I made this tonight and used the leftover glaze with some chicken thighs in the instant pot. I watered it down a bit and added a bit of cider vinegar. My family is losing their marbles over it! 😅 Thanks! - Paula

What a beautiful recipe, and a festive way to serve a buffet. Your glaze includes some of my favorite ingredients, but I've never mixed them with maple before, so points for originality - at least to me! The flavors sound very fresh and bright. Now I'm all nostalgic for the traditional alder-smoked BBQ salmon at Blake Island, near Seattle. Salmon here in France is either farmed (I try to find Scottish) or wild Alaska pink; no sockeye for us. * snif *

You could, but it’s gonna lose most of the flavour. My advice is just go to Home Depot and get some cedar fence planks or something, they’re cheap and you can just cut a new one every time

My recommendation is to buy a new one each time. Some manufacturers say that if it's not too charred you can use it again, but I prefer a new one from a food safety standpoint.

Yes, you can use the glaze on all types of fish. And it's great on shrimp too!
I didn’t have Tamari or fresh ginger so l used light soy sauce and some dry ginger. Turned out great

Yes, you can use them in the oven. Just follow the instructions the same with soaking first.
How doe you clean the plank afterwards? Dishwasher?
They're single use. They're only a couple dollars and you throw them away afterwards.
Does this work on a charcoal grill as well? My husband just got a new Komodo Joe and we’ve been grilling and smoking like crazy.
