Led zeppelin, GOAT of rock n roll in all aspects, each member was musically gifted, a true gift for those who got to see them live.
I just watched this again for like the 50th time. Your reaction was absolutely honest and beautiful.
Wow, thank you! That’s amazing, I’m so glad u enjoy this reaction so much🥹🙏🏼
Great reaction, great song. You are absolutely correct to listen to the studio version first before any live version. The studio version is how the band wanted people to hear the song, and it makes you appreciate the live better later on. (This is true for all songs).
Glad you mentioned doing more Zeppelin... Fool in the Rain (my fav LZ song), Going to California, Ramble On, Whole Lotta Love, 10 Years Gone, Over the Hills & Far Away, When the Levee Breaks, All My Love... they legit have 50 or so amazing songs.
The mighty Zeppelin!
50 YEARS LATER IT ONLY GETS BETTER!
Hee, hee, hee. LED ZEPPELIN conquers another amazed and dazed soul. In my opinion they are the ‘go to’ if you want a journey into rock & roll. Bitten by the Zeppelin bug the year I graduated high school…..1969.
They are a simmering volcano that can erupt at any time...musical beasts!
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
2024 will be my 50th year with Zeppelin. Hope you enjoy them as long as I have.
I think one of the unique things about Zeppelin is their combination of power and sophistication. The more you listen to their tracks, the more you hear.
Zeppelin are a combination of hard blues and creative rock. They came out of the very competitive London rock blues scene of the late 60's, that included Cream and the Jimi Hendrix experience.
Yes, Led Zeppelin will take you places.
If you can , that is UA-cam doesn't block it...watch the Madison Square Garden version it's almost twice as long as the one from the Royal Albert hall.....you will be amazed...nice reaction by the way.👍
That’s coming next🙏🏼thanks for watching😊
Led Zeppelin is for the ADVANCED music listener. 👍👍👍😎
Great reaction,,,,🤪
2:40 that wierd sound is jimmy playing electric guitar using a cello bow!!! the singer and drummer were 20 years old when they did this album!
Oh ok wow🤯🤯thanks for letting me know
@@journeymariereacts great reaction keep going especially with the mighty Led Zeppelin 👌
call and response with voice and guitar. guitar was being played with a bow. this is what I was hearing brand new in high school in early 70's
Please do "Babe Im Gonna Leave You" next.
And then..
"Whole Lotta Love"
"I Cant Quit You"
"Since Ive Been Loving You"
"Kashmir"
"Ramble On"
"Immagrant Song"
"Rock and Roll"
Too many good ones to list them all lol
Thank you for reacting to the greatest rock band on planet Earth Led Zeppelin my little desert flower. More please from Physical Graffiti . until next time stay well
The GOATS....FOR EVER!!!!!!!!😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
All hail Led Zeppelin🤘
Dazed and confused live at Nyc 1973 is the best. You'll love it!
The song It is like trying to explain in music and sound effects the depression of being dazed and confused ..It is the roller coaster of being heartbroken and trying to deal with it ..
Genuine late sixties psychedelic acid hard rock right here.
Always listen to studio version 1st, then see how they handle it live.
Yes! Thank you! I've told so many people the exact same thing. The only performances i can think of from back then that i like more than the studio version is Santana - "Soul Sacrifice (Woodstock 1969)" & The Beatles - "Don't Let Me Down (Apple rooftop)" Apart from those Pearl Jam's "Black" from their MTV Unplugged show.

THE GOAT’s!!!!!
💯💯💯💯🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite Rock Band! You're on a wonderful journey. Check out Jimi Hendrix & The Doors.
Wait!!!!! Live is other worldly!😎👍
I like when you fanned yourself during the song Marie! This is a hot song!
When these guys first got together it was an explosion of amazing music. The first album was like a long orgasm.
Great reaction..keep adding to your portfolio of music..I remember my 1st time back in 70's
This may be my favorite song....that's saying so much
The 29 minute msg show from 72 in my opinion is just insane. But it's getting hard to find on UA-cam.
And THAT is what we boomers were listening to 53 years ago, long before you were born.
You did look a bit dazed and confused by the end. Welcome to the pinnacle of rock. Might as well check out the rest of this album and just go on to the next one.
Hi Marie: This is the first time I've had the pleasure to see any of your reaction videos and I enjoyed it very much! I will be looking for some more from you and wish you every success in the world with your channel!!
Thank you so much!! That means a lot😊🙏🏼
Definitivo!!😌⚡⚡⚡
Thank, so glad you enjoyed
u so funny! Ive heard these songs a zillion times but its great to see someone experience them for the first time
Love your Zeppelin reactions!
