Thanks so much for letting me join you guys on this epic Morning Market Street Food Tour. Definitely will have to visit this market again and try some of the mango sticky rice from your favorite vendor.
We had so much fun having you join us!! Glad to be able to show you one of our favorite markets and you should definitely check out the mango sticky rice spot in April/May. THE BEST! 😘🥭
Surprised to see your collaboration with Grif! Nice that you came to Trok Mor again. It’s very close to my girlfriend’s house, but she never brings me there. Hope to get there someday. About the coffee you had, it’s called กาแฟโบราณ (Kar Fae Boran) or “ancient coffee.” You can find it in almost every market and boat noodle stall. Cha Tra Mue also serves it. Some foreigners might call it Thai coffee, but there are actually many types of sweet iced coffee served in Thailand. Here’s a quick guide: - O-lieng: Sweetened black coffee. The blend includes coffee beans, corn, and other ingredients for a unique flavor. The blend was invented post-WWII due to the scarcity of coffee beans, so people used other ingredients as substitutes. - Yok Lor: O-lieng with fresh milk on top. - Ancient Coffee: O-lieng mixed with condensed milk, the most popular Boran style coffee. Some Thais might refer to all three types as ancient (Boran) style and just call this iced coffee of the style. However, when most people say ancient coffee, they usually mean this one. Your favorite at IconSiam is also this drink. - Nescafe Yen: Milk iced coffee made with instant coffee (from Nescafe). This is also popular in markets and stalls. If it’s not ancient coffee, they might serve this instead. You guys had it once in one of your videos, though I can’t remember where though🤣. - Iced Espresso/Ess Yen/Kar Fae Yen (Iced Coffee): Served in cafes, this is modern coffee (espresso shots) seasoned like Thai-style coffee. Almost every cafe serves this, and each one tastes different because the recipes vary. I think of it as a way for baristas to show off their skills and recipes. It’s the first thing I try at any cafe to see how well they can make it. For me, it’s the most delicious coffee ever if you find the right one. It’s like the signature menu for every cafe, so it’s sometimes named after the cafe, like Amazon, True Coffee, or Black Canyon.
You should definitely go to Trok Mor! It’s such an amazing morning market. We are close friends with Grif 😃 We love Ancient Thai Coffee 😁 Thank you so much for sharing! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
@ChovyTravel I also love ancient coffee 😁 you should try one from Cha Tra Mue! As the availability is not the problem, and also affordable too 😄. I think they may call it as Traditional Thai Coffee but you can say Kar Fae Boran, and they will understand.
Thank you so very much! 🥰🫰❤️🙏 Very Nice! That’s perfecting timing for the beginning of Mango season 😁 We will definitely be going back! Appreciate the love and support! Grif is a Stud! 😁🥰❤️🫰🙏
Nothing beat that to die for creamy rich taste and a divine smell of a good fresh coconut milk, the tin one should never be consumed if you’re in Thailand. Nice to see you back in BKK😊❤
Glad to see you guys back in Thailand, I think you guys have garnered a rather loyal following with such dedicated content! Just tuned into Grif's video, so pleasantly surprised to have something to watch after

Nice to see you here at Bangkok Thailand. I saw you both eating durian sticky rice. Greetings from Surabaya City 🦈🐊, Indonesia 🇮🇩. In the city of Surabaya, we also have a very interesting durian tour which is located on Jalan Sutorejo Utara number 15.

2:02 those "Tod Mun" (fish cake) look so delicious to me too. Actually, I love this menu so much that I bought it every time when I saw any stall that sell this one 😋
Wow ! That Durian in the coconut milk with the sticky rice is so cheap. It's one of my favourite Kanom Thai but I prefer to eat it cold. Please try it next time, just put only the coconut milk in the fridge before eatting but do not put the sticky rice in the fridge tho. It's so yummy than the hot one. You guys made me want to go to this market right away lol.😊
I'd like to tell you again If you like durain and sticky rice with coconut milk ( green sticky rice) you can try it at Chester's ( grilled) every branch.❤🎉😊
Have you visited these 2 cafes?the Maldives cafe of Thailand,Bubble in the forest cafe and after the rain coffee and gallery,it is so nice there, food tasted good too.
40 mins ride to these 2 places, they are close by together, you can visit both in a day, notice the opening hours too.AFTER THE RAIN coffee has got boat jungle ride,BUBBLE IN THE FOREST has the Maldives vibe, dinner there would be great.
Welcome back to Bangkok! Suggest you to go to Red Cross Bazaar at Lumpini Park now until 22DEC2024 from 11AM-22PM, lots of food and fun activities for charity!
Right!? 😅 7 Days a week is nuts! Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 We never tried it at the supermarkets because they always seem to smell bad/not the best texture. We tend to try to get them from the Markets only 😃. That way, they’re nice and fresh.

Right!? Totally regret not getting one to go 😅 So delicious!
I remember this market and Durian stick rice.
🥰
Traditionally, we use durian which is too ripe/almost bad/unsold to make durian sticky rice. But it has been adapted to use "normal" durian too.
Oh really!? Didn’t know that. Thank you for the heads up!
