Like every hot blooded male teen of the 80s, I was smitten with Tawny Kitaen, and while it is true that she was most recognized for the reasons listed below [model, Mrs Coverdale, video vixen], I feel it necessary to point out that she was an actress in her own right,,,with guest appearances in shows like Seinfeld, Married with Children, Hercules and C.S.I. among others. She also did a lot of work on Santa Barbara, and was the ONLY reason to tune in for the new WKRP in Cincinnati.....sad to realize she's gone...sigh, I miss the 80s.
This is one of the most beautiful romantic rock songs, is a true classic that taking me to my childhood in early 90s, when I was growing up and finding this amazing music.... And Tawny... Wow, for me she was the most sexy woman alive in that time.
White Snake was a "Super Group"....! Coverdale is Amazing, even now. ( RIP Tawny Kitaen) You made boys, MEN and BIG hair..........MY weakness for 20yrs) (lm 54. LOL) Take me back to the 80s, PLzzzzzz Bisscute..... Needs a DRESS like this.....! YES LOL (Wink)
So, you're probably already getting this, but the woman in the video was Tawny Kitaen, who was a model and actress that was mainly just known for being hot in the 80s. I think she hooked up with the guitar player from the band Ratt, when they were both teenagers, before he was famous, and she ended up being on the cover of one of their albums, and in one of their music videos, which I guess is what first got her attention. Then she ended up married to the lead singer of Whitesnake for a couple years, and was in a few of their videos. Actually, she's probably more infamous for their video for "Here I Go Again", which is their other huge hit song, but for some reason everyone reacts to this, and not it. Anyways, she had done some TV and movies, but again, she was basically just know for being a hot chick, and she was pretty wild in real life, and it seems kind of about that life. She had an affair with OJ Simpson at one point, and then, she was married to a baseball player for a handful of years, and had a couple daughters with him, but she was eventually arrested after, I guess they got into a fight, and she physically attacked and abused him! Then, I think she got busted a few times, once for having some Cocaine, and I think a couple times for drunk driving. She eventually died, I think due to some odd heart condition.
Oh. My. Gosh!! Just try and find ANY q7 or 18 year old when this album came out that DIDN'T have the hots for this woman!! Tawney Kitaen. Oof! RIP hon! Now....the SONG. Amazing amazing amazing!! I wore this cassette out in my car stereo. And soooo many great songs, and the videos all have her in them. Really great! Lol.
Yes, this is a classic country song 😊 Here are five random good Country Songs: - Jason Michael Carrol: Where I’m From - Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man - Doug Stone: A Jukebox with a Country Song - Garth Brooks: Unanswered Prayers - Alabama: Song of the South - Hank Williams Jr: Simple Man
FYI: David Coverdale and John Sykes wrote this song for Tina Turner. She heard it and told them this was going to be a hit so she asked them to keep it for themselves.
Actually the record company people of David Coverdale recommended that he should sing it himself, because of the hit potential. And the it went to #2 in the Billboard charts
Whitesnake was so one of the mot popular hard rock bands of the 80s and still around in some form today I think . They went through some personnel changes over the years but singer David Coverdale was the constant. They are actually kind of an off shoot of Deep Purple as Coverdale came from Deep Purple's MK III and MK IV lineups and initially Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice and keyboardist Jon Lord were also in Whitesnake. Paice and Lord were original Deep Purple members and Paice is back with Deep Purple now and Jon Lord passed away. I don't believe Paice or Lord were in Whitesnake at the time of this song.
There are a lot of Whitesnake songs to discover for you. But now, that you started with "Is this love" it would make sense to check out next the other two songs from this video trilogy: "Here I go again" and "Still of the night".
More Whitesnake:Fool For Your Loving,Love Ain't No Stranger,Here I Go Again,Looking For Love,Judgment Day,Wings Of The Storm,Crying In The Rain,The Deeper The Love,Too Many Tears,Ready An' Willing.
Go back to the album Slide It In which had Slide It In and Slow and Easy. Great album and i heard them when released because I'm old. Lol If high voice isn't your thing then Steelheart: Never Let You Go will probably cause a problem but it is an amazing vocal performance. 🤟
Still of the Night; Here I go Again; The Deeper the Love; Crying in the Rain - as suggested by others but ALSO, MANDATORILY: Slave, Sailing ships, Only My love, Too many tears, Restless Heart, Wings of the storm, Fool in love again, Best years, Soldier of Fortune, Don't Fade away, My Evil Ways
Hey there Bisscute, I've been following your channel and I almost never comment but I enjoy watching you react to these fantastic genre of music, before you proceed to listen to another band I'd really love it if you could react to "Still of the Night" it is a mandaroty song, I can confidently say it would be on the top 3 of all glam metal songs ever played during the 80's and beginnings of the 90's... (in my opinion of course) yeah, it's right there along with "Radar Love" as made famous by White Lion with a fantastic drum solo in the middle of the song (if you could also react to that one please!! 🙏), and to tell you the truth is not very popular with the reactions/reactors since I haven't watched videos on that one, I'd really love it if you could be the first one I watch reacting to it. This song originally belongs to the band "Golden Earring" Which is algo good but in this case I believe the cover overshadowed the original, which is really hard for it to happen but it does. Steve Vai, and I promise you will luv the song and the video.
