The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell. Perfect, I haven't watched the Christopher Reeve Superman movies in decades but he still is the best one. Once upon a time people handled the bullies & criminals, or better, called the Police, today most just try to ignore it so it can happen again, and again. He stood up for the waitress like a gentleman and standup guy. It was Christopher Reeves acting to look so awkward, nervous and a little scared as Clark but also strong, confident and polite as Superman; just like Superman was intended.
So true. I like this scene because it's the flip-side of what we're used to seeing. This is Superman under the guise of Clark Kent, out to set things right in the world.
He doesn't pay rent (Fortress of Solitude) and probably not taxes, either (he lives somewhere North of Canada and probably does not have an address). He can fly so he does not need to pay for gasoline or automobile insurance. He doesn't feel heat or cold so he has no need for heating or air conditioning. Think about how many years he had to stick money away.@@paulsmith9192
@highlyanticipated death, stop being an asshole. Even after the accident, he was very active and he worked hard to raise awareness about quadriplegic people.
Christopher Reeve's horse riding accident was such a tragedy, for such a physically fit man whose on screen physical presence was so immense to have sustained such a horrific, lifelong injury was truly appalling. I don't think that I've ever felt so bad for someone I didn't know before. He retained great dignity for the rest of his short life.

@@robertyoung3992 im sure theres a George Reeves tribute video out there somewhere, go find it and comment there, this is about Christopher Reeve, and how much we appreciate him.
Which brings up the question, "If he (Garbage #1) hates it (Garbage #2) so much, why keep coming back?" Maybe because it's the only place that gives him the freedom to step on people and walk all over them and say anything to them at will whether it hurts them or not. In other words, it allows him to be his true-to-life self: a bona fide bully. Either that or he's too lazy to drive to a much distant diner that serves better food. Either way, based on his character, he deserves exactly what he gets.
@fourierthejunglist Thats a helluva lot of BS you just typed out. When Clark gave up his powers to be with Lois, he didn't become a 90 pound weakling. He still had the same musculature that he had as Superman...just not super-charged by yellow Solar radiation. Simply put, he had as much muscle as Christopher Reeves put on to play the role (and he was in great shape, with some solid muscle.) So Clark didn't get beat down because he was out-muscled. He was at least around the same strength level as the trucker. Clark was beaten because he had no fighting skill. He was beaten because he had no experience about what NOT to do in a fight. He was beaten because he had never really experienced the pain and shock of being violently assaulted. The crutch of his powers had let him bypass all of that life experience. "Fair" was simple. It was the human-strong trucker with his aggression and fight experience against human-strong Clark (who was no weakling) with his lesser aggression and lack of fight experience. He hadn't learned what most men learn growing up: You don't pick fights with someone when you can't back up your words. As far as powered Clark returning to the diner to "settle things"...get even using his Vastly unfair advantage,I thought it was cowardly and ignoble on his part. I guess that's what Zach Snyder homagrd in a similar scene from Man of Steel. What did it prove for Clark to use his powers to beat and humiliate the bullying trucker? What satisfaction could he have gained from that? The only satisfaction that can be gained from a fight is if there's a chance you could lose but you persevere. It would have been a much better scene if Superman had depowered himself (after he and Lois killed the Phantom Zone criminals because...he killed them) due to reasons. He had the police pick up Luthor, had Lois wait at the fortress and went back to the diner as Clark. Then he would call out the trucker, NOT make the mistake of turning his back on him and we'd see the beginning of a fight. The next scene would show Clark returning to the Fortress bruised and bloodied, his glasses broken...but with a satisfied smile on his face that screamed, "You should see the other guy." I would've applauded that because Clark would have gone back to have an actual fair fight against the trucker at his human-equivalent strength and at the risk of his safety...and WON. Then he could limp past Lois to get his powers back again. And she'd say something like, "Men..." The way they did that scene in the movie had no risk. It was like something a bully would do. And yes, I see the irony that I wrote a lot of my own BS too.
