If by “every first responder failed to to do their job” you specifically mean the cops, then yes I agree... where it gets blatantly and systemically criminal is when to obscure this failure they also prevented anyone else present at the scene from making any attempt to aid or resuscitate Mr Floyd... Cops are absolutely trained to administer CPR themselves and if they had done (even just half-heartedly) there would be evidence of it. Bruised, cracked or even broken ribs are all very common signs that someone has had emergency chest compressions. There was however ample evidence they actively blocked the airway of an unconscious man for a sustained period of time 🙄 which is literally the exact opposite of CPR.
So what did the cops tell the 911 operator for their call for the paramedics? Did they not say they thought he was on something? I thought I heard one of the cops tell the paramedic that. Or did they just tell 911 that George was having a hard time breathing? Because the doctor said he did not know that there was any suspicion that he might be dying from drug induced reasoning. I find it hard to believe that a doctor would not have had any thought to that being the case. I would think that any doctor that had a patient coming in from an arrest scenario should automatically check that out first thing. I mean come on man... If the police had even attempted to care when he first passed out and the EMT offered to help he may have been saved.
Yes, but the doctor was very specific there, he said the paramedics did not say if the patient was displaying agitated behaviour prior to his cardiac arrest and agitation is or can be a sign of drug use. That's why the doctor was swayed to thinking cardiac arrest due to asphyxiation. The paramedics arrived after Floyd went into cardiac arrest and wouldn't have seen his behaviour prior to it. If there's evidence, video or otherwise of Floyd being extremely agitated, that will alter the doctors view on the potential cause of death. The doctor was used his language carefully and specified based on the information he had received. Exactly. The doctor can certainly agree with the points that the defense made about how some drug interactions can mimic the effects of a cardiac arrest but they will NEVER be able to prove that these so-called drugs created these exact effects of a cardiac arrest, assuming that they were even in his system, which was unlikely. Now if George Floyd was, for example, being pursued by the police or in a panic situation like trying to get away, and THEN went into cardiac arrest, the case of certain drug interactions being the cause of it would perhaps have more credibility, provided it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that certain drugs were in his system. Instead, he had a KNEE on his neck which was proven by the ER doc after examination that this alone was the cause of his cardiac arrest due to asphyxiation. In other words, what are the exact odds of this cardiac arrest occurring due to (alledged) drug interactions only while at the same time, a knee was on his neck for almost 10 minutes? He a had a deadly mix of both substances in his system, a "speedball" if you will. Easily deadly enough to kill if SWALLOWED. Not injected. Theres a difference in injection and digestion of drugs

When the defense questioned him, the doctor seemed to want to give additional info instead of yes/no...but the lawyer was careful not to give him that chance.
If that was actually the defenses intention, it wasn’t an especially smart or careful move... They actually really should’ve wanted this guy in particular to offer additional information. If he had, the judge would’ve reprimanded or removed a key witness in addition to asking the jury to ignore either all or part of his rather damning testimony... which obviously would’ve been a slam dunk for their client’s case.
The worst thing the doctor could have done is give 'additional information'. He'd cease to appear impartial and the judge would chastise him for argumentation - he's not allowed to offer additional information. The prosecution must make sure the doctor gets a chance to give any additional information under cross-examination.

No, he died of a fentanyl overdose. The autopsy demonstrated no trauma to any part of his body. The medics should have tried to reverse his overdose and told the doc what had happened. The police did not kill him.
It wasn't a FEELING of not being able to breathe! He literally could not fckn breathe!
Sorry defense, I know you're trying to do your job, but your client Chauvin is a murderer.

Second, you're implying that the article somewhere mentions that all arrests should be treated with naloxone. Nowhere does it say that. It simply states that the AHA supports the use of and higher availability of the drug, such as keeping it alongside where AEDs are stored. Providers are not supposed to order random tests, the same way they are not supposed to carry out random treatments. The doc made a judgment call based on the available history which was minimal, but pointed to the likelihood of arrest being the patient being subdued. Not to mention Floyd was DOA. Could OD have been considered? Sure. But I sure as hell don't think there was any level of incompetency based off of what we know about the case.

There's a reason "cardiac arrest" is never the cause of death or sole cause of death: there are always multiple factors that lead to cardiac arrest & those must be determined & reported on the autopsy or death report.
Toxicology: I pulled the autopsy myself & it's worth noting that the amount of fentanyl & methamphetamine (in all of its forms) was half the amount indicated in recorded fentanyl deaths (both accidental & suicidal) so this theory bares no weight. I don't. People still want the police around, so until they completely turn on the police, this is to be expected. Fair or not, the enemy kills our citizens on a near weekly basis, and we can tolerate that, or not.
@@nathanjones6638 seriously what is wrong with you people? You want a life long purge then do you? When your kids are getting beaten to death and assaulted in the worst possible ways who you gonna call? The f**king ghost busters? Ffs grow up!!
@@nathanjones6638 Only fools and criminals want a world with "no police around." Urban life, no matter where you live it, is like the wild west as it is. Let's hope there aren't any police around when you need one. Oh wait, then that means you can be a victim and sue the city for your jackpot payout.
@@nala7658 Well said.
@@nathanjones6638 police kill innocent people on a weekly basis? Yeah, maybe in Myanmar. Get real. Black on black crime is the elephant in the room nobody wants to acknowledge. Many horrible cops out there, but in a 10 year span they can't match the number of bodies from a few weekends in Chicago.
Who cares. Chauvin is going to prison. That's all that matters.
The worst thing the doctor could have done is give 'additional information'. He'd cease to appear impartial and the judge would chastise him for argumentation - he's not allowed to offer additional information. The prosecution must make sure the doctor gets a chance to give any additional information under cross-examination.
@@BJ-oo5qo have you picked out where you’re going to riot if that doesn’t happen?
indeed
Take care of yourself Dr.
This doctor is so traumatized look at his face. I can see that he’s really sad talking about it over and over
The Doctor is traumatized because he has to follow the lefties narrative.
@EduTube why would a doctor lie for a narrative. What does he have to gain or lose. You make no sense Troll.
@@edutubesa1354 No, it's because he's got a heart. A lot of us do.
@@BJ-oo5qo So you are convinced and believe, made up your little mind that Chauvin caused the death (killed Floyd the outstanding role model citizen) and it was not the drugs that he was on and swallowed, to hide the evidence. Brandon we don't need a trail. Chauvin is white and guilty. If Floyd had just stayed in the back seat of the car as instructed by the police he would still be alive today. You do know Floyd was a violent man and a long criminal record. What would you do if you had to arrest a large violent man high on drugs?

This Doctor seems Exhausted! But not too tired to tell the TRUTH! His Testimony was Critical.
The defence team is trying so hard to find holes and create doubt so the monster can go free. I can’t believe it.
What's sad is they're just doing their job. Unfortunately it's playing Devil's advocate. We can't be mad at them. They just chose an occupation that makes them look like bad guys sometimes.
It's their job and he's entitled to a defence, just like the victim should of been. I don't begrudge him that. With the evidence against him there can only be a sane and just verdict. There is no other option.

The defense lawyer just confirmed that he understands that George was hyperventilating because he couldn’t breath.... so the question comes back to why did Derek Chauven have his knee on George’s neck....anyone knows that when you see that someone can’t breath you don’t worsen it. So he’s talking in circles.....
