jimmy absoluteyl did make the guitar SING AND CRY. there are lots of technically great guitarists but very VERY few who can have a conversation using it
Sad,y we don’t have anything anywhere near this type of band anymore. But then again, they are Led Zeppelin. Greatest band. Of all time
Nobody could do it live like Zeppelin!
I kinda more like the cleaner Studio Version.
We DEFINITLY do not have music like this anymore. Man, I wish we did. We feel a lot less in our music these days. At least commercial radio. You'll find gems on college stations and NTS Radio. But this was something else. Nobody ever shredded the shreds out of their guitar like Page does in this. Thanks for reacting. Love that you're feeling and appreciating it so much.
This song (and performance) shows how the band can go from sensitive emotion and blues to absolute fireworks in an instant. As you say, they all get to shine and show off their amazing skills. They are one of those bands that produces albums of songs that are completely different from each other, versatile and creative.
Zeppelin ruled the universe. I fell in love with “THAT VOICE” in 1970. Then about a month later I saw them on a magazine. I about had a sheer heart attack because seeing that blonde curly mane of hair. I appreciate each of them but Robert is my ❤️my husband laughs at me . I say hey it’s been 52 years that’s dedication
Epic live performance. They ruled the 70s.
After drummer, John Bonham, died, they were over. No genre. Soul, funk, blues... the best EVER.
Your reaction was priceless. They are the Blues Rock Gods.
Lol I was shockedddd
This song is over 50 years old and still is better than most
PSA: I’m sorry I cut out too much of the guitar solo, I wasn’t sure if you all would want to watch me sit there if I’m not doing much reacting but I’ll definitely cut out much less if any at all in the future! Thank you for your patience seeing as I’m just getting started & still learning🙏🏼😊
LOL, NEVER cut out ANY of a guitar solo. Or anything for that matter. We can always ff past stuff we don't want. Oh and when dealing with Robert Plants "tight pants" it's more than fine to comment about how tight they are. LOL.
I want to see your expressions throughout the entire performance. I would actually suggest that when you stop too say something that you back up the performance 10 seconds when you start playing it again.
Great job!
Please don't cut any. You deserve to hear it all.
You GET IT. The music of Led Zeppelin makes you FEEL. You also pointed out how they all shine. Jimmy Page stated in an interview that the music of Led Zeppelin was designed to FEATURE every band member. You have great instincts.
Thank you so much for this comment, I really appreciate it🙏🏼
This is the best rock and roll band of all time 😉
This is soul!!!
THE GOATS OF GOATS. ICONIC PERFORMANCE! They only get better! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you're enjoying Led. My own reaction to this performance definitely cemented my love for Led. Definitely recommend "Whole Lotta Love", "When the Levee Breaks", "Black Dog", and "Kashmir".
I definitely am😊 & thank you for the recommendations, I’ll get to them asap!!
You're headed in the right direction... It's your feeling(s) for the music more than your editing choices IMO, and you've got that feeling right down to your bones! I'm everyday so grateful to have been a young teen when these great bands -- the Beatles, the Stones, the Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, ELP, Pink Floyd, Yes, and Zepp -- first came out; the concerts were unimaginably incredible!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for not giving me a hard time about the editing, I really appreciate it🙏🏼
When I was a kid in the 70s we used to pop Led in the 8 track player smoke some weed and pass the bottle round. We had some good music back in the day
Zeppelin is for everyone!
I will tell you there is no music like this nomore! Lol they are mesmerized and high as F&@k as was the band also! I saw them a few years later at MSG in 76! They were exceptional!❤
The GOAT by The GOAT!
Its the blues baby
Glad you loved this song and they definitely have stage presence which is why it's good to see live performances. The ladies especially seem to like the live reactions to be mesmerized by the Golden God frontman Robert Plant 😉 Don't chop out any of the songs we love it all in it's entirety 🤘
I definitely won’t cut any more out of the future reactions, thank you so much for watching!!
