You forgot about devils sight. Throwing darkness over yourself and merking people that can’t hit you back is bonkers

I’m new to BG3 and this is one of the first videos I watched. I don’t usually do this but after watching it I’m obligated to like, comment and subscribe. You seem so genuine and you make high quality content. Will keep watching🙏🏻

Really enjoyed watching this video! I already play a Warlock - it's always nice to see other's that show passion when talking about them. :)
Eldritch Blast is so darn impressive! Always a fan of that spell and seeing it get more and more broken powerful. :D It's insanity that it's merely a cantrip!

5 levels warlock and 7 levels fighter for the Eldritch Knight ability will allow you to attack with your bonus action after you cast eldritch blast. It will also give you some spell slots. Cool channel.

(Incoming Long message from a person who is far more nerdy than the words "Sorcery Points")
Warlock Paladin, easy, not all Paladins are good, not all warlocks are bad. Sure, Fiend warlocks are a bit harder to manage- but if you are part of a Neutral/War/Evil order and doing say- Vengeance or Oathbreaker, it's quite simple. The others can also easily fit the bill, an Ancients Paladin could easily have a Feywild Patron, granting you power to help you in your guardianship of nature.
Fey isn't just pixies and faries- it can also be hags, Dryads, Nymphs, Eladrin nobles, or even powerful archfey like the Witch Queen herself Tasha (aka Zybilna, Natasha, Adopted Child of Baba Yaga- the creator of Tasha's Hideous Laughter and numerous other spells). You could even be granted power by a talking spider that weaves a fake beard out of spidersilk and wears a wizard hat. Many archfey are chaotic or flighty by nature so you can expect them to have random demands, sometimes asking you to track someone down who harmed a tree they liked, sometimes just wanting you to track down sweets for them to eat, or maybe they want you to do something a bit less friendly over something that seems pretty minor to you. They are often more forgiving but a bit more bothersome than devil pacts. At least with devils they usually know not to push their pact bearers too hard (unless they are ready to be rid of them or are trying to collect their soul by making them break the pact). Granting a bit of power to someone who they are going to occasionally use the influence they gain for their own benefit is a trifling amount of work. They can even offer rather good terms without loopholes and they hold true to their contracts as is their lawful way. Great old one is both one of the easiest and most terrifying. Some patrons of this pact are totally unaware that some mortal has begun to leach off of their great power, thinking the strange dreams of a mortals life on some far away world are nothing more than a dream. Other times it is extremely deliberate in granting its power and trying to achieve a goal or situation which can be mundane, or terrifying. Either way, usually the most common cost of being the patron of a great old one is one day, coming to terms with the absolute mind breaking realization that you may have connected with something so uncaring and insidious that it could twist you apart with a thought, unmake you, remake you and might already completely control everything you think and feel- even if you actually go your entire life with out it ever making a single demand or even knowing you are there and getting its power. As is appropriate with all the psychic bonuses, the cost is often all in your head.
Not featured in the game is the Hexblade, where your pact is with a powerful intelligent weapon or a spirit that inhabits one. So if a paladin came across a holy sword with a mind of its own from a previous paladin, they could impart some of their power to the wielder making them a hexblade warlock/Paladin. Then we also have the Genie pact, where you make a pact with one of the many Elemental Jinn creatures and gain magic from that, including the ability to go into a ring/bottle/trinket/lamp to sleep in a magical room you can use for storing all your cool stuff, while your bird familiar/companion picks it up and flies it to your next location, traveling in comfort. So plenty of options especially when you go beyond the game (Or you can get mods- i think someone finished making a Hexblade mod). There is also the Celestial Pact, really good for a Good Paladin, serve a god, and have power granted to you by one of their underlings to make you more powerful to aid your god.
Side notes- You can change the game to use Imperial rather than Metric if that makes it easier for you, or for people who play D&D it helps a lot since the game is designed with 5ft squares in mind.
Pact of the Tome is supposed to let you pick 3 cantrips from any spell lists but you use your charisma as your spellcasting ability. but for whatever reason they didn't do this.
Slow is not an area of effect, you pick targets within range so it can't hit your allies.
Hold Person/Monster is a single target lockdown that gives a save, the benefit from it is all melee attacks against them are critical hits automatically, if you hit. So if you are doing blaster, it's not great and kinda has a low success rate. Other control spells are much better.
Armor of Agathys scales with level of spell you cast it at- and warlock is always highest level you can cast. It's great especially if you can get damage reduction. The Temp hp sticks around longer and deals out damage longer. The damage it deals doesn't go down as the temp HP goes down. So if you have 25 temp HP you are doing 25 damage to anyone who hits you, even if you only have 1 temporary HP remaining.
Cloud of Daggers - Not sure how you dont mention they run out of it- and you push them back into it with an eldritch blast.
Savage Attacker - Mathematically, not really that great.
Witchbolt - Is a trap, it generally sucks. The big die of damage seems good, but it's a low level spell so most things are dying fast and it doesn't allow a free recast and it uses up concentration and your action over and over to do minimal damage. Also, if you miss the first attack - grats, total waste because now you can't even do its turn to turn damage.
Do stupid long comments help with engagement more than short ones? If so- hope this helps, if not- sorry? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Im already a level 3 warlock. Is it worth going 2 levels into Fighter for getting action surge? Or should I just stay a pure warlock so that I don’t miss out on the 3rd spell slot that’s given at level 11
