This is just a suggestion, hehe. I noticed these small things... 1. In terms of story dialogue, it's really kind of hard to look at because sometimes full stop punctuations, comma, apostrophe, or even exclamation marks are missing. Ex. Hahaha. / Hahaha! / There's / Oh, 2. I also noticed this-E to interact. For this, I think it would be better if it's like this... Ex. [E] to Interact. 3. The name of character. It doesn't have enough/no space at all, making it also hard to look at... [GM]Splosion Ex. [GM] Splosion / [GM] Splosion These are just my two cents, hehe. As a writer myself, I just can't help but notice these small details. On a side note, I will definitely play this when it releases! Goodluck!
That's another good point, Character names can be hard to read on certain backgrounds due to the lack of a background for the text. Edit: Adding a drop shadow to the text could help a lot.
Hey! This is really amazing! Its got to be so hard to make an MMO by yourself. I hope to do it as well one day. Anyways, great job, and I wish you all the best!
How are you planning on handling the inevitable hackers and botters that always overrun all solo dev MMOs? It seems impossible to stop even if the game is fully server authorative and the client is just a dumb terminal. And if you resort to the tedious task of manually observing and banning people it's just a matter of time before someone will start DDoSing you in spite, bringing down the servers or worse: racking up thousands of dollars in server costs overnight. I know from experience.
Hackers will have a hard time "Hacking" anything if everything is server authoritative. DDoS can be prevented with really good network hardware, or a third party like Cloudflare I currently own the server hardware, so server costs are fixed. Botters and RMT are admittedly more difficult. I do believe a majority of botting problems exist due to publisher and dev apathy. My job and my hobby is creating automation and that has included MMO bots in the past. I have a pretty good idea what to watch out for. If I know what to look for, I can automate it. While I won't auto-ban anyone. I can auto-flag for review.
You could use coroutines and only load a specific amount of resources per frame, this way there would be even less lag or none when loading the resources after login.
@@EnricoBC true but coroutines act up in webgl. So I went with a more universal approach. I could restrict load per asset folder rather than an entire asset type per load. But this works well enough for now.
Everyone says don't make a MMO (or big game) as solo dev. I'm not listening to ANYONE! This is how it's done! Good luck to you!

Bro this is so awesome!
Why not load the assets in the background when the user is on the login screen?
WebGL does not support multithreading or I would
Lets gooo!! New devlog, new improvements, new details 🤩

Happy Halloween y'all 👻🎃
To think that Noia is someone that use drugs on Brazil make it way more funny than it can be haha
Cool
spooookay
Cool game
R u using multithreading?
Not really. THere is a seperate thread for logging to disk, but that is it for now.
@@noiadev Maybe you could use a seperate thread to load the assets. So the main thread doesn't "hang" while these are loaded :)
FIRST LIKE FIRST COMMENT ALSO GREAT GAME!
