How to Alter Armor in Elden Ring

For some reason I cant alter armor, even though I have the sewing toold and I'm talking to Boc. The garments arent even special garments, like aristocrat garment. Is this a bug? I remember in my first playthrogh to be able to alter Kaiden armor etc. Now I cant

@@Ypeezyyy I know. Thats not the point. In my first playthrough he couldve alter many more garments before I even picked up the golden sewing needle.

I think they broke armor alteration in a patch, because I have both needles and the kit, finished Boc's thing, and i have 2 options to alter out of the dozen pieces I have.
It doesn't seem right. My friend on PS4 has way more armor available to alter, and we have many of the same piece but somehow I can't alter them on my PC.

For some reason I can’t see my alterations. Like I go to altered garments I can see that I can select some thing pay for it but I actually don’t see a change on my character. Anyone else having this problem?

With weight loss comes stat loss. The altering of armor is stupid IMO. Yay, it weighs less. I could do that with wearing less heavier armor then which now has the same stats as the altered armor.

Is the Banished Night Armor just bugged? There's no option to change it back after altering it. Even new drops of the armor will be altered

You can alter almost anything you find, for demi-god attire you need the golden needle and golden tailoring tool. Still dont know how to alter helemts although.

1. its a demigod armor and you dont have golden tools

Boc seems to be missing and I can’t seem to find him. After I give him the needle he just vanished

I found out how to fix it. You gotta go in a grace first and alter your gear. After that he should appear. Hope it will help

3:56 he's there u gotta go Thur it side wall of castle outside and follow it, grace is there next to him once u sit and back out he's appear.

After that he was at the grace
