I love how for one moment it looks just like random strokes or brushes or cuts and suddenly makes it into something amazingly convincing.

Ppl don't think paint be like it is, but it do.
The thing is is that it's not random at all. It's an understanding of what certain techniques do, and what you're trying to achieve with the painting. It takes YEARS of hard work and constant painting to reach Ross' level, but remember, it's never just random strokes.

As a Christian, im glad you are able to see his wholesomeness.. but it is because God worked in his life to help him become a man he wanted to be. Without God, we are all lost, and create our own moralities. It is precicely his faith, and sharing of his faith.. using his gifts for the glory of God, through his principals that you are seeing this. If you are tired, christ tells us to come to him, and he will give us rest.
Maybe you should pray, and spend more time with the creator who made you, and you will see, that his way, above our way is what is best for our souls. Bob Ross's character is formed by his relationship to God. It is God who should get the glory, not us, although we can glory with him.

I have been watching multiple episodes of Bob Ross every night to help my mental health during quarantine and this painting is one of my favorites!
I feel like he's genuinely glad that people joined him today, not just saying it cause it's the script like some other shows.

Used to watch him with my kids, now as a retired nurse during Covid he is back in my life teaching me techniques (never oil painted before but did acrylics, will not go back to them) In past 3 months I have done 50 landscaped paintings of Northern Ontario beauty spots and sold many both at shows and on line! How I wish he were alive so I could thank him! All my kids and grandkids are also having Bob Ross painting evenings . Maybe somehow he knows...,

Bob Ross is so positive in my opinion he is the best artist that gives positive tutorials about art. His voice is so chill and soft. I do his art a lot and I've been listening. And every single time I do a painting and he is making clouds. I hear...... "Where do your clouds live in the sky." I just want to say thank you Bob for being so positive. Your so positive and a great artist. Your comparisons are awesome. I love it when you beat up the brush. You are awesome!!!!!

Even though I don't paint (yet), I can't help but appreciate all the little techniques that he shows. Then it occurs how many people also notice, and there's a whole world of skilled painters out there who have never yet painted anything, but know exactly how.