If you lived in Rochester New York you'd be able to use that line every day. Because most of the restaurants around this area have what's called garbage plates. Two hamburgers or hot dogs, home fries and mac salad with meat sauce on the burgers or hotdogs. Do a Google search on Nick Tahoes garbage plate Rochester New York.
@MasterOnion North Yup. Same here. I'll probably never have an opportunity to use the phrase because I live in the wrong area. I learned here on UA-cam and then researched it myself, that in the area centered on Rochester, NY, diners often offer something called a "garbage plate". This is a large amount of food for a low price. It's popular with college students. The plate typically includes fried potatoes, macaroni salad, beans, topped with hot dogs, and slathered with meat sauce or ketchup. It originated in Rochester about 110 years ago. It's not fine dining, it's fuel. So now, Superman's comment makes more sense to me. I always thought he was insulting the diner, but he's not. "Gimme another plate of this garbage" doesn't mean what it sounds like it means. You learn something every day. Lol. Maybe someday I'll be in Rochester and can use the phrase.

This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.

I saw this in the cinema and when he went back to that diner after he got his powers back everyone cheered and laughed.
Bit gay
🚨 ⚠️ SPOILER ALERT⚠️ 🚨
@fourierthejunglist
Thats a helluva lot of BS you just typed out. When Clark gave up his powers to be with Lois, he didn't become a 90 pound weakling. He still had the same musculature that he had as Superman...just not super-charged by yellow Solar radiation. Simply put, he had as much muscle as Christopher Reeves put on to play the role (and he was in great shape, with some solid muscle.)
So Clark didn't get beat down because he was out-muscled.
And she'd say something like, "Men..."
The way they did that scene in the movie had no risk. It was like something a bully would do.
And yes, I see the irony that I wrote a lot of my own BS too.
@foodeater42 It's hard to realize just how stupid you really are when you think about it....right?

Christopher Reeves will always b the real superman. Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. We will miss u😔
When Chris and Margot did the scene " Can you read my mind ". I thought it was so beautiful. Years later, when both of them passed, I watch that scene and cried very hard. I loved both of these incredibly talented amazing actors. Both of them had such range, such depth. It was hard when Chris had his accident. Everyone believed he would walk again and he almost did. In my heart and soul, Chris is Superman for real. For what he had to endure in the years since that terrible day, he never let anyone around him know how he really felt. You just knew, that some where, in that broken body, a real man existed.
Margot was gorgeous. Her raspy voice filled one's heart. She had so much too offer and it was sad, extremely sad, that she passed on.
I'll always remember that scene. The two of them together hand in hand. It was so magical. They were so beautiful together. That chemistry. The smiles. The genuine happiness of being with someone professionally that you knew was a good decent human being.
Chris & Margot
We miss you both more than words can say. I know you both are really flying for real in the service of God. May you both Rest In The Lord forever.........🌺🌺
Can You Read My Mind ⛅
Hey kat
Margot was ugly, the fact you call her gorgeous is ridicolous...She was really bad and pero chemistry with Christopher..in fact she said he was for her like a brother..Who would say that having Chris Reeve kissing you?? She was crazy and she was not pretty , si glad when Lana appeared , at least someone Who was phisically more suitable for Christopher
@@diamantina5115 Margot Kidder wasn't a classic beauty, but she was attractive. She also had mental health issues to deal with which she eventually managed to get under control.
When Ms Kidder did that scene she went down deep into her soul and I think she use from personal experience . She cried like a person would who knows they can't have someone. Its a very touching scene. Amazing how much deeper some movies are when you see them as grown adults then when much much younger
@@rjam1974 Agreed. She was an amazing actress and she is missed very much.
in my opinion the best superman movie...this one
Inspiration for every kid needing to stand up to a bully at school .
