- Here's the review of the WatchDives WD1967 Sharkmaster 300. Which is one of the new watches from Watchdives, where they have improved things over their previous offerings. They also currently have a sale on until the 27th of November too.

Got this in the sterile dial. For under $200, I cant complain. Beats any Seiko prospex under $800. The best part is nobody really knows its an homage watch. Unless you are an Omega fanboy, you probably wouldn't know where the styling came from.
The quality you can get for this kind of money now is crazy isn't it?
I'd prefer this over any Omega, because unlike their offerings, the case dimensions are wearable. I went to the Omega AD in hopes of buying my first Omega, and was disappointed that everything was too large. Same for Breitling next door. This watch looks great.
The dimensions on this are nice.
I gues you missed the Planet Ocean 39.5. Almost exact same proportions...
@@nightstalker824he missed much more than Planet Ocean...
New Omega watches are way to big and thick but there's more than plenty of older ones with perfect dimensions
@@nightstalker824 I didn’t, no. A case’s width isn’t the only dimension to take into consideration. It’s too thick. The bracelet is thick, bulky, and heavy. People that own that watch often complain of the weight. I knew not to buy for those reasons alone.
Love this divers style from 70,s the contrast, the piano black dial, the numerals, very nice watch. Wonderfull on the wrist. On the list. I don't expected this project design from watch dives. Congrats. Thanks a lot for your top top revues, always whith interesting watches.
They've done a really good job with it haven't they? Especially the reduced size compared to the Helson.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the reviews.
If omega pull their finger out and stop releasing the 90th million speed master and actually re-released the 300, they would literally fly off the shelves.. for the money, this doesn’t look too bad 👍
Yeah you're probably right.
Only problem is it would probably cost a fortune...
Can't beat it for the price. I really like it. Would have also preferred clear AR, but the blue is not a deal breaker for me. I like the logo and no date version the best. Thank you for sharing James. Cheers
You are getting a lot of watch for your money. Thanks for watching mate.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWRAbsolutely. Thank you for the excellent work that you do 👏
Hi buddy. Really nice looking watch this one. With some watches Blue AR can be distracting but with this one it breaks up the monotone well so I actually like it. Great review 😊
I think so too. Thanks mate.
Overall, a good product. However a slight thickening of the minute hand would help visibility, especially in the dark.
Also the large trapezoidal hour markers needs much heavier application of lume because they fade out far too quickly.
Clear non-reflective coating would be an improvement.
Waiting for V2.
Great looking watch. Nothing original but that dial and bezel really pop! Digging this.
Cheers!
They do indeed.
There's actually 4 options if you count the sterile dial option as well as the two date locations and no date!
As an owner of the Helson Sharkmaster as well, I find this one to be noticably smaller, especially when compared side by side. (2.7mm smaller across bezel)
Yeah that's true. But the sterile dial option is out of stock I think.
Which do you prefer size wise then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I actually prefer the larger Helson's size. I also have a Borealis GMT version in the mail on the way, and it's the same size as the Helson 41.5mm (I guess you can tell I like MilSpec Seamaster 300 Homages)
@@DarthPlaya 😆 You certainly do don't you.
Nice review, I do like the no date option and the ghost position doesn't worry me, but I'm just not that keen on Omega lug design and the minute track seemed to overwhelm the dial somehow.
Cheers mate. That's fair enough. You can't like them all.
The shark master form helson is far above and worth the price with an eta2824 👍
Each to their own I guess.
This looks good the dimensions are spot on
Yeah I think so too.
This is a beautiful watch.
I ordered it as soon as it was released (same version-no date-). As a fan of the Omega vintage milspec, and happy owner of the Omega 2254 Peter Blake, which was already a kind of homage to their old seamaster milspec, I couldn't get the Helson Sharkmaster but I find the watchdives version awesome for the price. Great size, great dial, hands, lume, bracelet with fine adjustment, a real bargain; watchdives did a great job! (I just miss the big triangle from the omega milspec seamaster but still awesome)
I completely agree with everything you said.
It would be lovely to have a Broad Arrow at 12 instead of the logo, on the sterile dial.
The sterile dial no date version has the big triangle at the 12 position.
V2 baby!!
In this case I would have gone for the date a 6 o'clock, just to avoid the ghost position issue. To be honest, can't really see past the blue AR. It's quite noticeable because the bezel is deep black.
I almost went for that one myself.
The AR is definitely going to be decisive.
I like the watch, but I am certain I won't be anywhere near any shark.
You never know 😉
It should be homage of "A" homage, not "AN" homage. An proceeds a vowel. Nice watch by the way
But you don't pronounce the 'h' as homage is a French word. So technically 'an' is fine. At least that's my understanding of it anyway.
Any idea why clear AR is seldomly used? Nice watch, nice review 👍
It's more expensive apparently.
Cheers mate 👍
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR okay I see, thnx
Borealis gives dial and date position options
Ah ok. Any particular models?
The AR is blue due to the lack of coats. More coats and it becomes clearer. It's due to the blue wavelength causing a problem.
I love the look apart from that AR
Ah ok. I didn't know that. Thank you for the information.
I'm sure Breitling would've figured that out by now. I don't think that's why it's blue, but I'm not a watchmaker so what do I know 🤷♂️
Very interesting!
Nice watch but this blue AR coating is a deal breaker for me and too much distorsions due to the curvature of the domed sapphire. Hope for a V2 with clear AR coating, vintage aluminium bezel and a NH 38 for the no date version.
That's fair enough.
Great calls - WD did most of these changes on the V2👌
Why they still put NH35 into no-date watches is weird. Those companies own NH34 so perhaps it's just because they have so many of NH35 and it's cheaper. I don't know.
Yeah that's probably the reason. If they used the NH38 it would be better though.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yes, I meant that not NH34
I don't think I'm buying another blackb dial watch with blue AR coating. Serious pet peave... Not at bad but Same sort is deal with a NH35 on no date dial. Also is somebody wants to sell me another retro style dive watch, and matte finished bezel insert will probably help a lot.... Those corners cut are really dampening my enjoyment of many watches.
That's fair enough mate. Thanks for watching anyway.
Does the minute hand look undersized?
In what way?
It appears quite thin still very cool
@@johnmonachelli5256 Yeah I suppose it is kind of thin, especially compared to the hour hand.
Too busy but at least it's not another homage of a rolex
👀
So disappointed it's so small....41mm and I'd be straight in!
Would've been better at a tad bit larger. Maybe like 41mm and thinned it out a little more.
Nice looking watch, but too small unfortunately
What size wrist do you have?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR 8" or so. Dial size aside, anything much smaller then 48 lug to lug looks silly on me. My sweet spot tends to be 40-42mm and 48-50 L2L. I saw you post about this and went to take a look before I even watched the whole video and was so bummed at the dimensions because overall I love the look.
@@dubester1982 Ah ok. That's makes sense.

В этих часах мне не нравится выпуклое стекло...
Вообще или из-за синего АР?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I don't like the distortion of glass
@@user-xu2kk1xi2t Oh ok.
