That is why we need to get rid of qualified immunity. Even in well publicized cases of police engaging in illegal activity they often get paid administrative leave. A citizen of the US does not get that and they can't get away with the crime because they didn't understand that they broke the law. We have an epidemic in the country called The Blue Line Gang and the boot lickers that defend them.

22 years. If the cop was the one who was murdered by a civilian, it would be life. This is a start though. Start holding crooked cops accountable.

And start holding criminals accountable. More cops are killed than the few cases like this each year. This cop had no idea Floyd would die and he would lose his job and go to prison that day. But criminals on Fentanyl, etc. may die on you. He deserves going to prison because he went to far trying to spite the crowd that was hollering at him.

George Floyd overdosed on fentanyl and the cop who arrested him got blamed for his death. The only reason they're throwing this cop under the bus is because BLM threatened to burn down half of the country if they didn't. Basically, America negotiated with and gave into the demands of a terrorist organization. It's not something you should be celebrating.

22 years in prison is not a slap on the wrist at all like the family lawyer said, even 10 years is a LOOOONG TIIIIIIME, even more so in SNY/SHU/"Solitary confinement" etc. time is the worst punishment and it goes by astronomically slower inside while incarcerated.

Have you bothered to do any research on George Floyd? Check out his criminal past? Official cause of death? Cardiac arrest caused by heart disease, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine. The stress of the restraint was most likely the catalyst.
Or have you bothered to check what the protocol was for the kind of restraint Chauvin was performing?
I have...Chauvin did not break protocol. Criminals repeatedly feign things like "can't breathe" and "this hurts" to try to get out of their situation.
Why is everyone making a martyr out of a career criminal?
      He wasn't innocent.
Do I think the protocol for restraint should be adjusted if a pulse cannot be found and the suspect being retrained is unresponsive? Yes.
Do I think Chauvin intentionally killed Floyd?
      No, I do not.
So I will be labeled a racist because I have a different opinion.
My opinion is not born out of racism but out of logic and reason.
If the tables were turned (and has happened repeatedly...for instance, Breonna Taylor) my opinion goes the other way.
If I can see irrefutable facts (which the majority of the public are not privy to) it would make things infinitely easier to draw a conclusion.

    • @jorgedm15
      @jorgedm15 3 роки тому +11

@@returntozero2112 why do you guys try so hard to defend the undefendable? Regardless of if he had drugs in his system and if he had a heart condition, having a sorry ass excuse for an officer kneeling on your neck will severely speed things up. Yes, saying that you cant breathe has been used before. Thats should have beeb taken into account. George Floyd was not the first black man to say the same thing to a careless "officer". Same thing happened a few years back. I know George had a criminal record. I also know Chauvin also had a record for being a pos with other people. It wasnt the first time he had beem accused of using too much force. They literally killed a man over a false report of him paying with a fake $20 bill. Some people are just not meant to "serve" the community. I dont wish bad upon anyone but whatever happens to chauvin inside of prison will simply be karma. Not all cops are good cops. We need to stop glorifying ever guy with a badge on his chest. All I know is that I wouldnt want to be in a position where my son, my child, my parent, my sibling, or anyone close to me for that matter was killed by a cop for no reason other thst to fill his power hungry ego. Thats the reason why I will forever support the 2A.

They are most likely with the way the system is set up in the favor of law enforcement that he will be eligible for parole in 5-10 years and then he can get most of his sentence reduced for good time this is an absolute disgrace to our justice system as a whole and what we represent as a nation. This man should be locked up with life in prison with no chance of parole, people are idolizing him like he is some kind of hero when he was a cop who misused his power and over stepped his place when he decided to kneel on a mans kneck knowing full well that the man was suffocating and begging him to get off of his neck. He knew exactly what he was doing and for anyone to give this man who is a blatant murderer a light sentence of 22 years is absolutely foolish. This man deserves no sympathy and no mercy for the act he has committed taking someone’s life. If you let him off easy then you are just proving to the next guy that he can get away with the same thing. Lock him up with life in prison with no chance of parole and throw away the key for that loser.

He is they poster child of the reason why people don’t have respect for police officers. Not all police officers are bad that’s obvious but it’s not acceptable for any officers to abuse their power! Police officers work for us the citizens we pay your salaries but guys like these officers don’t take that to heart like they should they just think they can do whatever they want! If they thought about the citizens and how their job is to work for us, to protect us and treat us with respect almost like we are their boss because we basically are then they wouldn’t be on a power trip thinking they are above the law and can do whatever they want. There should be actions taken to make sure cops don’t abuse their power like having under cover agents working 24/7 to check up on cops like having these agents working undercover in the police forces, getting pulled over to see how cops act, having body cams that are on for the cops entire shift which can be reviewed remotely in real time, the body cams should not be able to be turned off, if there is a problem with the cops body cam they shall go bad to their headquarters to get another camera, every police car shall have camera running 24/4 also with remote real time viewing and with the cameras going 24/7 and not being able to be turned off that will not only help the public if an officer makes a false claim but will help officers when someone makes a false claim. Look at cases like Daniel holtzclaw if 24/7 camera footage was taken then there would be no questions of guilt or innocence. Then we would have people watching the real time footage, every time an officer pulls someone over an alert pops up on the computer of who ever is watching the footage and they can watch what the cops do during the traffic stops not just to make sure the cop is doing the right thing but if the cop is in trouble other officers can be sent like say the officer is injured and can’t make a radio call. It would make it impossible for a corrupt cops to continue beings corrupt. I’m not saying we need cameras to make sure cops don’t take too long of a lunch break or going to the gas station too much that doesn’t matter they could not get a call for an entire shift and when they aren’t on a call there is nothing wrong with stopping at a gas station, bank, supermarket or whatever person things they need to do they can catch a robbery from doing that imo their job is to be patrolling the public so go wherever the public goes I’m cool with that. But there’s no reason why they don’t have a 24/7 video feed they are civil servants doing a job so they can’t say having 24/7 video feeds when on duty is an invasion of privacy they are doing a job it’s not private time. I have video and audio recording 24/7 at my business which has saved me more then once from a customer trying to scam me! I had a customer trying to scam me that was gonna call the news and blast me on Facebook because I didn’t tell her something and I told her a different price and that I didn’t do the work but I showed her the video and audio and she said she was sorry and must have not heard me correctly! Also had someone try to say I did a fraudulent charge on their credit card, they called the police and the police came with the customer. Customer said it wasn’t their signature and they weren’t at my shop that day. So I played the video and audio for the cop with the customer right there and the cop said to the customer do you understand what you did? It’s a felony! He said that he was sorry and he did it because that was his girlfriend’s car who cheated on him and he didn’t want to pay for it. The cop arrested him I went to the car and said I didn’t want to press charges because he has kids but he still got charged but the judge let him off easy.