New subscriber... cool to see someone new to Led Zeppelin discover their songs. There are a ton of amazing bands but in my opinion there are none who have the sheer volume of great songs as LZ. The Beatles maybe but that's it. I always recommend the studio version before a live version, although this one was pretty amazing. Other great Led Zeppelin songs to consider reacting to: Fool in the Rain, Dazed & Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, When the Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Ramble On, Rock & Roll, Black Dog... and of course Stairway to Heaven
Thank you so much for subscribing, I’ll definitely get to those asap!!
Beautiful song..Beautiful girl 👧..
They didn’t call Robert the golden god for no reason 🙌🏼
And you didn’t let it finish. And you’re right there is no music like that any more. In my time of Dying...Earls Court 1979. 🤯
I’ll definitely let it finish in my next reaction of them🙏🏼
It's called blues and it's GREAT blues at that!
Artists and Musicians. simple.
They are the GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s called the BLUES! 😎
I was lucky enough to grow up in the 70s as a teen and saw Led Zeppelin in Oakland Day On the Green Oakland Stadium July 1977. It was the last North American Concert for this incredible band. They left Oakland bound for New Orleans for more shows on the tour when tragedy struck the band. Robert Plant the lead singer's 4 yr old son Karac died from an infection. They canceled the rest of the tour flew back to the UK and never played again in the US. The next time they played was 1979 at Knebworth in England. Then in 1980 their great drummer John Bonzo Bonam died and that ended Led Zeppelin. The dream rock n roll band. The greatest Rock band ever. They played at Live Aid in 1985 with a Phil Collins but it was not the same. Very good but not the original Zep. No one could ever replace Bonzo. So there you have it, you can see how special this band was and will forever be and has influenced so many bands and their music and have left deep impressions with the rest of us. When you play Zep you have to play them loud to really appreciate every aspect of their music. Both Jimmy Page on guitar and Robert Plant on vocals took everything to another level and about 10 more levels above the first level if that makes sense, not to forgot the great John Paul Jones on bass and keyboards and many other instruments, he was a master and the great Bonzo on drums. Simple but so complex. Words can hardly do justice to Led Zeppelin and their music. The good thing is they will live on forever in their music.
That’s so sad about his son😢😢thank you for this informing comment🙏🏼
They are better live, if that’s possible! The GOATS!😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Zeppelin have a huge catalog... They're a pure blues band
Maybe the greatest song ever recorded
Starting with Led Zeppelin is a never ending love and journey. The more you listen the more you love these guys❤️keep on going❤️
I definitely will!! Thank you for watching🙏🏼
@@journeymariereacts thank you for choosing these guys!! What a history of rock music!!! What I can suggest (I think somebody has already written that) - react first to the studio version and than go to watch it live although their live performances as so close to these recorded in the studio (or even better)💕
Lol. There’s life before Led Zeppelin and a helluva life after Led Zeppelin. Check out Whole Lotta Love by them.
Lol yea I’m figuring that out🤣 & definitely will👌🏻
Good musicians don’t play music ..
They feel it ...
We don't have anything like it.
Fact. I grew up with it, and when I see young people LOVE
Led Zeppelin, it makes me so happy.
this is the best rock band of all time. nothing but classics. here's a few to check out - whole lotta love - thank you - babe, i'm gonna leave you - tangerine - black dog, and - your time is gonna come, just to name a few. you should also check out stairway to heaven from that same live show at MSG.
Will definitely check those out!
@6:48.... well you see....
theres a band GRETA VAN FLEET
Check them out
-"Highway Tune"
-"Black Smoke Rising"
-"Safari Song"
-"When the Curtain Falls"
-"Broken Bells"
On that night, maybe even for this song, Page was the GOAT!
Since I have been lovin you live is the best version of a recorded song at a concert live ever. Sade in concert whenever wherever is up there too.
There are no words....🙆♂️🤷♂️☘
The prototype for all rock frontmen, period! The entire 80’s hair metal bands all bought the Robert Plant starter kit!
It has been said, the shirts or blouses he wore on stage were from the women he just spent the night with prior. 🤔😜
Lol I have a feeling that might be true based on the women in the audience faces 🤣🤣🤣
I've always maintained that Zep is music for moods and emotions. It becomes a primal understanding unique to each listener. I said you'd be surprised. Here's a challenge for you, you may think you know Stairway, but you never watched it live from Madison Square Garden. Please react to it, I sincerely doubt you will be disappointed. I know you have to pause/fast forward the video to not get blocked, however, if you do Stairway, please do neither during the guitar solo. 😊
Ok I accept that challenge!!
