After watching this I realized that the saddest story in my opinion is that of the didact. He was a great man until he was betrayed literally by his comrade in arms. After this he had to endure torture and abuse from the gravemind for who knows how long. After this the gravemind quite literally tore his mind apart making him unstable and rash. This led him to do a lot of very cruel and disturbing things which led to the prometheans. This guy murdered millions of humans in a desperate attempt to save his universe. He did not realize what a terrible action this would be viewed as and ended up being shot by his loved one . I mean that must really suck

He dealt with the corruption of the Master Builder to be imprisoned in a Cryptom for 10,000 years to try to desperately save the Ecumene to be driven in even worse madness that left him stranded in another Cryptum for 100,000 years alone and isolated from everything because of the firing of the Halo Array.
@@rainphantom7024 listening to the Ancient Humans who warned them of the Flood in the first place instead of genociding them and forcefully erasing their culture and relics and humiliating their entire collective progress through forced devolution to instead of working together to fight the Flood would’ve been better and would’ve 100% worked out too. Having both Forerunner and Ancient Human, literally the two most powerful species in the galaxy at the time...the Flood would’ve hardly stood a chance
@@DaMasta981 This is definately true, but you have to remember that ancient humans started glassing worlds that were infected with the flood under forerunner space. The forerunners didn't know of the flood so this really did look like the ancient humans were waging war. It was only very late into the war that the forerunners realised that the humans were running from something (the flood), as opposed to invading their territory

The forerunners are absolutely creepy. Interesting, but I preferred when they were just a mystical race with technology we couldn't understand but was so advanced.

I like knowing about the Forerunners, altho the mystery was really cool too. The precursors however? They should definitely stay as mysterious enigma.
I'm the same, but my big gripe is bringing them into the games. Especially as bad guys, because they have to be beaten by chief with his crappy technology somehow and it just makes them look like a bunch of mooks and dumbasses.

2. That's exactly what happened. The Flood is capable of surviving patttern transfer techniques. A metaphysical strain of the Flood infection survives the composition of infected beings and their pattern's imprint onto new uninfected bodies and the infection just starts again in the new body thus the new body rotting and dying. This is due to the Flood corrupting a person's pattern(the closest thing a human would call a soul) so completely that it can't be reversed or removed. This may be due to the Precursors embedding their laws into the very genetics and molecules of their creations.
The thumbnail is that poor doctor in H4 who got incinerated...me and. My best friend couch co opted the campaign when it first dropped,and when that scene happened, we looked at each other like...damn bruh....what a horrid way to die...only to have your soul held captive until a Spartan puts a hyper dense titanium knife in your chest...
Even then, there's no reason to think the soul even gets released when the promethian is destroyed, the soul might just be sent back to whatever those artifacts are that hold the promethian souls until a new body is built for them.

In the game yeah, in the books... she was the one responsible for developing bioweapons to be used on elites and REALLY wanted to deploy them after testing them on Jul. she is also responsible for Jul's escape because she is a dumbass.
If someone says that the Forerunners are a benevolent society, I will have to show this video to them to prove them wrong.
There are SOME extenuating circumstances, like when the Humans took over some planets even without Flood being there.

sure peace is nice and preferable but
forced peace like what the forerunners did led to a unnatural stagnation that only benefited the forerunners at the top (who themself s held 3 mil worlds....you know some of those they had to have taken by force in the past)
war for all its ugliness is a needed part of evolution
and the forced demilitarization of the Galaxy was basically the only reason the flood did so well
So pretty much, the master builder is to blame for a lot of things.
Yeah, Faber really fucked over pretty much everything and everyone in the Galaxy during his lifetime. Though he technically also saved it by constructing the Halo rings. And then screwing it by using the Halo over Charum Hakor, releasing the primordial, and it in turn turning mendicant bias. And then screwed it again, again by essentially just giving the Didact to the primordial and driving him batshit insane, which lead to the whole Cortana situation. So overall net loss for certain.

They only liked Humanity more because they cherished their own diversity while Forerunners were more stagnant.
Could Faber be still around? I know that some think that he's dead, but what if he's not? Maybe he's the one behind all the strange stuff. Like how the Spirit of fire got to the Ark. The Guardian appear over the Halo ring in Halo wars 2. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was one who had a hand in creating them. He created the rings and helped create Mendicant Bias so who knows.

Thank you Rtas Vadumee. Another theory just came to mind as i watched HiddenXperia's video again. What if Faber planted his geas in humanity as well and it was in Dr. Halsey. How this came up was in the video as HiddenXperia was explaing how Faber was trying to extract human geas that left them disfigured and then it shows who i believe was the Master Chief looking at the scars on his arms and hands after the highly lethal spartan 2 augmentation process, it in time frame 5:50 - 6:03. Dr. Halsey made Cortana from her cloned brain so Cortana might have Faber's geas as well. This also might explain her behavior. Oooh i just got goosebumps.
holice kaderli III cortana could actually be part faber, and the forerunner aspect of her was activated when she travelled to requim. Another reason cortana could be faber or forerunner, is that in halo reach we see that she was made with part forerunner tech. It would explain how she can control all the forerunner tech in halo 4 and 5.
Exactly! Cortana during her rampancy episodes might of had some of Fabers personality. And since those parts of her were the ones that survived the trip to the Domain it makes sense.
You're right! If you hear Xperia talk about fabers sadistic personality, then compare it with done of the things cortana says and does during her rampancy, they start to seem quite similar. And her surviving in the domain could be because of the faber/forerunner that is inside her

Actually the Precursors didn’t fight back they were surprised of the anger the Forerunners were unleashing. If they did fight back the forerunners would of been obliterated.

No. Truth could in theory seed new life in the galaxy himself if he could make use of the technology on the Ark to do it since it has an archive with all the samples of each indexed species there I think.
Truth may have SUSPECTED the true purpose of the Rings, but perhaps was not sure. The old Halo Encyclopedia suggested he hoped he was wrong once he lost High Charity, and that he might ascend after all.

Could you please do a vid about the domain? I don't fully understand It, it was destroyed during the forerunner-flood war but it's in Halo 4&5?
the domain is like the forerunner intergalactic internet (as far as I understand it) obviously it is more advance and has other functions. The domain was shut down to prevent the logic plague from spreading (I could be wrong because it has been years since I read the books). fun fact: slip-space jumps disrupt the domain to a degree, and the halo array firing really wrecked the domain. Think it was noted that the damage was not permanent but did take a while for it too heal.
Thinking back on it, the domain may have been shut down to stop the logic plague from spreading but may have turned out that mendicant bias turned it off to keep the forerunners confused.
Seems like it shut ITSELF off, being self aware. The Halo blast wiped the data, but in Halo Fractures, we learn how surviving Forerunners tried to fix it somewhat, so it could begin healing. Cortana's arrival inside of it may have further sped it along.
the most disturbing thing i have learned after watching all of this guy's videos is that HiddenXperia is infact a precursor, it's the only explanation of the amount of information he has about the halo universe

The halo history is absolutely amazing.
However my biggest issue is how a race as intelligent as the forerunners could fall victim to such petty emotional strife. Because they didn’t get what they want they genocide their creators?
Such intelligence, I can imagine, would lead to control and clarity over emotions not rampant unchecked bullshit like that.
And like the diadact and faber. The forerunner populations must have been in the hundreds of billions. So this begs the question what kind of government or ruling system existed for a population so large that just a few main forerunners could lead a whole race into ruin.
