Fast Elbow Pain Relief Fix (Using Just a BUTTER KNIFE!)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 лют 2020
- In this video, Dr. Rowe shows a fast elbow pain relief fix using just a BUTTER KNIFE.
It's easy to do, and may give quick elbow pain relief in as little as 30 SECONDS.
This exercise is based on muscle scraping, which helps break up adhesion in the soft tissues around the elbow. This helps loosen a stiff elbow by loosening up ligaments, tendons, and muscles that aid in elbow motion.
Think of it as a elbow massage taken to the NEXT LEVEL.
It's great for helping to relieve pain from golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis) and tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis).
So if you're dealing with elbow arthritis (osteoarthritis), elbow pain after the gym or working out, tendinitis, dull achy pain, stiffness, or general soft tissue tightness -- this is something you're not going to want to miss out on!
Watch now and get those elbows feeling better INSTANTLY!

how often should the scraping be done?
@@loriwilliamson5738 it can be done a couple times a week, evenly spaced, if it's helping.
I've currently experiencing golfers elbow and it's painful so 2 weeks off golf and I'm definitely going to try this 3 or 4x a week as your back exercises have helped wonders in past 🏌️
I had been suffering with tennis elbow for 6+ months & had tried everything with no relief. Out of desperation, I tried this & IT WORKED! Thank you so much!
I commented on another video just now for tennis elbow. This actually gave me some instant relief. Thank you!
Thank you Dr Rowe.I really appreciate you taking time to making this available to us. Already feeling the relief.
Great to hear it’s helping, thanks for watching!
SpineCare Decompression Thank you so much Dr. Rowe! I have severe pain on the inside of my right elbow & I get Cortisone shots every third month… I just now followed your advice in this video & kept going for a good while, focusing on the most painful spots & it helped! I could bend my arm with less pain! I can’t hold it bent, but at least I could do it! The pain from this elbow keeps me awake at night. I do have work injuries in my neck, shoulders & lower back & I get Cortisone shots in those areas also - even in between my vertebrae’s in my neck & lower back. I’m happy I found your channel & I’ve subscribed! If the exercises you show can give me pain relief, even for a short amount of time, I’d be SO grateful 🙏🏼🙂‼️ Thank you again & God bless you 😇‼️
Lena, from Sweden 🇸🇪
Yes. Finally good straight up time saving advice. Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching!
This really helped me out, thank you! Now subscribed. Do you have a video for front shoulder pain?

Happy to help, and thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! My left elbow has been in pain for over a year after I did a side plank in yoga and something moved out of place. This is the best it’s felt since. Subscribed!
Thanks so much for the sub, we really appreciate it!
It really works and gives a relaxation immediately after the application. I wonder if it helps tennis elbow recovery too. How frequently should it be applied?
Just what I needed. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Searched your whole channel for the elbow fixes 😅 thank you from FL 🤙🏾

Wow, a therapist was working on my lower foreward underside with a special tool like a butter knife, part of my therapy. Your procedure seemd to make it better. Have pain in bursa area from repetive motion. thx,
Hi Dr. Rowe after weeks of pain in my elbow, I'm feeling better!! i did everything you show in the video and works! i have been doing for two days and i can believe the diferent, I can raise my arm, i went the hospital and they didn't do anything to relieve the pain, just pills i will continue do it , THANK YOU !!!!
That's great to hear it helped. It's such a simple technique that can give awesome results. Thanks for watching!
Wow, I tried to relax and later different stretching for 2 weeks but nothing helped. This video helped me literally in just 5 minutes!!! Thank you !!
Glad you found this video!
Hey Doc. Thank you very much!

Thanks for your help
Thanks so much for watching!
Been having some elbow forearm pain for a little bit. Came across this video and used the technique last night before bed and again this morning before work. During my morning commute I feel the elbow forearm muscles twitching.
WOW!!! This works!!!!!! Thank You!!
Glad to hear that, and thanks for watching!
Thank you it worked!.
Awesome to hear, thanks for watching!
✨Thank you! ✨I got this injury from whitewater kayaking and this pain relief has helped tremendously!
Wonderful to hear you’re getting relief!
Thank you so much! Could you address how to protect the nerve that runs down the inside of the forearm? I don't want to damage that in any way. I trust you and the info you provide in your videos. Could you give an example of how to Ktape for golfers elbow? There are SO many variations how do I know which way to tape mine up?
I have carpal tunnel that seems to have moved up my arm affecting my elbow and triceps. This is very helpful. Very tender. Very painful so I could only do a little bit but will continue to work up & down my arms. I used my facial gua sha stone, Thank you for making this video. I’m in tears but feel a glimpse of hope with the relief I got from this. 🙏💪
Glad it helped!
