    That’s really good to hear, I did a airbox mod on my 2007 grizzly 700 and am waiting on my ehs tuner.

      Nice. I’m still pretty happy with it.

    I love the mbrp. The say you don’t need a tune for them. And you never have to repack them. And they sound good. Love the colour of your quad.

      Thanks man! Yeah, I’ll most likely go MBRP when my stock exhaust starts to rust more. For now, the tip is working fine They just look so bad after like 1-2 years.

    Awesome, going to follow this vid once my finances recover a bit and I order the Big 3 from EHS, since I just got the Grizzly today, hahahaha. It was basically brand new, 150 miles and 20 hours. I probably will just get the Barkers dual exhaust and be obnoxiously loud. I did get rid of my loud Raptor, after all and exhaust noises are missing from my life.

      Glad to hear you got your Grizz! Congrats!! Like I said on the comments on another vid, let me know if you have any questions throughout the process. It was a bit of a pain (the airbox mostly) but was fairly straightforward.
      Excited to see/hear how it turns out!

    Cool, I Have a 17 Grizlly and have the EHS tuner & Air box mods as well. Had a fuel pump issue and ended up adding a Koso 02 A/F gauge. Turned out my fuel pressure regulator rubber went to heck in the fuel pump so I just replaced the whole pump as Yamaha had a updated part number on it. Anyways with the A/F gauge you can really zero in the tune. I also have a Coop machined sheave which will give you a lower take off ratio for those hill climbs and a EPI Purple secondary spring. Some guys say the spring helps some not. But everyone agree's the coop machined sheave is the way to go. On your dad's Kodiak 700 toss out the 21g clutch weights and put in the 18g like your grizzly has. It will really wake up his Kodiak.

    I have an HMF swamp series exhaust (not the XL version) and it has a beautiful deep tone that actually sounds quieter than stock (i compared it to my friends new grizzly, same model and everything) it’s a great stainless exhaust, stock and mbrp is steel and will rust. Also make sure the EHS tuner is compatible with your grizzly (if it is for the Kodiak 700 it is, if it’s for the 450 it isn’t, also make sure it suits to year of your grizzly 16-18 have a different engine and tuner). Kimpex will have occasional sales and clear outs of the HMF exhausts and at that price its worth it. I think the Titan series is the same but just with no snorkel kit, I cut mine into a tip instead.

      I was looking at the swamp series as well and that’s what I would have if money wasn’t a thing!! Hah. The EHS was for a Kodiak 700, same year, so I’m good there. I may get a full slip on at some point but the 2r is working for me for now! Thanks for the thoughts bud!

    How did I miss this? Don't even have a Grizzly but was still interesting. Not much interested in exhaust, especially if they're noiser. Isn't my cup of tea but if it adds a little extra HP then might change my mind haha.
    Nice to hear about the alternate views with the GPH3... also good to hear about the drone! Adds a little extra to the experience. Which one did you get?
    Great vid bud! 👌

      @blaze_atv  Рік тому

      Thanks man! The exhaust ended up being just a bit louder but made it much deeper and I think added a bit more hp.
      The drone I got was a RUKO F11 Mini. Lightweight and compact so it will be easier to take on the rides.

    Dont anybody do a ecu reflash like can am or cfmoto does? Be a hell of alot easier instead of tearing down all that plastic. I love how easy a cfmoto is to do any maintenance and add ons when u want. Their clutches are amazing and easy to do any clutch kits or just reclock the secondary if a guy wants. I own a 2016 grizzley also and have only done ais delete. Love the atv very dependable. Wanna do some upgrades to it also but hate all the hassle of tearing it down, LOL. But great video and enjoy the ride. Stay safe and right side up.

    • @blaze_atv
      @blaze_atv  Рік тому

      They don’t make anything easy anymore! I’m surprised to hear that about the cfmotos. That’s pretty cool! Tearing down plastics can be a bit of a pain but it was worth it this time!
      Thanks for watching!