Vivian didn't play one note of this song. He never was on any Whitesnake recordings. The band that recorded the album this song is from was - John Sykes (guitar) , Neil Murray (bass) , Aynsley Dunbar (drums) , Don Airey (keyboards). The singer David Coverdale fired the band after the record was finished except for Don Airey. He hanpicked the replacement band for the videos & the tour. They were - Vivian Campbell (guitar) , Adrian Vandenburg (guitar) , Rudy Sarzo (bass) and Tommy Aldridge (drums). Adrian did record the guitar solo on Here I Go Again after Sykes refused to fly back to the U.S. to rerecord his solo as he was happy with the solo he had played. Nothing against Vivian cause he's an awesome player , he just didn't play anything you hear in Whitesnake. Steve Vai was on the next album , Slip Of The Tongue.
@@rogerdaly6326 that's Vivian Campbell in the video, and you have heard his interview where he said he was in whitesnake and as you say he got sacked. Anyway thanks for unscrambling who went where in that time of this video. Vivian to me is the king of solos from the DIO years the holy diver album and the last in line album and the sacred heart album, from 1983 Vivian's solos are still fresh as ever.
@@VojislavANDELKOVIC Vivian was in the videos and he went on tour but was never on any of their albums. And i agree about his time in Dio. I met him when he was on tour with the DIO tribute band Last In Line.
@@rogerdaly6326 thanks for updating me with your spot on info bro.
Tawny my adolescent live.RIP.
And today, the greatest singer in the history of pop music Alla Pugacheva turned 75 years old!
A great song, love your reaction ❤️🙏
This is one of the most beautiful romantic rock songs, is a true classic that taking me to my childhood in early 90s, when I was growing up and finding this amazing music.... And Tawny... Wow, for me she was the most sexy woman alive in that time.
White Snake was a "Super Group"....! Coverdale is Amazing, even now. ( RIP Tawny Kitaen) You made boys, MEN and BIG hair..........MY weakness for 20yrs) (lm 54. LOL) Take me back to the 80s, PLzzzzzz
Bisscute..... Needs a DRESS like this.....! YES LOL (Wink)
Nice very wonderful song
F.R. David - Words (original) or F.R. David - Words Juan (Spanish clip) is very nice, too.
I've seen this band twice great band
Oh. My.
Lol.
Yes, this is a classic country song 😊
Here are five random good Country Songs:
- Jason Michael Carrol: Where I’m From
- Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man
- Doug Stone: A Jukebox with a Country Song
- Garth Brooks: Unanswered Prayers
- Alabama: Song of the South
- Hank Williams Jr: Simple Man
You have a really sweet smile❤😊
Hi Bisscute your cuteness. I hope you're having an amazing week.
❤❤❤ hola. Biss y que dices. Esto. Amor. Muy. Buena canción. Un abrazo
@@Snakehead1964 You might want to correct the Professor of Rock. I got that from his UA-cam channel.
@@MikeHawthorne-qv2ft I got my version from DC :-)
More Whitesnake:Fool For Your Loving,Love Ain't No Stranger,Here I Go Again,Looking For Love,Judgment Day,Wings Of The Storm,Crying In The Rain,The Deeper The Love,Too Many Tears,Ready An' Willing.
que gran cancion, ademas muy bonita es Biscute
Another good white snake song would be, love Ain't No Stranger, It's from The slide it in album, 1983 or 84, I think you would like that one
R.I.P. Tawny......😔. A unforgettable song with Vandenberg and Campbell guitars.
I love White Snake and this song.
Check out some of their older stuff, like Slide It In & Down Slow & Easy. Both are a bit heavier songs.
This song sounds very good 👍
Go back to the album Slide It In which had Slide It In and Slow and Easy. Great album and i heard them when released because I'm old. Lol
If high voice isn't your thing then Steelheart: Never Let You Go will probably cause a problem but it is an amazing vocal performance.
Anyway those are my suggestions for you Bisscute I really hope you can consider them, thanks a lot, I wish more people could support my opinion, you won't be disappointed, guaranteed.