@@journeymariereacts Laughing: It is also pretty intense, like this one.
Also, I gave you a list of Zep song suggestions. Below are audio links and links to live performances, if possible. You should do both where possible because Zep improvised during their live performances so they often sounded different album v. live and they're both worth listening to because they'll each inspire their own feelings.

@@journeymariereacts I'm a big Zep fan and am always happy to help a new fan - welcome to the Zep family!
This sure is a different type of music. The best!
Some other great blues soul tracks are “you shook me” “I can’t quit you babe” “babe I’m gonna leave you””lemon song”
Robert is killer, welcome to the Zep JMR!!!
This is passion!!!☮️❤️
Give the Album version a listen - it may be the best Rock/blues song ever.
There are many bands that went beyond making simple music, they created art, masterpieces that transcend time, forever will be listened to, unlike music these days, bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones and then you have others too like Metallica, Guns 'n Roses n so on, music n artists that have changed the world
Beautiful 💕 love to hear some Nina Simone , such as my baby just cares for me and Billy holiday , good morning heartache
Definitely adding these and doing them soon🙏🏼😊
Welcome to the best of the '70s. i enjoyed your enjoyment. Save for Bonzo's drumming LIVE which w/ along Joe Morello is as good as it gets---i like the more straightforward Studio Version. Also, for great results: check out Canned Heat at Woodstock.
His guitar is talking!
Your here now sister!
This my Dear is the Blues on acid! 😎
🤣🤣🤣
I watched this live lady ..
Nothing like live instruments!
A British band showing America how the BUES is play.
If you ever listen to Janice Joplin , Robert Plant was channeling her a lot in his career at this point I think. She died very young and about 2 years before this concert was made ..
I don’t I’ve ever listened to her but maybe I’ll react to her at some point👌🏻thanks for this comment🙏🏼
Yea she is very well known and does bring in the views for reactions. ........ '''Take Another Piece Of My Heart''' '''Try A Little Bit Harder''' and Tom Jones & Janis Joplin - Raise Your Hand .. You have got to see her and Tom Jones ,,,,, that is one to watch and is a popular video .. ,
@@VIDSTORAGE ok I’ll definitely react to her soon thanks so much for the suggestions🙏🏼
Broke the mold after his band. There will never be another like it.
Marie is smokin'!!! 🔥
Try a review of Deep Purple. Or the Stones. ✅
IN MY TIME OF DYING
LIVE at EARL'S COURT 1975
🐐🐐🐐🐐
Check out When The Levee Breaks. You can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin.
5:15 "Man, if I kept up on the guitar lessons, I could've been on that stage, but nooooo, I'm stuck here doing this crap!"
Thyeb only other band that does this is Deep Purple. They were called the Unholy Trinity. Zeppelin, Purple and Sabbath.
Check out Whole Lotta Love Live! Also you should watch The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song live, it’s waaay better than the studio version tbh
Ok I definitely will thank you!
Very nice top/dress. I think I have the same one :D
Thank you😊
Try "In my time of dying ". You will love it
Ok I’ll try it😊
The underlying sound of the British invasion is blues. Before there was rock music, in the UK, the guys that eventually made rock music, were making blues. Their rock over there was borne out of American blues, and and American rock was borne out of more like big band, jazz and country.
Oh wow ok, thank you for letting me know the history🙏🏼
If there was a video Webster's Dictionary I believe under confidence you would have to have a video of Plant!
Please react to Jerry Cantrell - Leave Me Alone
There are a lot of songs to choose from. I would recommend "Ramble On" and "Kashmir" if you haven't heard those before. I would say to listen to the studio version, not a life version.
You should check out Invent Animate - The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was [Official Music Video]
Its heavy as balls but also beautiful at the same time. A masterpiece imo.
Adding to the list👌🏻🙏🏼
Welcome down the rabbit hole, dear.
Usted es muy bonita e instr7mentañ
Graciasss❤️
The list of song you could give a try is almost endless....
Lets start with the basics to get your journey off to a good start.