Hi Doc. I'm 28, started powerlifting when I was 18. After decade of lifting ( mostly benching), my left elbow started to feel a little sore and was having a lot of crack sound during benching, doing triceps push down and even just a simple fast punch move. I had done some physical therapy treatments in the past but it doesn't seen to work well for me.
Can you kindly give me some advice? Thank you !
I was afraid a tore a tendon because I lift weights. I was hurting at about a level 7 it hurt. But this relived the Paine a tone!!!! Thank you!
Glad it helped, and thank you for watching!
This was great! But my goodness, I'm glad I'd seen gua sha being done before! I pulled out so many little bruises! My elbows don't hurt, per se, but I have tingling in both hands sometimes that I think is related to the elbows. I didn't realize I had so much "grit" around my elbows!
Thanks so much for the video! I do feel warm & relaxed now.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for that, I’ve gotten great relief👍
Glad to hear it helped, and thanks for watching!
@@DrRowe This method has been the only efficient one which I have tried. I cannot say 'thank you' enough times. But still I have questions... How many times should I this? Can I play volleyball again? (I will try it anyway) I feel the pain has gone at least 95%.
Sorry i am just really delighted as finally something helped!
@@usespanner1 You can do this 2-3x a week (evenly spaced if it's helping). I can't answer that question about playing volleyball, since I don't know your condition. Thanks for watching!
@@DrRowe Thank you!
Medial & lateral, like you mentioned in the ankle video
Hey there! Great Video, felt some stiffness in my elbow. I had a triceps tendonitis and i think this is a good method to loosen up the muscles etc. But i have a question: do you know how to treat ulnar nerve subluxation over the medial epicondyle?
This is the best video for this topic. Got tennis and golfers elbow pain from weight training …they feel now like new arms ….💪thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching too.
Hi mate, did it manage to clear up for you? I have just done something similar few months ago
Thanks doc
Thanks for watching!
This is great, thanks! After doing arm with butter knife, I did it again with raspberry jam knife. Boy, could I feel the grittiness then!
Thanks so much for watching!
Preciate you doc
Thanks for watching!
Great technique using butter knife thanks
Thanks so much for watching!
Good video💕💕💕
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks so much. I just used my 2 fingers and followed your steps. I had left arm pain past 2 weeks. Could feel less pain immediately. Will continue doing! Thanks again! 😊
Please give us an update in the near future, and thanks so much for watching!
Hey man do you feel pain?
I played tennis for years and never got tennis elbow, but I know have it from playing the mandolin! But as soon as I got the injury I ran to your videos. They always work!
Glad you found the channel and I hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
are you still able to play the mandolin? I have a similar problem: golfer elbow and playing guitar
how often u do this per day ? thank you for this video
Thanks! Is this the same as fascial release?
Very good really helped!
Is it normal that my elbows feel itchy afterwards? Outside and inside
Gonna try this! Surgery for ulnar nerve helped a little 2 years ago, but the pain is coming back. I'm willing to try anything, no more surgery!
Hope it helps!
Imma try this
Hope it helps!
THANK YOU soo much, I've been suffering and treating my elbows for years they improve then I lift something and go straight back to square 1.
Can I ask how long and how often could I do this ? Should I do as needed in response to pain or better with a regular routine?
Should I limit to approx 1-2 mins per arm or can I keep going?
Wow! I’m suffering from ‘Biker’s elbow’ pain. And i just saw your video now and tried it immediately and felt relief on both of my elbows. Thank you! 🙏🏻 How often should i do this?
You can do this a couple times a week, evenly spaced, if it’s helping.
Thank you so much for this video. I tried your technique and it was instant relief. I wonder if I can use cold or hot compresses right after the massage?
If it helps, sure.
This is great! Thank you!
How frequently should I use the technique?
Couple times a week, if needed. Just make sure there's no soreness around the area by the next time you do it. Thanks for watching!
@@DrRowe Thanks! I'm glad I asked. I would have done it too often.
Yes!
I imagine the warm feeling afterward is blood getting to the affected areas? I have watched dozens of videos and purchased several supplies on the Internet and this might be the most informative video I have seen yet, I’ll try this for a few weeks and see what happens
Please give us an update soon.
Hi dr I believe my elbow issues are more tendon related than muscle related will this still prove effective? i should also be going to a physio soon to get a definitive answer on my cause of pain
Hey Michael thank you so much for your precious advices, I have just a question: you have never mentioned how many times per day or per week it should be done that. I don't want to use all day long a butter knife....:-) Thank you!!!
Do it like any other stretch, only as needed. Once a week to daily (if needed). I just would make sure to give the area enough time to adjust and not get too sore before doing the next round. Hope this helps.
