- So, you might have already seen Hamish's M60 swapped e30 run and drive in a previous video, but here is more of what led up to that. This is the first car Hamish has ever built and you can see the stress of the deadline getting to him as time wound down. Give this guy some love in the comments for his awesome slicktop e30. FYI to all you m60 swappers who consider swapping, you cant get the engine in from the top with the trans on, the bell housing hits the tunnel and the oil pan gets stuck on the front core support so you have to remove the oil pan or do it like he did. On my m60 swap, I ran the e34 540 stock brake booster setup with custom welded bracketry for the best "stock" brake feel. (cheaper too)
Hamish worked his ass off on this E30 M60/62 swap. He put in the work & made a Monster 👹 of a BMW Congrats Bromigo. that was a pretty good cigar Louis came in clutch with that 👌.

fun to watch this progress... i think all true car guys have been there through the struggle. Its how you learn. Looking forward to getting my caged e30 on the road and maybe it will meet your m60 318is (rumor has it the m42 car out of your car, ill have to check if it has a vin stamp)

I'm interested in you guys brake plumbing/booster setup, as I noticed you are not using a retrofitted e34 booster setup.
I went for the wilwood manual setup! A pain to setup but works quite well, just an adjustment
Awesome build brother type are inspiring to get my swap done! You’re killing it.. impressed. What is the easiest way to go about the wiring and also what computer? Did you use a kit?
Thank you man! I went pretty head first into the wiring, e34 manual harness, I looked up a bunch of wiring diagrams and threw it together, really surprised it worked as well as it did haha! That being said finding any diagram and making sure to use the pinouts instead of the wire color is the way to go! We're sponsored by Sssquid tuning, Sssquid.com. Used stock m60, but just switched to garagistics poly mounts now that they’re available on their eebsite

what did you do for your driveshaft?
I used the front section from a manual e39 540 and the rear section from this 318is, had to get it shortened if I remember correctly

Hello brother I hope you are well greetings from Chile, I am in a swap identical to yours, I have a problem that it does not start, reviewing the diagrams I find that it has an immobilizer relay, the M60 has an immobilizer ??. why didn't you turn it on, could you help me thank you. 👍👍👍
With this swap I didn't have to mess with any immobilizer, could be a market difference between the countries, sorry

@@DENVERBEERANDOIL Great! By far you’re the first guy that ever said to me that its possible to do so. I have an e34 with an m20b20 motor in it. Never really like em. I have my uncle’s e32 (m60b30) with an auto tranny and I’m looking forward to swap em out. By the way I enjoyed watching your videos keep em coming dude peace
It's really not all that big of a deal you just need a donor car to get all the parts off of it it will be labor intensive for sure but it's definitely possible
e34 came out with m60s in them so its not a big struggle to do it :)
