- 9 Months later and we are back with the BMW E30! I have some major updates as far as the build goes and some change of plans that I will address in this video. We are one step closer to swapping in the S52 engine and finally being able to drive the car! I appreciate the patience!

Honestly, doing a retromod/OEM+ kind of vibe still seems viable and would really give this the attention it deserves. With how much work you did just to make the engine bay a show piece and how much you're doing now to make the S52 match it, it seems like a waste to let it just be a thrasher drift machine.
That engine bay is telling a beautiful story that will keep your fire many years from now. Keep it!!

Came across your video by accident. Been in the vintage BMW industry for fourteen years, fortunate enough to help/watch the resurgence in appreciation for these cars in that time. Looks like yoh started with a bit of a rough car, so I get the desire to switch to a drift toy route.
Please do not put your heart and soul into the notion you're going to see 300whp with a resealed S52 w/ ITB's. Assuming you're going to go with Rama's kit (RHD), and it's a nice choice, but it won't hit that number unless you're getting a little artificially creative on the dyno.
That being said, an E30 with 250-270whp naturally aspirated is one of the most fun driving cars you'll ever have. Great stuff so far, best of luck!

Great work on the engine bay👍.. def need a front sump e34 oil pan .. and retrofit ac using the e30 lines welded to the e36 ones.. trust me my e30 is hot on the summer

is it possible to do a S52 swap to my 328i E92?
Scrape seam sealer with a sharp wood chisel next time; it separates from the metal like butter. So does the factory undercoating. Most of the factory primer even stays on.
This is my jam. E30 is by far my favorite looking bmw. That and e34’s.
The s52 with itb’s is also going to be tits. Definitely the perfect power plant for the e30. Definitely a dream build of mine.
I should have bought an s52 when they were $1000 and an s54 when they were $2500!
Because each of those engines belong in different bmw’s that they came in haha

With all that custom fabrication why not make it a really nice street car? It seems like it would be a lot to maintain in terms of body work if something ever did go wrong which usually does in drifting. An E46 sounds like a great option, maybe a 330ci. Besides the more E30’s that are preserved the better.

Love the shirts on your site... only 1 critique.... I really wish the E90/E92 shirt had the proper M-sport bumper instead of the m sport overlay bumper.... I just hate the look of the oem non-m overlay lip.
The E90 shirts do have the proper M-sport bumpers. E92/E93 shirt just has the lip.

Your grinding off a lot of the metal. You look like a noob with a flap disk like a 36 grit . Your suppose to used like 120 or some thing closer to that with a pad instead of a grinder your making groves into the metal with it. Also make sure you primer because that will start to rust. Good luck bro