@@DrRowe Yes it makes sense. Thank you!!!
im a wheelchair user i have bad pain in both arms as i push my own chair,, i will be trying this thankyou
Hope the exercises help, please give us an update soon.
My elbow has pain and can’t fully extend straight I’ll be sure to try this out hopefully it’s helps a little
Hope it helps, give us an update in the near future!
How long should it last? 15-30 seconds in each area?
hi, hoping you can ease my mind before trying this method, i have golfers elbow and its very swollen on the inside of my elbow and recently my thumb and pointing finger are numb on the edge. should i still perform butter knife method?
I have muscle tears up my forarm through the elbow and into the bicept a little. They have been healing for two years but I am still in a lot of pain. Can I do this safely without worry of causing harm of tears under the skin?
Dr. Rowe thank you for always helping. When I throw out my arm it snaps like if all the stiffness breaks... is this related to the grittiness or muscle knots? Or are they the tendons? Just wondering...
That's really hard to answer not knowing anything about your case. My recommendation is if it's bothering you, getting worse, etc. you should visit your local doctor and get it looked at. Last thing you want is it turning into something major. Hope this helps.
does this help with the pain within the joint as well? i did my first treatment and found plenty of spots to work thru. but I have pain within the joint when lifting, grabbing or twisting my arm/hand. Thank you!!
It may, please give us an update in the near future.
👌👍 nice would like to also see more on working on pec minor and subscapularis as well as deltoid work
Great video
Thanks for watching!
can you do this with other muscle groups as well, like the triceps or deltoids?
Absolutely. Give it a try.
Hello, i don't have pain in the elbow, but i have like a knot on the inner side of it near the bone. But ocassionaly my ring and middle finger would get numb and then the knot will start to hurt. Can i get an advice on how to treat it? Should i scrape it or cross-friction massage it or let it rest?
Thank you Sir for sharing this, do we have to do this once a day or multiple times a day? until the pain completely stops? I am having issues with both the elbows (I life weights) and this thing is really bad into winter time and with age its increasing. Will this permanently fix the issue? (may be after 4-6 weeks of continuous practice of above method?). Thank you
2-3 times per week (evenly spaced) would be the most. Make sure there's no soreness in the area before doing it again. If there is, wait another day or two (or until it's gone). Hope this helps!
@@DrRowe Thank you so much.
I have elbow pain more than 3 months
I went different doctors and take advice and one doctor gave an injection also but their is no relif in my hand
So I request to u to give me an advise
Plas dr. help me🙏
I've tried this but I have very sensitive skin and every time I do this, it irritates my skin and it makes my skin turn red and hurt some.
Hi, I’m new to your channel and was wondering if you have any remedies for Morton neuroma?
I don’t as of yet, but that’s a great suggestion for a future video.
I also have Morton neuroma in both feet.
Hi how many times per day should I do this? Thank you.
This can be done a couple times a week, evenly spaced, if it’s helping. Just make sure there’s no soreness in the area by the next time you do it.
Would this help any for someone like who has flexor tendonitis in their forearms?
It may help, just go lightly!
How often should i do this?
I have a bad case of golfers elbow right now (from crossfit). When you said to do the pointy end of the knife handle, I found a bump about 2 inches towards the wrist from the inner elbow joint - there isn't a bump on the other arm. Not sure if this was always there but I think not. Ugh. The pain from this is so bad. My training is pushed right back. Meh.
2 to 3 times a week, evenly spaced, works well.
its like prp injection without injection, faster healing ...thnx
Is this Grastin?
Are you in Germany right now or how do you know me having elbow pain? 😂😂
Your description says fix your knee pain fight after elbow pain.
Thanks for letting me know about that, I really appreciate it!
You are welcome!
In Indonesia we call it "kerokan", using coins... and it has been going on for years... 😊
That's interesting, thanks for sharing!
How often should one do this? 2-3 times daily?
Muscle scraping can be done every 48-72 hours.
@@DrRowe thanks! Should I ice afterwards? Use heat or just let it be?
👀👍🏻
👍👍😀
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Can I ask if you have any views on the frequency and duration of treatment? Is say 5 or ten mins every day too much for example?
For muscle scraping? I personally would do it as needed, daily if the muscle is really tight and then decrease frequency as it improves. Make sure you're not causing more soreness in the area by doing this too often, if that's the case... decrease the frequency to a couple times a week or less.
@@DrRowe thanks so much for all the help. My first session has left a little light brushing, I'll try and take it down 10% next time. Thanks for the tips, I think this could be really helpful for me
so my whole forearm is literally gritty..should I just dip myself in coconut oil at this point? lol
I'd use plenty, sounds like there's plenty of areas to work on. Hope it helps!
