PT is such a phenomenal band. The first song I ever heard from them was off of "In Absentia" called Blackest Eyes. Bought the album and I was hooked. Saw them live for their 'Fear of a Blank Planet Tour". I noticed you did a reaction to 'Anesthetized" from the Live in Tilburg concert. Another great song from that night is "Way out of here". I also recommend checking out the band that Gavin is playing on now called "Pineapple Thief". there's a song called "Final thing on my mind". Gavin is a masterclass of creative talent and has decisively taken dumming to another stage in evolution. John Wesley was not a permanent member of Porcupine Tree but I loved what he added to the band, Especially his high harmonies. Shout out to Lasse Hoile as well for his awesome videography and quality live recordings. Cheers!
There will be Months that just ain’t so fuckin’ easy. That’s just part of it man. However, we need those times to recognize the good months. You gotta’ have bad to know what’s good. Cheers!
I completely agree with you about Steven's guitar playing, I think his solos and melodies are really brilliant... But I have seen him say in various interviews, in typical British fashion that he doesn't rste his own guitar playing... I think his live chops show that he has HIS style... and we love it... Sorry Steven, for once I have to say that we don't agree...Lol... Keep on Rocking man.
The album version of this is, of course, where those worlds collided. Mikael Åkerfeldt himself laid down that 'softly played' second solo in the studio...
You asked about Steven's guitar effects and there is a video on youtube about it.... Link Below... Good to see you back man and also reacting to Porcupine Tree again... You asked for suggerstion for your next track.... well how about... "Hatesong" Everyone goes crazy in this one especially Gavin.. it's the closest he's had to a drum solo... ua-cam.com/video/sqXkKLtNysw/v-deo.htmlsi=PI8wLXY35861xjJS (Guitar Rig Rundown.)
This harmonization from the bass which started at 9.30 is gorgious

The song Pink Floyd wishes they wrote and performed…
If you think that, listen to 'Radioactive Toy'
I heard The Wall in the into, and Animals in the outro.
Love that porcupine tree is so bass heavy 🖤🖤 i feel like it's the salt that makes everything else sound better 🖤

if you have the opportunity go see them live.
i like that I can hear the Opeth influence here and when I'm listening to Opeth I can hear the Wilson influence
