🤯A buddy of mine, American, lives in Japan and speaks fluently but he studied Chinese in university FIRST before switching and knew SO many hanzi. Running around with him in Japan, I was always so jealous that he could read and pronounce most kanji using this similar method. Instant sub. 谢谢老师🙏🏾

Yes, you are right. Actually, 豕，豚, 肫 and 猪 all means pig, but only 猪 is used in modern Chinese， the others are mainly used in ancient Chinese.
