Gyroflow and Sony Cameras

- In this video I'm exploring the possibility to stabilise a video from the Sony A7IV with GyroFlow. The results are very surprising. GyroFlow is a free stabilisation software that uses the camera motion data to stabilise the video and it's better than any other way of stabilising, as long as the camera records the motion data ;)

This tutorial has changed filming vlogs for me. I've been experimenting with vlogging (on a different channel) using my Sony A7IV, but had been failing miserably. The gimbal was too much of a hassle, IBIS didn't provide sufficient stabilization, and Catalyst destroyed the quality of my footage. Recording in 4K 50p, stabilizing in Gyroflow, and adding motion blur with the ReelSmart Motion Blur plugin from RE:Vision Effects (I don't have Resolve Studio, so I needed to find a different way to add motion blur) finally gave me the butter-smooth stabilization with perfect quality. Highly recommend this method!
Hey! Nice to hear that and thanks for sharing. Cheers!
I need to correct myself, when I was writing IBIS I meant Active Steadyshot. I shoot with non-Sony lenses, that is Tamrons, Sigmas, Samyangs. I just discovered the Active Steadyshot is sh*t with third party lenses, but apparently looks buttery smooth with Sony lenses. Found a comparison in this video if anyone is curious ua-cam.com/video/toe3ou_2oFw/v-deo.htmlsi=Wf0W8xmgVPbwZ0Fs
Absolutely phenomenal content. Love the work and the quality. To top all that off the most valuable info... Hats-off. Keep going guys.
Hey thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Cheers a
excelent video, Maybe you should make the computation with catalyst browse too
Hello. Thanks a lot. Will try. Cheers!
Gyroflow has Linux version while Sony Catalyst Browse does not. A dream come true for Linux user. 😀
Hello! Thanks for sharing. I did not know that. Cheers!
I was reading Lumix Version. I was like what! Version made for my Lumix camera😂
How to use it for vertical footages?
Hello. Just record vertically.? I haven't tryed it but it should work ;). Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
If I want to shoot a 100fps with my A7IV, which SS would you raccomend? 1/500?
Hello. At least 1/200s. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens no issue with motion blur like 1/50 at 25fps? Thanks a lot :)
@@alfanicco The camera will record less motion blur if the shutter speed is set to 1/200s instead of 1/50s so no problem ;)
Works for Sony a6400??
Hello. Not sure. Try recording a video without any stabilization and open the video in Gyroflow. You will get a message if there is no motion data in the video file. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Fx3 to able??
Hello. I'm not sure
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Stabilizer function should be off when shooting with a camera!?
Yes. Everything off.
yes of course...as well as the sony a7SIII just make sure to use a higher shutterspeed for fast motion between 1/400 and 1/1000
Hello. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
