Why should an ex-cop get special treatment? Because of a "perceived" risk. If we were to do that, should we provide special treatment for ANYBODY going in that feels "threatened"? Why not former security guards, former teachers, former politicians, etc. Anyone of authority.

A policeman/woman who deliberately makes a mistake is more worse than a criminal. Police people have power; therefore, they are above the citizen. The judiciary will always punish less to keep the professional group a hand above its head. So if they are convicted, they are the worst thing. A policeman who abuses his power is the same as a healthcare professional who abuses his position out of superiority. To privilege and facilitate these police officers in prison is wrong and corrupt.
These people are worse than criminals they swore an oath to uphold the law protect and serve all you have here are the lowest of the low the punishment should reflect the crime.
What better way to keep future officers in check then to send them to gen pop 💯

I'm for *Criminal justice and law enforcement* reforms, NOT criminal exemptions and privileges just because they are rich and/or cops..
IF we want civil rights and protection of inmates, it is to be for ALL inmates not just a select few and fix the justice system...that I believe creates an unjust system.
Every action has consequences, they should of thought before conducting there actions "hey if this lands me in jail i could be in danger". When they are in jail they are not police anymore so they should be treated just as another prisoner
