I have to say, even though I don't play the game, I really enjoy the game development side of things, as a game dev myself, this is the part I enjoy. I have enjoyed watching your progress for the past year or so after finding your channel, and I'm still excited to see the new videos pop up every couple of weeks.

First off, amazing work, great progress, you must be really proud :) As for my favourite RPG... hmm I probably played WOW the most hours, but never consintently. Elderscrolls Oblivion I probably enjoyed most in the sense that fun per hours played (while it still were quiete a few) was high. What Im still missing, now as a husband is a really nice story focused coop rpg. Not a complex story (we just play casualay every few days) but a nice story with easy enough gameplay... we will see if noia will be that in the future :D
i use hotbars on my streamdeck in a relatable way, my right stick basically handles the hotbar split in 2 sets of 5 and L1 is the mode shift activation for that and other things regarding buttons for my right hand. R1 handles mode shift for double binds of various stuff regarding to the left hand.. i'd be looking forward checking out noia if it is on steam.
Personally, I cannot. The network library I use is Mirror for Unity. Those guys are pretty smart, they even have bug bounties. Past that I ensure any command from the client to the server is double checked against server side data to ensure safety.

Amazing work! I am very impressed with your dedication. Looks like a great game! Quick question, are you not using auto tiling for map building? It looked like you were manually placing each piece. Obviously do what works for you, but auto tiling saves tons of time! Also I love the voiced quest lines at the top of the screen! The only issue with that is it makes it harder to localize into other languages! 😂 If that's something you even want to do.
@@noiadev Yeah, the concept is nothing new, you could check on diablo games as those are isometrics , and have this feature . The character will move to the mouse cursor, while holding it down and saw in some isometric RPGS that the character is even looking at it (the mouse cursor). Could be useful, i don't know ^_^.
Nice I just hit feature complete of 40% on my project, but it's a big step, most of the rest of my work is not novel. So no real learning to do more or less all the systems are just for tying into.
Im developing my roguelike, its already playable and i have so much fun playing it with my family… i have first of four planned maps, but im already waiting steam so i can put this demo for play test. But i really want to start a devlog channels, but never had any skill of video editing :( im all about coding skills and a little of pixel art, but nothing of a video editor :(. How do you did it so wl making a video esch 2 weeks? Do you make it yourself?
Yep. I couldn't hand off the devlogs to an editor even if I wanted to. I write a script then realize I am missing footage for 90% of the stuff I am talking about, so I have to go record footage to match my script. Tuesday is script day, Wednesday is audio recording/cutting down audio. Thursday is video editing. You'll learn. Go back and look at some of my first videos. Devloging is another skill I had to get better at.

@@noiadev Are you using unity? 🤔 Update () is called every frame, but depends a lot of frame rate. FixedUpdate() is called each second ( using frame rate to adapt on seconds), this function is better use to move something cause they will not change with the frame rate, making a move smooth.

Apple requires a developer fee of $100/year, and the only way to export for modern Apple processors is to compile on a mac device. I don't have a mac, and I don't want to give apple any money. Maybe in the future. Mac players can still play in Safari, or any web browser that supports hardware acceleration.
Fun Fact: Noia in Brazil is slang for dr*g user. Great game, reminds me a lot of the classic Fantasy Online game (also the original dev is currently developing Fantasy Online 2, worth checking out)
"Indie (solo) dev MMO" is a very, very bad idea. The amount of content you need to create for a game of that genre will explode (a hundredfold) any serious scope evaluation.
pixel art just hurt my eyes , i don't know how people can play and enjoy such games , it feels like i am playing something 100 years old with 144P quality and no hardwork put in the game
You achieve the pinnacle of coding, you did really good. You merge the 3D into 2D game.. The game their no motivation no emotion, something the most important aspect of the game.. YOU MUST NEED A TEAM or a Company in order to achieve you dream game... First you need to create Demonstration how to play your game because player don't know how to play your game, just like they are dancing in your hand.
