  • We took a 2019 Grizzly 700 with our existing big 3 duals package. Then added one of our custom grind grizzly specific cams for the 686 motor along with a drop in CP piston and set of heavy duty valve springs. The gains were great for drop in parts 50HP to the rear wheels. This is a cam we have been selling for a long time we just usually surround it with port work oversize throttle body, valves and other goodies. This test is a bone stock motor and clutch

    So basically for 13 or 1400 bucks you can have brute force 750 power accept and a bad ass machine like the grizzly.
    You've spent way more than that trying to get the brute force to handle and perform as good as a grizzly on the trails. You need a lift kit to get the clearance you need better shocks all the way around and probably several other upgrades. I'll be buying this kit this summer

      I believe that factory Hp for the Brute Force is 50Hp Factory for the griz is 47Hp (at the crank.)
      What They're measuring on the Dyno is to the wheel.
      It's more like he's putting you into the low end of the CanAm power levels. (but with less weight)
      Just like you I'll probably be buying this kit too. 👍

    Will this cam work on the kodiak 700

    Hey Eric, I have the barkers big 3 kit. How much for the piston and cams with labor OTD? Also, can you tell me about reliability? I’m thinking about dropping my 2020 Kodiak 700 off with you. Love the details.

    • @fishtailfuture
      @fishtailfuture 3 роки тому +4

      Talked with him a couple days ago about reliability. I don't live near them so I won't be dropping it off I have to do it myself. But basically versus stock he figured it was more reliable. Basically gets rid of a weak point and that is the piston that he said Yamaha has gotten cheaper with over the years. The airbox mods fix dust leaks, the piston upgrade fixes that weak point and the cam isn't gnarly enough to add extra wear and tear. I'll be picking up my kit this summer.

    Do you guys know how to delete a rev limiter on the 2016 kodiak\grizzly

    • @fishtailfuture
      @fishtailfuture 3 роки тому +2

      EHS doesn't offer anything to do that. There are ways. But everything I've read up on it is that it's pointless. With a normal transmission you want to over-revthe motor so that when your shift go right back in the power. This is not necessary with a CVT. You want to get to max power output rpm and stay there. Rev-ing to 9000 like the raptor is not necessary, and would probably be slower.
      The only reason I was looking into it would be for higher top speed. But then I found out with a mild about your build you can already go to bed 70. People often door because the motor stock run to the power to push you like best in people talk about somewhere in the mid 60s.
      Is there some reason you want to go 80 to 100 miles an hour on the quad. And that is a promise to take it. You should be able to find it with a search. I did.

    When will this kit be available on your website? Or where can I get the parts?

      Their website sucks ass. I hear you need to call these dudes. He needs to hire a web developer or have someone manage his parts inventory. I would like to see how HotCams work out.

    What was the Piston change for, Big Bore Kit, higher compression?

      Hopefully he'll comment back, I know if it was me I'd be bore it to a 727 and up the compression. I had a built Raptor that made some really good power and those were two things I did. The compression I bumped up to 14: 1 but that was running race fuel, if I was to buy another grizzly and do similar mods I'd probably only go to about a 11: 1 compression.

    • @EHSRACING

      stock bore mild compression increase its mainly for a better forged piston and ring setup. the pistons in the newer bikes are not quite the same quality as the old yamaha stuff. Then tend to wear out much faster. the compression gain helps some but we do it mainly for a more solid built motor.

      Why not do a 727 while your changing the piston? And what do you feel is a safe compression bump if running 91 octane?

    • @kiddydiddlerchristian4124
      @kiddydiddlerchristian4124 3 роки тому

      @@EHSRACING I haven't heard of this piston issue, how much of an issue is it? is the piston really necessary?
      What piston and cam did you use?
      What are your thoughts on Webcam cams?
      (FYI your website lists a page for cams but it's blank)
      Looks like i'm upgrading to a new grizzly soon..... looks like i'll have to buy some new toys from you again.
