Yamaha factory ais or air injection system raises EGT drastically this will help keep some of the heat out of the exhaust and help fix the annoying decel pop. To fix it correctly you will need more fuel which is available with our plug and play efi controllers, combined ais block and our tuner = happier machine

Awesome video. Glad to see they were all really close. Gives you more freedom to pick on looks and sound, while knowing your not missing out on a bunch of power, for a bolt on bike anyways. I think you sold me on the bang for the buck aspect on your stock ECU flash vs a Vortex. I had been looking at just getting the RP race power package but that's 2400$. Getting most of the way there for just over 1100$ sounds too good to be true lol. Will definitely contact you in the future.

Was just watching ur video. I am keeping my machine pretty much stock cause of noise restrictions here in Wisconsin. I did a Cuervo racing AIS delete and I bought a 2-inch Whiskey Bent tip with flat screen spark arrestor and it is a 45° angle. I am also going to stick with a foam filter with a outwear on it and with the air box lid removed. But I'm going to use a lid that has the outerwear on top of lid. We can only be 96 decibels here in Wisconsin so that is why I don't want to just get a slip on pipe I realize I'm not gaining huge power but I really don't need huge power. I think the Raptor stock is plenty fast I just wanted to breathe a little better and maybe keep my temps down. I see Alba Racing does an ECU ReFlash and now I noticed you did also. I was wondering if something like that is possible with just the flash for my little simple setup and if it will do any good for more power and to help keep temps down and maybe run not so lean?

if you have a scenario of parts i have a map for no other tuner is necessary. if you want to use a pcv/6 you can you would just start with a 0 map then tweak it with the external tuner

I've got a 2016 Kodiak 700eps. I've changed the starter 2x. I decided to check the decompression spring but it's fine. I checked my clearances on the valves and wow they're tight. I was having a hard time starting it and now I know why. I guess I'll be ordering shims today . Thanks for the video it really helped a lot. Much appreciated.
Thanks Eric, I have the EHS tuner with full barkers exhaust I was wondering if you can flash my ECU to not draw so much power in 5th gear due to the speed limiter or whatever it’s called?
What's a good place to get a Clutch Kit here in the States? I've heard of AD Clutching but that's in Canada. I have the OG EHS Tuner, Airbox Mod & Lid and Barkers Slip-on. Wanting to get the ECU Reflash, but not until Clutch Mod. Thanks.

In your opinion, is the roughly 13.5afr seen with the throttle plate removed at 11:42 (7k rpm?) unsafe for the bike? Afr at redline didn't seem to change with throttle plate removal, but at around 7k it's much different that stock, do you think that's lean enough to be harmful long term?
Any more progress with this rig? I have the exact kodiak 700 have clutxh kit and 29s would love to get more power but no one offers anything engine wise for the 708

I had a 2022 klx300ds and put on a delkavic slip on , Kdx snorkel and PCFC and it made good power. Sold that bike to my brother. I bought a 2023 klx300ds and went with this set up EHS tuner, barker exhaust and lidless air box. The 2023 pulls harder and is noticeably faster. Thanks for all the hard work guys.

Could spin 29.5 assassinators pretty easy with just deals clutch kit , so i imagine with the flash prob be great

Really appreciate this video. I have a powercommander 6 on my 2022 KLX300R. I know it has the power to control spark as well, but I'm having trouble confirming if spark is infact being controlled on my bike.
A fantastic and very well explained informative video on tuning the KLX300. Nice to see the solid performance gains from breathing and tuning optimization! I have 2 questions for you. 1, Would you be able to do a dyno test and tune with a set of aftermarket cams just to see if there are any gains available? 2, Do you have the ability to change the ignition mapping with your tuner, and if so do you expect that there could be further gains to be seen, especially with 93/98 MON/RON fuel? I don't expect many people to get into head porting or big bore kits, but a cam change and premium fuel are things that people may do to get the best power out of the 300 without internal engine work.
Will this tuner work on the Klx 300 non SM? Or are there better options out there?

My 2014 responded to the programmer very well. Lost 20 miles to a tank but running way better and will hit the limiter when i have tried it.
Part of being a mechanic or watching a video about machinery is to not be distracted. I cannot watch this video or work in a shop where another tech insists on loud music on all day.. Good mechanics use tools and devices (dynos, etc) of their senses to see,smell, hear and feel a repair work. Hence the road test . Hotel California was too much . Thumbs down. I'm checking out. Bye
The problem with the KLX is the cam timing on intake and exhaust are way off. If you swap the cam timing between the intake and exhaust you’ll gain 4-5 hp. No one gets this bike, it’s not made to rev 12000rpm like a Ducati that btw has almost the same cam timing.

True. But 4 horsepower is about 20% more power than stock. That’s an incredible difference. That’s like turning a 400 horsepower Mustang into a 500 horsepower mustang. You’ll definitely feel that 20%!
