    Chi1 gua1 is one of the first slang expressions I learned. It gets used a lot to describe gossipy news, similar to the way American people use "sip tea" so it was easy to remember.

    Slang is not a countable noun. So it's not "slangs". It's just "slang."

      @@mlovmo I used “slang” first, but the auto suggestion suggested “slangs”, so I just thought I was wrong 😑

      @@JM_Shen Plural "slangs" has a slightly different meaning from what you want.

    It's not slang, it's called proverbs.
    Slang looks like "yo, bro".

      You can say one or two of them are proverbs, but the ones like 吃瓜、翻车、鸽子, they are not proverbs.