Yardbirds : Over Under Sideways Down
Pantera: I'm Broken , Cemetery Gates
Van Halen: Mean Street, Ain't Talking Bout Love, Unchained, Running with The Devil
Led Zeppelin: When The Levee Breaks, Kashmir
Mountain: Mississippi Queen
Faith No More: Midlife Crisis
CCR: Fortunate Son
Black Sabbath: Sweetleaf, N.I.B., Paranoid
Lynard Skynard: Gimme Three Steps, Freebird
Johnny Cash: A Boy Named Sue, I've Been Everywhere, Cocaine Blues
Rolling Stones: Sympathy For The Devil, Paint It Black, Gimme Shelter
The Who: Who Are You
Elton John: Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting
INXS: Pretty Vegas
I think that's enough to wet the appetite and then who knows where you'll go from there. Metallica, Rush, Ozzy Osbourne...Type O Negative?!? This will be fun to watch.
Thank you sooo much for the recommendations they’re greatly appreciated🙏🏼I’ll try my best to get to these asap!!
The lady in the Audience at 7:12 is his wife
You should start from song one, from album one!
Take mushrooms and watch the song remains the same. Led Zeppelin movie. Followed by Pink Floyd The Wall. And end it with RUSH. exit stage left movie.🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍻🍻🍺🍺🚬🚬🥰🥰😇😇👽🛸👽🛸🖖🖖😄🤪🤪🍸🍕☕🍩🚬🌲🌲🌲Fine Pine Marijuana.
I agree that music like this isn't really made anymore; the only current band that I can think of if you like Led Zeppelin's sound is Greta Van Fleet
LZ were influenced by the blues and their 1st album had many cues to guys like willy dixon
❤❤❤❤
🫶👋👋
By the middle of the decade they were the biggest band in the world, but there was very little critical approval to go with it. They sold tickets and albums by the bucket, though. And if it sounds nuanced now, it's only because the generation to follow bludgeoned us into submission with even greater volume (and technique).
Robert plant
The golden god .
Where have you been? You probably wasn't born yet. 🤣. This had to be in the 70's. There were so many good bands back then.
Born 2001🤣
most singers can sing in 2 octaves and that's with autotune. Plant could sing in 4 octaves. no auto tune
Why is it jumping around, cutting pieces out?
This was my first time reacting so I made some mistakes😬
this is nowhere near robert peak voice, he could go ALOT higher before 1973 and the power he had needs to be heard to be believed!!
Wow it’s hard to be believe he could go HIGHER?!? I can’t wait to listen to more😁
@@journeymariereacts this is a great live jam showing alot but not all of roberts MASSIVE range and power ua-cam.com/video/J54NapjjbZY/v-deo.html
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, interrupt the guitar solo. That's the one thing you cannot do in reactions. I'm going to try and follow you to see if you can grow your channel. Because as it has been said, it really is great to see a younger generation appreciate the music we already know.
Oh looky look Zeppellin! I am an original Zep Head from the 60s let's see what you saying.
My word you are so young looking to me
Are you like 18 or so?
21😊
You’re reviews are really good, but the cutting parts of songs kinda sucks.
The crowd is really stoned, not mesmerized.
There is no need to cut portions of the video, you pause enough to keep your video from being band. And never never ever pause during a guitar solo please.
Watch my newest zeppelin reaction that I just posted, barely any cuts I promise🙏🏼
My Dear you cut out great parts of this performance?🤨
I’ll definitely make sure not to do that in future reactions👌🏻
I like your videos, but I'm not impressed cutting out so many pieces and stopping it so many times during guitar solos. This is an amazing song
Well if I’m just listening and not really reacting I wasn’t sure if the audience would want to sit there and watch that but now that I know you all do, I’ll definitely cut out much less if any at all in the future!
Thank you, that's the honest way @@journeymariereacts
Don’t ever compare this with rap! 🤨
Never did…
No, they most certainly do not make music like this anymore.
I’m not watching you look at your phone. Out
I was reading the lyrics🤷🏼♀️
Why did you cut it off before the end? I can't subscribe, sorry but you are too full of yourself at the expense of the music. A shame because you are clearly appreciative of the music!
No problem have a good day