Otis Pulos until I saw your comment I was literally gonna write that every bullied kid/adult wishes they could do this to their abuser
Thats right, all they gotta do is face their bullies after they get their kryptonian superpowers back and they'll be good to go. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Except Dont lol
Yeah, once you hit that stage in puberty when you become bullet-proof, can fly, can shoot lasers out of your eyes, outrun a bullet, lift a building over your head with ease among other things that should give you just enough confidence to stand up to your Bully.
Haha this guy is trolling
“ im terribly sorry for the damage sir” hands him $12...
Hey, adjusted for inflation it's ~$38 lolz
🤣🤣🤣
And even then, it gets abruptly taken by her.
that's about what the shit costed back then
Haha right!! Even if he payed for it. The time and effort to replace it would be a pain. How are the workers so happy. He couldve easily taught him a lesson without damage.
We lost Christopher Reeves too soon. He was the best, a terrific actor and person.
I don’t care if it’s a bit cheese, or if Superman should be above this kind of thing….I love it!!! The whole scene was perfect. In fact, Christopher Reeve was just about perfect as Superman. RIP my friend.
Christopher Reeve was a Superman in front of the camera and in real life. As Superman, he gave a generation of kids joy and inspiration. Despite the tragic accident in his life, he continued to live his life with integrity, teaching adults perseverance and true courage. You earned your wings, Christopher Reeve. Now you can truly fly in Heaven. ❤
Agreed and he saved more lifes out screen than in it
Nah, he's teaching angels how to earn their capes.
Yup, mister, reeves just got his wings and became an angel.
He even smiles when he's in space 🤗
Reeve's Superman actually likes being Superman. Who wouldn't with that theme music?
Mike Johnson Great comment😂
He's smiling because he knows the answer to my question: How does his cape flap around behind him in the vacuum of space?
@@dantresohlavy7323 Don't pick apart the physics of superhero movies, TV shows, cartoons, etc. You're killing the fun for yourself.
@@dantresohlavy7323 Why wouldn't it flap around? Assuming he's up high enough to have only minimal atmosphere (near vacuum) then there's nothing to stop it from moving around as he does. Assuming he's not in orbit, he must be propelling himself forward, even slightly, and that would tend to induce some movement of the cape at least. Then again, there could be solar wind and electric charge effect coming into play as well, depending upon what the cape is made of, or a side effect of the force that allows him to fly in the first place.
Of course, this is a movie. If you're going to analyze it that much, why not ask the question "Who is he looking at, and why is he smiling at them?" He's powerful enough to break through the fourth wall! 😉
Christopher Reeve will always remain my Superman, inspired self belief, confidence and goodness.
Vijay Krishnan so you’re not a Trump voter
Every single thing about these original superman movies is legendary. ❤
Christopher Reeves always will be superman
It's Christopher Reeve. George Reeves played Superman in the 1950s TV series.
Eddie Thomas Yep best Superman ever.
perhaps, but after George Reeves........
Same as Sean Connery will always be James Bond, but the new ones aren't bad by default.
Eddie Thomas Yep!
The one and only Superman Franchise. loved these as a kid. Let’s not forget the magnificent performance of Gene Hackman as Lex Luther and of course Terrance Stamp as General Zod. General Zod is my all time favourite film baddie and still inspires me in comedy banter about anger management issues.
Sure, new movies have better effects and yada yada, but the charisma Reeve gave us, is unmatched. Still frikkin awesome movies!
also keep in mind they didnt use cgi so u saw reeves technically flying for real
Yes effects aside, no one can pull of Clark and superman like Christopher. Absolutely born to play superman. Although I love this seen, let's not lose sight, this was a punk move. Just because we love it, doesnr make it right and where did he get that money? Obviously only Lois can afford a million dollar penthouse on park ave, that's probably worth 40mill today. Flies on a concorde to Paris, when Morpheus won't give Lois economy. She's lucky he approves a flight at all.
Real actors with real acting. No hi-tech cartoon.
He actually comes off as kind of creepy.
Hammern28 facts the writing and and the chemistry these actors had was great they fed off each other the casting was so good too
