Fast Hitch was available on International Utility models, but not the International Standard or Wheatland tractors. 3-point was available on imported “B” tractors

We have a Farmall 460G with a fast hitch that we bought in 1970. It was the big tractor in its first 12 years on the farm, and still gets a lot of use today. It is the favorite raking tractor, as with the fast hitch, you can keep the rake crank set and use the fast hitch to raise the rake for transport or going over rows.

230 with FH is part of our family around here! Dad always said Woods was building FH mowers up into the 80s, he always wanted to buy a finish mower to fit. I have scoured the internets looking and never found anything other than single point fh mowers, never two piont for the 230. Dad always liked the FH because by the 80s, nobody really had them and there wasn't always someone wanting to borrow the implements.

The 230 FH mower was a little different than the one for the Super C and 200-unless you were lucky to get a 230 with rockshafts like both of mine were

@@LedgemereHeritageFarm not exactly sure what you mean, I know the sickle bar is anything but fast hitch since you have to make the fast hitch receivers rigid. I was talking about woods brand finish mowers...RM59 model, I think. Looks like the same deck as the belly mount mowers, and twisted the belt drive around instead of having a gearbox. I have seen those fast hitch to fit the offset tractors, but never for any of the two point tractors. Not sure if they exist or not. Dad just cobbled a 3pt adapter and used bought a 3pt finish mower.
When he bought the 230 back in '83 or '84, it had a woods 5ft belly mower on it. He traded that for a a FH grader blade and $50 boot iirc. We still have the blade. Handy for some snow removal, but the hydraulics need serious attention on the tractor, so using it in the cold of winter is not ideal. I think the lift cylinder needs rebuilt, and the spring centered control valve could probably use attention as well.
One of these days, right? I am a machinist and have made numerous hydraulic components over the years, but it's hard to find the time to tear it down and do all that needs done and get it back together before needing to use it. Probably should just start with the cylinder first and go from there. Pete Larson's 504 sounded exactly the same though, he rebuilt the control valves and solved the problem.
