jimmy absoluteyl did make the guitar SING AND CRY. there are lots of technically great guitarists but very VERY few who can have a conversation using it
We DEFINITLY do not have music like this anymore. Man, I wish we did. We feel a lot less in our music these days. At least commercial radio. You'll find gems on college stations and NTS Radio. But this was something else. Nobody ever shredded the shreds out of their guitar like Page does in this. Thanks for reacting. Love that you're feeling and appreciating it so much.
This song (and performance) shows how the band can go from sensitive emotion and blues to absolute fireworks in an instant. As you say, they all get to shine and show off their amazing skills. They are one of those bands that produces albums of songs that are completely different from each other, versatile and creative.
Zeppelin ruled the universe. I fell in love with “THAT VOICE” in 1970. Then about a month later I saw them on a magazine. I about had a sheer heart attack because seeing that blonde curly mane of hair. I appreciate each of them but Robert is my ❤️my husband laughs at me . I say hey it’s been 52 years that’s dedication
i have always been aware of Led Zep. i knew they were a great band. Black Dog. Stairway to heaven etc. But i thought people were going overboard saying they were the greatest ever. But after witnessing this performance i totally get it. Totally unbelievable
PSA: I’m sorry I cut out too much of the guitar solo, I wasn’t sure if you all would want to watch me sit there if I’m not doing much reacting but I’ll definitely cut out much less if any at all in the future! Thank you for your patience seeing as I’m just getting started & still learning🙏🏼😊
LOL, NEVER cut out ANY of a guitar solo. Or anything for that matter. We can always ff past stuff we don't want. Oh and when dealing with Robert Plants "tight pants" it's more than fine to comment about how tight they are. LOL.
I want to see your expressions throughout the entire performance. I would actually suggest that when you stop too say something that you back up the performance 10 seconds when you start playing it again. Great job!
You GET IT. The music of Led Zeppelin makes you FEEL. You also pointed out how they all shine. Jimmy Page stated in an interview that the music of Led Zeppelin was designed to FEATURE every band member. You have great instincts.
Glad you're enjoying Led. My own reaction to this performance definitely cemented my love for Led. Definitely recommend "Whole Lotta Love", "When the Levee Breaks", "Black Dog", and "Kashmir".
You're headed in the right direction... It's your feeling(s) for the music more than your editing choices IMO, and you've got that feeling right down to your bones! I'm everyday so grateful to have been a young teen when these great bands -- the Beatles, the Stones, the Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, ELP, Pink Floyd, Yes, and Zepp -- first came out; the concerts were unimaginably incredible!!!
New subscriber... cool to see someone new to Led Zeppelin discover their songs. There are a ton of amazing bands but in my opinion there are none who have the sheer volume of great songs as LZ. The Beatles maybe but that's it. I always recommend the studio version before a live version, although this one was pretty amazing. Other great Led Zeppelin songs to consider reacting to: Fool in the Rain, Dazed & Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, When the Levee Breaks, Kashmir, Ramble On, Rock & Roll, Black Dog... and of course Stairway to Heaven
I will tell you there is no music like this nomore! Lol they are mesmerized and high as F&@k as was the band also! I saw them a few years later at MSG in 76! They were exceptional!❤
@@journeymariereacts thank you for choosing these guys!! What a history of rock music!!! What I can suggest (I think somebody has already written that) - react first to the studio version and than go to watch it live although their live performances as so close to these recorded in the studio (or even better)💕
Glad you loved this song and they definitely have stage presence which is why it's good to see live performances. The ladies especially seem to like the live reactions to be mesmerized by the Golden God frontman Robert Plant 😉 Don't chop out any of the songs we love it all in it's entirety 🤘
I was lucky enough to grow up in the 70s as a teen and saw Led Zeppelin in Oakland Day On the Green Oakland Stadium July 1977. It was the last North American Concert for this incredible band. They left Oakland bound for New Orleans for more shows on the tour when tragedy struck the band. Robert Plant the lead singer's 4 yr old son Karac died from an infection. They canceled the rest of the tour flew back to the UK and never played again in the US. The next time they played was 1979 at Knebworth in England. Then in 1980 their great drummer John Bonzo Bonam died and that ended Led Zeppelin. The dream rock n roll band. The greatest Rock band ever. They played at Live Aid in 1985 with a Phil Collins but it was not the same. Very good but not the original Zep. No one could ever replace Bonzo. So there you have it, you can see how special this band was and will forever be and has influenced so many bands and their music and have left deep impressions with the rest of us. When you play Zep you have to play them loud to really appreciate every aspect of their music. Both Jimmy Page on guitar and Robert Plant on vocals took everything to another level and about 10 more levels above the first level if that makes sense, not to forgot the great John Paul Jones on bass and keyboards and many other instruments, he was a master and the great Bonzo on drums. Simple but so complex. Words can hardly do justice to Led Zeppelin and their music. The good thing is they will live on forever in their music.
this is the best rock band of all time. nothing but classics. here's a few to check out - whole lotta love - thank you - babe, i'm gonna leave you - tangerine - black dog, and - your time is gonna come, just to name a few. you should also check out stairway to heaven from that same live show at MSG.

I’ll definitely make sure not to do that in future reactions👌🏻
I like your videos, but I'm not impressed cutting out so many pieces and stopping it so many times during guitar solos. This is an amazing song
Well if I’m just listening and not really reacting I wasn’t sure if the audience would want to sit there and watch that but now that I know you all do, I’ll definitely cut out much less if any at all in the future!
Thank you, that's the honest way @@journeymariereacts