Hope you will react to dazed and confused live in madison square garden 1973. Thanks! Happy Zeppelin will be a regular on your channel!
I agree with your choice of studio recording over the live versions. Studio recordings are the bands own choice of the best the track can be. Live versions lack the sound fidelity, acoustic balance. Personal performance by each band member is affected by being tired from touring, and natural artistic variations over the studio version.
Your Led Zeppelin reactions are so funny and entertaining: If music was drugs.
Lol thanks for watching😊
Great Reaction Dear! Glad you took The Time to at Least Learn Robert Plant's Name! And you are Clever to Listen to the Studio Versions First! Till next time. Peace, & Love ✌️
Loved this so much ( crazy ) and btw u r gorgeous
Thank you🙏🏼😊
One more will impress you: Lemon Song from their second album . . .
The part where Jimmy and Robert are interacting is largely known as call and response. Your reactions to Led Zeppelin are beautiful
Thank you so much🙏🏼❤️
Loved your reaction. Zeppelin songs make you feel like you've been on a roller coaster!
Always love seeing younger minds finding old school. Thank you for taking the time Marie. Keep digging!!
& thank you for watching😊
Please start with the 1st album and then keep going. You will be blown away. Greatest Band of all time. Enjoyed your reaction.
Thank you for watching🙏🏼😊
I was grinning my face off watching you haha
Make sure if you react to it live that it’s live at Madison square garden 1972. They were at their peak then. And it’s insane
26 minutes, but well worth the time to see a true guitar master in action
It’s 1973 actually and page was def on fire at those shows. But Roberts voice was gone by then. Imo 1970 was def their peak. Royal Albert Hall 1970 is way better than MSG ‘73.
Zosomoso,
Yes and no. I love both the RAH and the MSG performances. Nothing Zeppelin did at the RAH tops The Rain Song and Since I've Been Loving You at MSG 👍.
@@lyndoncmp5751 I agree those were great performances but as a whole, the band was firing on all cylinders during RAH. I prefer everything including Page’s tone with the Hiwatt amps as opposed to the Marshall Plexi’s he used for MSG.
smart move hearing studio version first. cheers
For an interesting comparison, Look up the version of this song performed by The Yardbirds (The Blues -Rock group that morphed into the Led Zeppelin) The singer was Keith Relf. He only had one lung, but he sang his ass off. You should be find two copies - a live version from a French TV show, and on the album "Yardbirds '68". You also might want to check out the Jake Holmes version from his 1967 album "The Above Ground Sound" of Jake Holmes.
Do yourself a favor and React to the
Dazed and Confused
Live version @MSG NYC 1973
28+ minutes of phenomenal musicianship
Enjoyed your reaction
O ya that song has a little bite too it 👌 .
You can not go wrong starting at album 1, song 1 and take the journey through their career. You channel will explode and so will you your mind lol.
Btw if you do this one live and have the time, do the one from the "song remains the same" live at Madison Square Gardens. It's just under 30 mins but it's absolutely incredible.
I'll subscribe now cuz I know there will be more zep on here
This album came out in 1968; Robert Plant (singer) was only 19.
BTW Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is considered by many the greatest guitar player ever. I have Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Jimmy Page as my top 3.
Thank you
Great reaction!
Thank you!! 😁
Love the video Marie stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way Queen
Great react.
I always read this one as the titanic ups and downs of being hot for someone who just jerks your heart around. Playing off your lust and your want and your insecurities and hope. I think the modern term is "Toxic". But all the feeling are HUGE! Too much for any poor soul to handle. Phew! I remember the times.
You looked pretty dazed and confused yourself there, so mission accomplished.
Definitely😊🤣
You ought to react to Since I've Been Loving You studio version of Zep
It’s on the list👌🏻😊
Pop music today is very commercial and formulaic. It has a beginning, middle and an end. Sometimes a nice instrumental in the middle. It has a beat, and a vibe and a tone, and is in one key. That is the formula that people expect. Zed Zeppelin was born within a time of experimentation. They often changed beats, vibes, tones and keys, even within the same song. And it worked to varying degrees. The main thing I like about THIS song is that it is very early but even know you can hear that the drummer is the genius that holds it all together. Jimmy page is good but he hasn't peaked yet. Robert Plant is uninhibited in his vocals, John Paul Jones is the glue that you don't notice as much but that holds some of these "crazy" songs together against all odds. That opening riff was unlike anything anybody had ever heard before. It wasn't just the dark threatening tone it had, much of the SOUNDS that this song has in it came from Jimmy Pages Guitar, and this was before computers and modern synthesizers. If you notice in the middle of the song when Plant is making random sounds he is ANSWERING the strange sounds coming from pages guitar, echoing them with his voice. You might feel a little beat up if you are used to very tight formulaic modern music. But give Led Zeppelin a chance. They really had something and they rolled with it and many of their songs are just amazing. This was some early stuff, and believe me, it was like nothing anybody had ever heard before. It was uninhibited, experimental, and inspired, and it only got better with more practice and the skills that only time and practice can provide. Databyter
Thank you for this breakdown I really appreciate it🙏🏼& thanks for watching😊can’t wait to hear more of zeppelin!
