. You can adjust the brakes and sometimes that is all you need to do. But the disc brakes are easy to do. That's a nice Super C. You did well buying that one.
For the cub brakes, if your going to fix them make sure you order two new pins for the bands. Had a broken pin in my 52 which turned out to be the whole reason the brake didn't work in the first place
It had weights at one point. At least he didn’t do like some people snd take a cutting torch to the axles to make it narrower. Wide fronts are great, but I can store more in my sheds with narrows. Great tractor Bub. 👍 everyone I spoke with that had a temp gauge on the touch control when it was new, told me it never moved off Cold. IH stopped putting them on because they were not necessary
Temp gauge was for the hydraulic oil. If the gauge moves, it means oil is leaking by a valve somewhere. Having it in the cold position is a good thing.
@@tommys_trucks_trains_tractors My 200 had a leaky touch-trol unit. After about 3 hrs., the gauge would be moving towards the hot side. The sensor goes into the mesh filter for the touch-trol unit, which is the reservoir for the hydraulic pump. I've seen a lot of the sensors disabled, either the little sensing tube that goes to the gauge snagged something and broke it or it was cut off because the sensor couldn't be backed out of the filter when someone needed to clean it. A gasket and o-ring set fixed my problem. I used my tractor to trim fence lines with 100 ( I think, I sold it awhile back, a balanced head mower, no pitman) IH 2 point mower, so I was always lifting and lowering the mower.
Very nice Gino. I’m glad you found room for it. A little tight, but anyone can haul a BB in a boxcar! Not a parade one. Thanks
2000 bucks +- will not buy you a good new lawnmower anymore, in diesel or gas, the 504 was a good working tractor, at least in my experience, I chopped corn stalks with one on a 400 acre field, and pulled a small disk after that, Both ways.. width of disk I forget. it was a long 3 weeks and a couple days but I got it done,
@@FarmallFanatic It seemed to me to be a super price for what it is. A shop overhaul on the engine! Wide front, PS, remotes, good tires. Big for my needs BUT. Sold the farm and getting rid of everything. Might have to set outside for 4-5 months, we shall see if I can get it. Thanks for the encouragement.
I think the bolt came loose on the left side of the of the rockshaft for the 2pt hitch. I bet that bolt is broken that threads into the differential housing. All the welds strap and bolt are making up for the broken bolt.
Excellent video Gino :) also for tire use Hydrogen also Air mix , Weights and battery plus rest repairs planning do to ! Plus 5 gear grind push clutch in 3 times before to lock in and need brakes bad plus clutch plate to with bearings ! What happened one brother and kids grind gears doing double clutch pedal ! So need gear in transmission plus rebuilt to job ! But so quite running and drive now ! Plus all new wireing too because need too and looks good too!

There is a Farmall 400 with a loader like yours the person wants 4 grand for but I thought it looked kinda rough for that price . Have fun with the new tractor !
you have a delcotron alternator you can buy a self energizing regulator you install and all you need is a B+ wire to the battery . when the engine starts and the alt hits 200 rpm the alt starts charging and disconnects when the rpm goes below 200rpm you can get the kit on ebay or amazon