    Good videos man, was this old footage you just posted because I was a little confused on the Kodiak being new to the channel. Hasn't that Kodiak been in all the past riding videos ? Or is that someone else. Anyways good content. 🤘🏻

      Thank you! So, as you know since you are following along, I ride mostly with my parents and my wife (tho she didn’t ride much this season). The “Old Man” (my father) rode his wife’s quad most of the year, which is the black Kodiak you’ve seen. He had a 2005 Honda Rancher with straight axle and no EPS. It only really showed up in my Rock Run videos since that was when my mom was on the black Kodiak. On day 2 of the latest Rock Run series, I rode the Old Warrior most of the day because the Rancher was too tough of a ride for the Old Man so he rode my Grizzly. After that trip, we put the Rancher up for sale and he bought another Kodiak. So, he essentially has two Kodiaks at this point, one for him, one for his wife, lol.
      Now, I just have to talk my wife into trading her straight axle Rancher for a Grizzly/Kodiak and we will be good to go!

    I am looking at getting a whiskey bent stainless 1.5” 90 degree exhaust tip for my bike. I’ve seen a video where a 2R tip violated a db restriction at an ATV park. And I’ve heard that the 2R tip has melted the plastic on some bikes.
    All hear say.

    • @blaze_atv
      @blaze_atv  Рік тому

      I heard about the melting. I plan to crush my rear fender with heat tape. I’m not a fan of the way the whiskey bent tip looks (even though I know there is a reason for it). From the videos I’ve seen (which I know you can’t get a great feel), I like the sound of the 2r tip.
      I haven’t heard anything about the loudness. I can’t imagine it’s any louder than my Raptor with the HMF was lol.

      @@blaze_atv I have the whiskey bent tip, 1.5 with a 45 , sounds like a YZF 450 and really added bottom snap. It's on my wives kodiak 700 too. I bought 2 EHS tuners, 1 for my 2021 grizzly and 1 for the wives kodiak 700 2021. Instantly turned our perfect running quads into turds !!! Tried different settings for 2 weeks, the never ran good. I emailed Eric he was no help. I posted on grizzly central others said no improvement on newer grizzly. I did the AIS delete and it helped it run a little cooler. But we never had a lean conditioning or popping. I'm in Oklahoma and I don't know if in higher elevation they run lean but ours ran great with no tuner. We also tried the MBRP exhaust, very loud and obnoxious and no performance gain. It looks like made for a 250 not a 700. So now we're stock with AIS delete and whiskey bent tip and they run great and haul ass. Good luck 👍

      @@SuperDave-pe1zw oh wow! Sorry to hear you’ve had so much trouble. I instantly had noticeable improvements with mine once I got the settings right. We’ll see what happens when I add the 2r tip this weekend. Thanks for the info!

  • @ColoradoDualSport
    @ColoradoDualSport Рік тому +2

    The 2R really isn't that loud. Compared to my FMF on my DRZ400 it's nothing. I think it makes the quad sound like it should have from the factory.

    • @ColoradoDualSport
      @ColoradoDualSport Рік тому +1

      Also my Hero4 Black that I still use to this day shoots 4k 30. So that 3 will probably do 1440p 30 which is a happy meadium. 1080p is just so small now with all of the TV's being 4k.

      Good stuff. Thanks for the info! Yea, I can’t imagine it will be as loud as my Raptor with the HMF. But, I guess we’ll see. It’s getting delivered tomorrow lol.
      I’m glad I rode mine around a bit before putting the tuner on. It made the tuner mean a lot more to me lol. The difference is crazy.

      Dude I need to do this to my 22 XTR, however I’m a mechanical moron, so I would buy the whole airbox mod pre made.. tuner looked easy right? Just plug and play and find a ground? Which exhaust tip did you do? 2R or Whiskey?

    I really don’t appreciate your video for the fact that I now feel that I need the airbox and tuner 😤. My Grizz hasn’t been out of the garage since I bought it but I did just order the 2r tip in hopes it’s not too much louder but the tone seems much better. How have you liked the 2r rip?