This is crazy! Lol
Tupac was one of the first to sample a Led Zeppelin song. It's called Ten Years Gone if you're interested. Being a Tupac fan I thought it might interest you.
Definitely adding to the list👌🏻👌🏻
Diggin your braids too
Thanks😊
Not sure if you have reacted to it yet, but listen to How Many More Times from the same album!
They’re heavily influenced by blues music too. Blues might be a genre you need to react to more. Great reaction👍
Now you know what the 1970's sounded like 😂😂😂
Zeppelin made so many innovative choices their own (such as the Call & Response on this one). Loved the reaction, you just may turn out too be a “rock chick” (not derogatory lol) after all. Here’s one that’s up every ladies’ alley. Try “The Rain Song,”if you haven’t already. Enjoy the channel.
My reaction to the rain song is on my channel😊😊
@@journeymariereacts I got you girl! Love the Zeppelin rabbit hole.
Reaction = Title of song.🤣 I suggest holding off on the live version until you get a well-rounded perspective of the Zeppelin catalog, because that one can be a bit much even for a seasoned fan!
This is a reworking of a song originally recorded by American singer/songwriter Jake Holmes. The Yardbirds (the band Jimmy was in before he created Zep) used to do a version but Jimmy reworked it again for Zep. The vocals and guitar going back and forth is what's called a "call and response" and was used often in blues songs. If you listen carefully, while they do that, the bass and drums are having a call and response of their own. The odd sounds in the middle were created by Jimmy using a violin bow on his guitar. He wasn't the first to do it, however it's become synonymous with his name due to his effectiveness with it. Here's a link for the 28-minute performance from Madison Square Garden; the video quality isn't as good as I hoped, however, I think they removed the really good quality link from UA-cam. ua-cam.com/video/kjNMq_2YMqw/v-deo.html
Thanks for this comment, I’ll definitely be reacting to their live performance next👌🏻
When you have the time or are ready for it.........watch their live movie titled "The Song Remains the Same" recorded in early '70's at Madison Square Garden!!! Will take you on a journey for sure!!! Love your honest reactions!! Very refreshing!!!
Will do! & thank you so much for the kind words😊🙏🏼
You need to take a deep dive into Pink Floyd next, it’s another all time great band. Start with Time or Comfortably Numb
Posting my comfortably numb reaction today actually!!
Hey Marie! Another great reaction! Do you think you can do Jay Electronica Better intune with the infinite. And or Stevie Wonder That girl
Definitely👌🏻👌🏻thanks for the recommendations
@@journeymariereacts Good looking out Marie 👍🏿
JOURNEY! what up woman! When you putting out the next reaction?

Please play Fresh Air by Quick Silver Messanger Service.
This is jus small taste u should see it live dazed n confused 1973 from New York Madison square garden it's 28 minutes long
That’s on the list🙌🏻
there are 2 bands that can go from here to there led zep and pink floyd
How bout that for late 68 , early 69?
Please stay with these masterful bands. Life is too short for mediocrity. So many crap bands out there. Subscribing due to your content. Keep going.
Explanation of the song:... he confronts the cheating woman...ahhh, ahhh ahhh, she seduces him... until the "climax" when he "sends her the bill", (he doesn't pull out but impregnates her!)
Call response comes from the blues it was not their innovation, after all blues is the roots of rock. They were a great band but many of their songs are covers of old blues tunes they pick- up the tempo and volume on them that's all. In their career, Led Zeppelin recorded many songs that consisted, in whole or part, of pre-existing songs. They sometimes credited those sources; sometimes not. The band has been sued a number of times over it. Great band yes, wholly original, not!
Try to listen to LZ studio recordings before you watch them perform the same song live. The recordings are masterpieces and set the bar.
Their live performances, hang on to your hat. LZ considered themselves a Jam Band. The band members are all so uniquely and creatively talented at the highest level, you can watch them perform the same song live at 10 different venues and they won’t play the song the same way twice. They just jam out. Knowing just how talented each of them are, makes watching their live performances a thrill to witness.
